I made an appt for a consultation and when I got there a "patient care coordinator" wanted to do my consult! Zero medical background, degrees or experience! I took time out of my day for this. Unbelievable they have a random person with no medical background doing surgical consult! This should be illegal. They don't disclose this when you book the appt for consultation. Don't be fooled. You will not see a surgeon. Please do your research before places like this try to pass on "patient care coordinators" as a surgeon. Unable to give zero stars here. read more

I came here for a transaxillary breast augmentation, and literally SO SO pleased. I came from OC / LA, so there were obviously a bunch of options out there, but I didn't feel ready until I came here and had my initial consultation with Andrea and Dr. Costa. One of the things I noticed that they provided was a 3D imaging scan where they take photos from different angles of you and then show you the different sizes and types of implants it would look like on your body. Rather than only getting a mental image of like "oh maybe this person's size fits on my body" vs actually seeing a potential rendering, I got extremely clear information and visuals on the cc sizes and could see what the differences would be. I didn't realize other offices didn't offer this service for a consult. I was looking for a place that was up-to-date with technology, had great openness and honest communication with patients, and of course great results. Loved the overall energy and vibe of the staff, and I felt like I could put my trust into the team with it being my first surgical procedure ever. I LOVE Dr. Costa, Platinum Plastic Surgery. I had buttock implants removed in 2006 but another surgeon due to complications leaving me with excess skin. Dr. Costa did a buttock lift to remove the excess skin which helped eliminate the rolls of skin where the bottom of my buttock and thighs were and tighten the overall skin caused by the empty pockets where the implants once were and the late loose skin in my crack. For the first time in many years I can wear for fitting jeans, shorts and feel like I look great in anything! I'm almost 48 years old and just has my 6 week surgical post op Friday. **This review is of my experience with my consultation appointment. ** My experience began with Platinum when I called to make my consult appt. - I found Dr. Costa's practice through RealSelf since he's highly rated there. The office staff was kind and diligent with scheduling me and taking my consultation fee payment over the phone. I will say that it costs $250, but the fee is applied to your procedure. They are high tech, so it was nice to fill out all of my patient forms ahead of time online!! When I walked into the office for my consult, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and cleanliness of the waiting room! This is my third or so consult with different plastic surgeons (multiple opinions) and this was the first time that I was in a high end/elite type office. They presented me with a gift bag right away and offered water. Soon after (on time!), Amber took me back and made me comfortable in an exam room - again BEAUTIFUL decor. She took high tech *before* photos of me using 3D imaging software. The Dr. was later able to use this digital rendering to show me what I'd look like after my chin augmentation/lipo procedure. Dr. Costa was kind, knowledgable, and not showy/over dramatic. I've met so many doctors that were just so high strung ready to book my surgery and fix me, that Dr. Costa's chill nature was VERY refreshing. I am a patient of Dr Costa's but I am also a surgeon.  I am very meticulous with my skin closures and that was one of my greatest concerns.  Dr. Costa did a fantastic job and I am very happy with my incisions. Dr. Costa is extremely well educated, his training background is impressive and he is beyond intelligent but at the same time he is humble, approachable and personable.  He really takes the time to listen. I've been waiting to write this review for a very long time. My original procedure was in June of 2023. I found Dr. Costa online and was sure this is where I wanted to go for my Lipo and BBL. I flew from Sacramento and brought my mom with me as my caregiver. I was pretty confident that I was going to come out looking better than what I had gone in looking like. The procedure itself went okay and staff is very nice. However, my BBL wnas indeed botched. 