My experience with Dr. Smith and the entire surgical, clinical, and office staff far exceeded all of my expectations! As a plus-size woman, I expected only modest results, which I would have been happy with. But Dr. Smith completely proved me wrong! From my very first consultation, everything was explained thoroughly, and I felt informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. The pricing was very fair, especially considering I had an extended abdominoplasty, liposuction, and a fat transfer to my buttocks (BBL). Scheduling my surgery was simple, and before my procedure I had another appointment where every detail was reviewed, including what to expect during recovery and everything I needed to do beforehand. I was especially impressed by how proactive the team was. They arranged my cardiac clearance, blood work, started me on antibiotics, and made sure I had all of my medications before surgery, which made the entire experience much less stressful. My surgical package also included an overnight nurse, my compression garment (faja), and all follow-up appointments, which added tremendous value. The on-site surgical center is beautiful, modern, and state of the art. When I saw my results on the very first day after surgery, I was absolutely stunned. Even while wearing my compression garment, my lower hanging belly was completely gone. The emotions and joy I felt are impossible to put into words. During the first two weeks of recovery, I had several follow-up appointments, and every member of the staff was caring, patient, and accommodating. I had a rhinoplasty and septoplasty performed by Dr. Smith in late 2019. This is my honest account of my experience. I have nothing to gain or lose by sharing it. Dr. Smith & his anesthesiologist were excellent. I remember telling Dr. Smith after surgery, "Your anesthesiologist was amazing." He replied, "Good. He better be, because I pay him a lot of money." I told him the anesthesiologist deserved a bonus. That part of my experience could not have gone more smoothly. Unfortunately, my experiences with several members of the staff have stayed with me to this day. Immediately before surgery, a staff member appeared extremely nervous while attempting several times to start my IV. I normally have no difficulty with IVs and have a high pain tolerance, but her visible anxiety and constant apologizing made me increasingly anxious & almost physically sick. Thankfully, the anesthesiologist stepped in & successfully placed it immediately. My first appointment after surgery affected me the most. I had just endured one of the worst nights of sleep of my life because my nose was tightly packed. I was in tremendous pain & doing everything I could to hold myself together in the waiting area. Two staff members were laughing loudly & joking with each other in the back. That did not initially bother me because I was simply trying to manage my pain. However, when I was called into the room, they remained in the same playful mood & began speaking to me in an exaggerated, babyish voice. They explained that they were going to remove the packing & give me a "mustache," referring to the gauze beneath my nose. They repeatedly told me in that same babyish voice that I was going to "have a mustache for a while." I felt mocked, patronized, & humiliated. I was an adult recovering from major surgery & in significant pain. I simply needed to be treated calmly & respectfully. Instead, I remained silent & answered only by nodding when necessary. When the packing was removed from the right side of my nose, the pain was unbearable. I felt intense pain travel through my nose & around my eyes, along with a distinct sensation that something had shifted or been knocked out of place. The pain continued afterward. The packing on the other side came out easily. I immediately began crying. Only after they saw me crying did their demeanor change and they begin speaking to me appropriately. As I continued caring for my nose during recovery, I could see that my septum appeared significantly bent to one side. I was devastated because I had specifically paid to have a septoplasty along with the rhinoplasty. I cannot know with certainty what caused it. I do not know whether the septoplasty did not heal as intended, whether there was a surgical complication, or whether something was affected when the packing was removed. However, because of the extreme pain & the sensation of something shifting during the nasal packing removal, I have always believed that something may have happened at that appt. The first time I brought the issue to Dr. Smith's attention, my nose was still healing & the area was covered with what I was told was scar tissue. He initially said everything was fine. At a later appointment, he examined it again & acknowledged that the septum was bent to one side. I tried to explain what I had experienced during the packing removal, but I never received a clear explanation. I felt dismissed & as though no one believed me. Eventually, I began accepting that this might simply be my new normal. I had another disappointing experience when my external cast was removed. The staff member handed me a mirror and excitedly told me, "Don't look at it yet!" She seemed determined to create a dramatic reveal. Internally, I was furious. I had spent more than $10,000 on a rhinoplasty & septoplasty, was already concerned about my septum, & had been waiting to see the result of my own surgery. I did not appreciate being told when I was allowed to look at my own face so that someone else could enjoy my reaction. When she finally gave me "permission" to look, I briefly glanced at my nose, handed the mirror back, & simply said, "I'm good." Seeing my nose for the first time should have been my moment, & I did not want anyone to take that away from me. That is my honest experience. I still do not know exactly what happened with my septum, but it remains visibly bent to one side (I still believe something happened during the nasal packing removal). More than anything, I wish my concerns had been taken seriously & that I had received a clear explanation. Externally, my nose is beautiful, & I am happy with its overall appearance. Dr. Smith did excellent cosmetic work. His anesthesiologist was also outstanding. Unfortunately, the way I was treated by certain members of the postoperative staff, along with the unresolved result of my septoplasty, continues to overshadow what otherwise could have been a very positive experience. read more

