Run, do not let this crook do work for you.We had a contract to demo the front porch and haul off debris. Frame the front porch install rock aggregate and repour concrete. For $6,000.00 with $3,000.00 down payment. I informed Ed and Melissa Mitchell that I wanted to watch the porch demo. I was told that work would start at 9:30am on Thur. Sep.12,2024. I was on site at 10:00am. The crew did not show up until 12:00pm. When they arrived they ate lunch and started work at 1:00pm. I sat in my truck, which I parked across the street, beginning at 10:00am when I arrived and watched the whole time. Instead of demoing the porch they worked on installing the 4x4 post. By around 2:30pm I became concerned that they were not demoing the porch. I called Melissa and asked what was going on and she told me Ed had decided to go another way. Ed had not come with the crew and I asked to talk to him. Melissa informed me Ed was running late, but was on his way. Edward arrived at 3:00pm. I told him I wanted to know what was going on and he informed me he just wanted to put a 4 inch cap on the porch. I told him that is not what I wanted and that was not our agreement. He then started to try and convince me that he had done it at another location and it worked out ok and that he would give me a lifetime warranty. I told him no, I wanted what we had agreed to. Ed then stated that he could have his crew start over, but he was going to lose all the man hrs. his crew had already did and that he would have to redo the four 4x4 post. He keep on telling me how good the cap was and that he would give me a lifetime warranty. I told him a lifetime warranty would not do me any good if he died or went out of business. Ed had not mentioned anything about reducing the price of $6,000.00. I stated that if he just did a cap he was going to use a lot less materials and labor and that he would have to reduce the price. He stated he could reduce it by $300.00. I stated that he would have to do a lot better than that. He then stated he could reduce it by $500.00. I told him I would have to think about it. I went inside the house and made a phone call to a friend who has some building experience and he stated he did not think the cap would hold up account the porch is hollow underneath. I went outside and told Ed I did not want the cap. Ed started the routine about how he put a cap on another porch and how well it worked and the lifetime warranty. He keeps at it until I finally agree to just the cap, but I told him he would have to reduce the price by $1000.00, which Ed agrees to. By now it is about 3:30pm and I go home. Ed stated that it was too late to pour concrete and they would leave by 5:00pm. The next morning I get up at 8:00am, I did not sleep very well account I felt I was not only talked into just a cap, but that the cap was not going to last account of the porch Ed was going to put the cap on was hallow underneath. Then I realized if Ed put a 4 inch cap on, the step would be 11 inches high. I called Melissa and told her they would have to add another step to comply with code. She said they already reduced the price by $1,000.00 and that if I wanted another step I would have to pay for it. My cousin was having some concrete work done at his house, so I called and talked to the man doing the work. I explained what was going on and did he think it was ok to put a cap on a porch that was hollow underneath. He said no, but it would be better if he looked at it. I told him I would pay him to look at it and that I could pick him up and take him to the site. I picked up Mr. Guzman who is a Master Brick Mason and took him to the site. After looking over the site, he stated that the material that was on Ed's work trailer was a light mix used for stucco. He also stated that if you were going to try and hold together a failing porch with a cap you would need 12 inches not 4. Now I feel like I have been scammed. Ed made a decision to go from what was in the contract to just a cap without so much as a phone call. We went from a complete demo and rebuild to a 4 inch cap of stucco on top of a failing porch that is hollow underneath. I called Ed and told him I no longer trusted him and I had lost all faith in him. I also told him I did not want him to do any further work. Ed's reply was that he had $3,500 invested, but he was good guy and would let the $500.00 slide. Your crew worked 4 hrs. on the Sep.12,2024 and 2-hrs on the Sep.13, 2024. You are a crook and I do not see how you sleep at night. Thank God sent an angel to lead me to Mr. Guzman before I ended up with a 4 inch stucco cap. read more

There work on the foundation was professional. My issue is with the Forman of the crew that dumped around 3-4 inches of dirt and clay mixed with all the concrete that they broke up when did dig the foundation on the concrete areas. I did not ask them to dump all this on new grass. My grass where the dumped the excess was over a 4 week old new grass that is dead now. The Forman said there was no concrete or rock in that dirt and that was not true, it's full of large concrete pieces. I now have to hire someone to dig the dirt up and purchase new sod. If they respond in the proper manner I will update this post positively. read more