2 days post op I already knew it wasn't looking right only on the right side. I mentioned this during my post op massage when when Dr. Costa came to assess me. Well, nothing could be done immediately but the fat was placed way lower than my other side. Once I recovered, I was told that this was due to my skin laxity, and that the fat couldn't be held up because I didn't have good skin laxity. I had to fly there soon after my recovery about 6-7 weeks post op for him to remove 200ml on my right side. Of course, with removing 200ml fat on one side, I was now uneven. So I came back to Vegas 6 times to get microneedling RF treatments to tighten my skin and then came back again the following year January 2024 so he can fix that area on the right side and he said he put 200ml more of fat on the right side and stated he released some ligaments so the fat will fall correctly. well in the process he missed a whole hip dip. On that right side. It looks slightly better with the fat he did add but not nearly what I had imagined. After $17k I spent on the procedure and about another $4k I spent on stays and flights, I can say it was not worth it. I think this was something that Dr. Costa should have taken upon himself to correct because it's not about skin laxity. It was more about the technique, placement of the fat, and the way in which it was place wasn't tailored to my body. I am now left with a pointy behind and not round how I had imagined. The fat was placed all at the top and I'm missing basically an "under booty". Of course on the right side it's worse because my hip dip now wraps around to my cheek. When the fat was originally placed, it was placed under my hip dip, which I didn't understand because the hip dip is so prominent. Now it looks like I'm missing my hip on one side. Not to mention he left a whole lot of fat on my upper back which was supposed to be liposuctioned, and now I'm gaining more fat in that area. I felt he didn't do a great job liposuctioning my upper back. Like I said, extremely nice staff but my results were unsatisfactory and I'm left with something I regret spending 25k on. read more

I searched for a long time for a surgeon. I was VERY picky and particular who I would chose touch mutilate my body. This is the HOLY GRAIL of plastic surgeons! I searched for nearly a year between Vegas and Utah. I wanted someone who had EXTENSIVE experience and credentials to reduce my very large bust to something more proportional and pretty without giving me weird nipples like most reductions. Excited to come and finally write this review. I am three weeks out from a BBL, Lipo, 360, breast augmentation, left breast, lift, and tummy tuck. I did two years worth of research before I decided to go with Dr. Costa. I had seen three doctors before him and felt that he cared the most about him, my vision, but also gave me very realistic expectations based on my body. No other doctor had noticed that I have mild scoliosis. Not afraid to say that he was tied for the most expensive. However, I go for a quality, not quantity. His price included everything but also included what I felt to be the most protection for a surgery. What do I mean by that? I mean, the 12 lymphatic massages were included for aftercare, a nurse, who comes to my house to take care of me for 12 hours after surgery. The pain medication,... In my head that's priceless. Peace of mind. The front desk ladies are absolutely jewels. They answered all my questions via phone calls or emails. The customer service and respectability is five star. Amber is a lifesaver. She makes this experience stress free. And answers all of my text messages at all hours of the night. After my surgery, I did have a few complications. It had nothing to do with my doctor but with my body. I was healing too fast in the drain on my back closed three times in one week. Dr. Costa opened it a second time and massaged it himself to relieve the pressure. Then a few days later Amber made sure to come in on her day off And help reopen it to allow drainage and comfort. Everything that she prep me for before helped in my recovery the first 21 days. She had warned that one side could be bigger than the other side and that knots would happen and that one day I'd feel 100% but the next day I could feel 10%. Always true and I felt like Platinum Plastic surgery held my hand through the first 21 days. The third person who really comes to mine, who gave outstanding service and recovery was Aleacia my lymphatic massage caregiver. Talk about a five star personality and care. Talking with her during my painful massages helped to distract me. Not only that, but it is painful, but the sense of relief after the massage and seeing the fluids drain from my body helped me mentally prepare for this transition. She helped to reassure me that everything I was doing was right, but also to remind me on ways to help the swelling in my feet go down. The foods to eat and drink. that'll help in recover as well. She went above and beyond and knew my 75-year-old grandmother was taking care of me. I wanted to surprise my grandmother after my massage and schedule one for her and she accommodated me the day before. She really cares for her patients. I already love my results and cannot wait to see how much it is eight weeks later or even two months. I've showed people pictures now and they can't believe how great I look.