After my first cosmetic surgery I was so happy with the Dr. Smith I have had multiply surgeries going foreword. I did a rhino plasty along with a lip lift that turned out amazing, then more recently had Vaser Liposuction and following that a face lift. I had a breast augmentation done here in June 2025. It was my second BA; I was going from over the muscle to under the muscle. The results themselves look great. I think they look very natural and recovery was easy. The reasons for the 3 star review is because I do not like my scarring. My first BA the scarring was minima and in a straight small line. This scarring has like circles at the end and it looks like my stitches pokes out from my skin. At my 3rd post op appointment I pointed this out to the nurse who told me that the stitches dissolve and I need to massage them. Well months have gone by with DAILY massage and they look the same. I can literally feel the stitches still in there. Ugly scarring. The 2nd reason for the review is because he has a gigantic package of paperwork to fill out before hand with weird questions asking if you've ever sued a plastic surgeon and tons of other weird questions. The 3 rd reason for the review is because I wanted another procedure done, lipo, so I called to make and appointment. When I called, the lady on the phone mentioned that I had previously left a review for smiths because their wait time was 2 hours every single time I went. I thought it was extremely unprofessional for her to mention this especially because I had deleted the review after speaking to the doctor. After that interaction, I ended up going to another plastic surgeon in town and wait time was always under 30 minutes and he had very simple preop paperwork. I spent 2 months in Las Vegas (traveling from Idaho) under the care of Dr. Lane Smith for a potential reconstructive facial surgery. Dr. Smiths's initial requirements following his consultation was to undergo 8 weeks of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments (HBOT) in order to clear any possible infection that may be lingering due to my situation. I was introduced to Valerie who manages all of the HBOT appointments, and from the moment we talked regarding my sessions I instantly felt at ease, and this is very hard to come by these days in my opinion. Valerie is beyond professional and admirably knowledgeable about the HBOT process and treatment procedure. I was a terrified child entering into this new treatment, but she listened to my concerns and worked with me with respect to make sure I was comfortable, and each treatment got easier for me. Additionally, after several treatments, the long standing infection I had been fighting was completely clear and I truly owe Valerie and Dr. Smith deep gratitude because they essentially saved my life. The front office staff is great, so we're all the staff in the back, the doctors assistance were also wonderful, but Dr. Smith, I can't say so much I had a lower facelift plus a neck lift, and I was not happy with the results first after surgery they sent me home wrapped way too tight, which caused more complications than necessary. I had to go in for multiple procedures, lymphatic massages, which they did take care of because they knew they had made a mistake. After eight months I went back in like I said I was not happy and I was told to wait a few weeks and the doctor would look at the pictures that were just taken of me and get back to me well after a few months and going in twice, the doctor said $2500 and we can take care of what you're not happy with. I'm like wow how unprofessional I paid you a lot of money for the work to be done and now you wanna charge me $2500 to fix what you did wrong, I would definitely not recommend Dr. Smith for any procedures. My statements about Lane Smith's persona are my opinion, but events stated in this review are fact. EDIT: The office mgr responded to this review within seconds of leaving it. This guy is obsessed with his image, and it shows. Learn to accept criticism and do better. Females, this man is demeaning and disrespectful. If you read no further, that is all you need to know. Find a different surgeon. I was a patient in 2014 and 2015. I have previously left a review of my bad experience with Lane Smith, which was met with a snarky response by the office manager threatening to upload before and after photos - nude photos! - to Yelp. I immediately deleted the review because that is a disgusting threat from a medical provider. I don't even have social media or post my own photos let alone having a surgeon threatening posting them. I happened across his page again, and I still feel that my experience needs to be heard. I had a BBL done by Lane Smith in 2015. I was told I needed to gain 15 lbs in order to complete the procedure. This should have been the first red flag. Fast forward to after the surgery, I was in extreme pain and had trouble breathing. He ordered a chest x-ray to rule out pulmonary embolism. I wish he would have further investigated -- I ended up with heart failure, and I could have died on his operating room table. However, that isn't the point of this review. At my follow up appointment for the BBL, I told Lane Smith that I was unhappy with the results as I felt my stomach looked a bit deformed. He responded to me that I had body dysmorphia. I insulted his work, so he was quick to insult me. After leaving that appointment, I knew I would never go back to this guy for anything, even if I had already paid $20k and I wasn't happy with the results. 