We had foundations issues on our 60 year old home back in 2016. Did a lot of shopping around since this was going to be a large expense. MitchCo is a high-quality, professional, HONEST foundation repair company. Their work is both dependable and cost-effective, and they communicate clearly the progress of their repairs. I almost wish I were to own more homes, all with foundation issues, JUST so I could continue to work with this exceptional team! When it comes to any kind of construction or home repair, horror stories abound. I bought my house knowing it had recently had its foundation repaired (by someone other than MitchCo), and I was confident making the purchase because the repairs were under warranty. Within 6 months there had been significant shifting, and I called the company that had done the previous repairs. The man showed up to inspect my property, and recommended adjusting his previous work (free under the warranty) and doing significant additional work. I opted to ONLY have the free warranty work done. Lo' and behold... he never showed up again. He eventually stopped answering my calls. By the time I got around to suing him, he had moved with no forwarding address. Yikes. Enter MitchCo Foundation Repair. I could not have had a more opposite experience! Originally, I called them in for an inspection of my house when I feared the warranty company would not show. They gave me an honest assessment with a fair quote. When I chose to stick with the warranty, they wished me the best. Two years later, I emailed them that I needed to have the new work done and that they were the company I wanted to do it. They responded immediately and even remembered both me and my house. They were able to schedule a re-inspection the very next day, and were flexible in making arrangements to meet my realtor at the house (as I now live out of state). I was in a hurry to get the work done so that I could make additional repairs (fill cracks, paint walls) before putting the house on the market. Understanding my needs, they were able to get the work started the very next week! And, because I was tight on cash, they helped me to arrange a payment plan. Once the work started, they noticed that the previous repairs hadn't noticed or addressed a deficiency in the number and spacing of my foundation piers. In addition to calling to explain the issue, they photographed everything and emailed the pictures for my review. They even gave me a great deal on the installation of additional piers, understanding that these were an unforeseen expense for me. A few days later, they had to call me again about another deficiency they had found. This time around, they explained that they could make the repair using spare parts that they had on hand. Because they understood that I had already had to shoulder the expense of the unexpected new piers, they gave me the parts and made the additional repair FREE OF CHARGE!!! Now really, how much more could you expect from a contractor?! At all times, they were very professional and communicated very clearly with me what work was necessary and what it would cost. They sent me pictures of the work being done each day, since I was not able to be present at the property myself. They cleaned up their work site beautifully; you would never be able to tell that such an invasive repair had been done. Most important, they gave me a QUALITY repair that has stabilized my home and has corrected the issues caused by the poor workmanship of the previous contractor. (My doors finally open and close properly, and my floors don't slant!) Furthermore, I feel much more confident selling my home with its foundation under their warranty, because I know that my buyers will be able to depend on them should any issues arise (though I doubt any will). The owner of the company is a pushy guy that will make you feel HE is the only answer to your problem. They subcontract the work to a completely different company and don't bother sending out one person that speaks English. Not once during the process did anyone from MitchCo come out to supervise or inspect when it was done. If there is an issue you are supposed to get under the home and send them pictures. This place is nothing but a ripoff. Doing crap work for 3 times to average price. They offer payments without interest so I guess that justifies their price but it would be nice if they didn't do such a crap job! Sales tactics are on par with a car salesman. This is the worst company to ever do business with. They did work on my house and when I started to have a problem with settling all they would say was ( I need $100 to look at your house to do a yearly inspection) as I am having a problem with a settling issue and it hasn't been a year yet . I said I would pay when they came out but he canceled the appointment 2 times and never called me to let me know they wouldn't be coming out. This is not a good business to do business with. I contacted the sub he used as he left me his number so if one of his guys can't communicate he would interpret to get the job done. He said there were not enough piers that we need more work done. The guy that wrote the plan set the front room with no support so it fractured the slab and the floors dropped 4.5 inches. After his guy shows up within an hour MitchCo calls and said I sent my guys out now you owe me $100. I said that he didn't send anyone here that I called his guy and I'm not paying him anything. He became very threatening as I did too and the conversation ended with I will see you in court . Only thing I can say is make sure you also read your contract if you read your contract you would see that he is not worth doing business with I wish we would've read it thoroughly in the beginning he only protects himself consider you've been forewarned read more

Mr. Esry came out after another business had been here to give an estimate. He took measurements and then gave me his findings. Unlike the previous company, Mr. Esry was able to tell where we had a leak previously, he was able to tell where we had some issues that we had repaired previous to the estimate. Everything he said was on point and something I could relate back to. No big dramatic revelations or scare tactics. Unlike the previous company, he said we could wait and have the company return to compare findings before we decided if we wanted to proceed with leveling. He made suggestions for how we can divert water from our foundation with a few simple repairs. When I asked if that was something I needed to hire someone to do, he said to save our money and go to home depot and buy a few cheap extenders and do it ourselves. He also recommended plumber to come test our lines just for peace of mind. I never felt pressured, overwhelmed, or misled. I was very scared going into this because I've read all the reviews about people getting ripped off. I was super impressed with the level of professionalism and care. I plan on having MitchCo come back out in a few months to re-measure. If we ever do end up needing foundation work, it will be nice to work with a company that has put in the time to evaluate our needs, make suggestions, work with us and build a relationship of trust. ESPECIALLY when it comes to something as serious as foundation repair. I am extremely grateful to Mr. Esry and MitchCo and will recommend to family and friends. Mitchco's owner came out to estimate my foundation repair. Gave me and estimate, pressured me to buy immediately. After job was started, he added on my 35'x19' room addition saying oops this needs it too. So I was trapped and he did that as well. In Less than 3 years my foundation is moving causing visible cracking. When he returned, said "oh now I need to level the center of the home to remedy." Even though the same cracks appeared. So nothing was done. He removed so much dirt and did not return it around my home. He said he would bring back more dirt. Which was not done. The WORST THING was he never gave me my 20 year warranty. I called a dozen times and got the run around. I have another friend who used this company and is as unhappy and disappointed as I am. read more

Had a very good experience with MitchCo. Had several Contractors come and give us quotes to complete some minor, non structural foundation issued. Their customer service is off the hook good. Regan came to the house and inspected our house inside and out and explained things to us that 3 other Contractor tried to talk us into significantly more work than what was needed. Regan's quote came back very reasonable. Signed the contract and the repair guys showed up today (on time) and completed the repairs in a few hours. Very courteous and extremely professional. The workmanship is outstanding. I learned from this experience how many contractors use scare tactics to talk you into work that us not needed. MitchCo isn't one of those companies. I will certainly use them in the future for their honesty, responsiveness and professional workmanship. I would give them 10 stars if available. read more
