He truly understands what it's like to be on both sides of healthcare. I'm a woman in my 20s, and he always makes me feel comfortable, respected, and cared for, especially during the more stressful or scary moments. You can tell he loves what he does and really wants the best for his patients. Also, shoutout to the front desk girl (I'm so sorry I don't know her name!) -- she's always kind, efficient, and welcoming every time I come in. I usually rely on my GP for referrals, but this time I searched online and chose him because he was the only provider offering a relatively early in-person appointment. I arrived on time for what I had specifically requested and confirmed as an in-person visit. However, the receptionist (or office manager) greeted me rudely and unpleasantly, insisting it was scheduled as a Zoom appointment. No one called the day before to confirm, despite standard practice. When I handed over my insurance card, she thrust an iPad at me in a hostile manner to sign again, with no courtesy or explanation. Her tone and attitude were so consistently unpleasant that I wondered why someone so unhappy would remain in a patient-facing medical role,there are plenty of opportunities elsewhere in healthcare. Eventually, I was seen by Dr. Rokaw, who appeared to be a rather large, older physician (in practice for over 40 years). I mentioned I'd done some personal research on Hashimoto's to better understand my condition, and he responded dismissively with something like, 'If you already know the answers, why are you here?' His bedside manner felt condescending, abrupt, and uninterested--he seemed to go out of his way to make me feel foolish rather than addressing my concerns helpfully. Overall, the visit was unproductive and left me feeling dismissed. Given his long tenure, advanced age, and what appeared to be a sedentary build suggesting limited personal focus on physical health, it might be time for Dr. Rokaw to consider retirement. He could benefit from stepping away to prioritize exercise, improve his own well-being, and perhaps work on more respectful patient interactions. I strongly advise others--especially those with chronic autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto's--to run the other way and seek a more engaged, compassionate provider elsewhere.

I cannot get a determining factor or answer to what the cause of my illness is or what it is, nor is she telling me there is further review needed. Yet my symptoms continue and I was told to distance myself from others as one of the symptoms can keep me contagious. They are leaving to the lab results to tell the story. For sure he's an older doctor, but he cares so much for your health that there will be no other doctor who does a better job. He's informative, current, proactive, and is on top of everything. He doesn't miss a beat. He has a ton of medical experience and he uses all of it to support your health matters. Dr. Rubinson is the kind of doctor who would call in the evening if necessary to inform you of your test results. The doctors' office prides itself on being available to its patients. 2) Facility is a one-stop medical shop. Xrays, pharmacy, urgent care, hospital next door. You don't need to travel around to have other procedures done, they basically have it all right here. 3) You don't have to wait forever for an appt. This is a real plus because other doctors office make you wait 4-6 weeks. 4) This group has a team of doctors that work together if you have a difficult problem or issue. 5) Parking lot is big and spacious.