10 years later, I have noticed other issues that arose from my surgeries with this guy. This man gives other surgeons a bad name. Also, Desiree, before you come at me, you should reconsider your values and priorities in life. I chose Dr. Lane Smith for a breast augmentation and lift in August 2024. I believed I had done the proper research, and selected a skilled professional who would handle my case with compassion, care, and respect for his patients. In the beginning, Dr. Smith and his team were responsive, supportive, and clear in their communication --up until the moment I paid. From the day of surgery onward, the experience became completely disorganized and stressful. Communication between the physician, staff, and patients was severely lacking, which led to confusion and delays, especially when it came to mandatory post-op appointments. I voiced concerns about my results early on, but Dr. Smith and his team were dismissive and offered little explanation or reassurance. I showed up to appointments only to wait for hours, or be rescheduled weeks later with no notice, because he got held up in a pervious operation. My implants were clearly out of place, my chest was filled with fluids, and yet I was repeatedly told to "just wait another month" for them to settle. After three months, I took the time to meet with Dr. Smith again to discuss my results. It was clear and evident they did not sit correctly. At that point, he told me he couldn't have predicted the elasticity of my skin and that I would now need to pay another $8,000 for a lift revision surgery. What was most upsetting wasn't just the cost--it was the complete lack of care, during my consultation I was very clear about what I wanted, and asked him to tell me exactly what needs to be done to achieve those results, and that's what I paid for. It wasn't just a minor mishap, my breast augmentation looked terrible. Honestly. No one ever contacted me afterward to check on how I was doing, what I had decided, or how I was feeling. I have one little man nipple and one nipple that is confused. Both are numb with no response to cold or touch. I use to have sexy lady momma nipples, both were on the same page. Some times they were national geographic and they sometimes shrunk up like porno nips but Now they are lost causes. So sad and depressing. Why? I don't understand... I can't tell you how pleased I am with my results! I had a breast lift and implant surgery February 2026, Dr. Smith and his team are fantastic! I had explants last July, 2025 and I just wanted to see where I was at, unfortunately it wasn't good. I went to SPS for a consult, which the $100 fee goes toward your procedure, lots of surgeons call it "their time" and don't deduct if you do move forward. It was a very pleasant experience, I felt comfortable about choosing Dr. Smith vs. the other surgeons I consulted with. I met with the kindest coordinator after my consult, Britany Duncan, she's just so sweet and calm, booked my surgery the same day. The day of, Dr. Smith personally greeted me before my surgery, did some doodling on me and kept me calm. All the surgical staff was so nice, it was comforting. Went home in pain and began recovering until my first post-op appointment. Dr. Smith's nurse (forgot her name) is the sweetest person. She just makes you feel at ease, very personable. The follow ups are quick and you can ASK ANYTHING because it's not a timed visit. You are never rushed unless you want to be in and out. Another follow up a couple weeks later, same great experience. Dr. Smith listened to what I wanted, not what he prefers. You can watch educational videos for many procedures he performs. He gives you tons of information so that you know what will be going on during your "super nap". They accept Care Credit and PatientFi which is helpful if coming up with the total is not accessible. Dr Lane Smith performed a breast augmentation on me around Sept/Oct 2019. 4 years later and they're still good. No health issues. It is harder to do upper body workouts after surgery though. My journey: I went from a 32b to 32ddd . My goal was to achieve a body similar to other Asian import models & bottle service girls. I had overall good results and feel I truly look like a more established looking model. If you're looking for more in-depth surgery journeys, I would go on real self . Com I'm a 375cc gummy implant moderate profile . I flew from Bay Area to LV for my appointments before, during, and after my surgery. Staff was friendly, although I do remember they were ok with emailing and would receive a response few days later at most. I did not hire anyone, my mother helped me & we stayed at a hotel on the strip. There are a few minor things I don't like, but most surgeries are like that. (Hence the 4/5 stars) I had some keloid scars around my incision that can be remedied with steroid injections. (Didn't know what to do at first & reception never let me know what to do or follow up). How I heard about this doctor: I was referred to him by numerous industry friends from modeling & nightlife. I would like to say 10 girls I personally knew went to this doctor and had good results. I have a friend who also went to Lane Smith for bbl, lipo, fillers etc & boy does she look great. Her whole closet was only designer and she invested heavily into her body. Most girls I know receive a breast Augmentation, so I'm not too sure about their other services. They also have a medspa that I never checked out. I am a little over 1 week post op and I am absolutely in love with my results so far! From start to beyond post surgery, smith plastic surgery combined with chic la vie is phenomenal! Jessica was so helpful in the beginning stages answering any and all questions I had up to my surgery, I even went in for 2 consults with Dr. Smith to alleviate any questions I had. I don't use my real name- you didn't do a couples surgery- he had his done after mine while I was still healing. The teardrop implants were used and put in crooked and you used two different sizes and it's obvious. The implants did not stay in place. You refused to fix his surgery that has caused him a lot of pain- but avoiding his calls for a year. You can play dumb, that's fine. But this is my experience. I wouldn't be needing a revision so soon after if they weren't done poorly. I have made a review before. I selected the hyperbaric oxygen therapy offered by the Smith Plastic Surgery Center after visiting several others in Las Vegas. I wanted a center that had medical supervision as several others did not. I needed multiple preop & postop treatments due to impending oral surgery & a history of radiation therapy. I selected the Smith Center as they had a hard-shell chamber permitting two atmospheres of pressure as well as 100% oxygen. Some local centers offered only soft chambers & no oxygen which would not be adequate for the prescribed treatment. The technology was up to date & the chamber was spotless. Valerie, the technician in charge, was very knowledgeable, compassionate & always on time. She could be reached whenever needed either by phone or email.
