Food, Alcohol and Arcade Games, is there no better combination than that. This was one of those, I'll get to eventually places and I got to it. Misuta Chows is known as the best place is Buffalo for Japanese Bar Food, an establishment that captures the meaning of the term "Late Night Bite". This place screams Hang Out, where you can come later in the Evening to get your Grub on. After watching the Buffalo Bandits be triumphant once again, we needed to find somewhere to get some Food. I called about 4 different Restaurants. It was a little after 10:30 at night, I then called Misuta Chows and they told me that the Kitchen was still open for another 25 Minutes. We rushed on over to the Main Street area parked and walked into this Casual Setting. Once we sat at the Bar, we put in our Drink Orders, I got a Cocktail named after one of the most Iconic Cartoon Characters of all time - Spongebob Squarepants. What I thought was gonna be a square shaped glass filled with Orange Juice and Lemon Liqueur or Vodka. It turned out to be a Mason Jar filled with a vibrant pink concoction of Milagro Tequila, Prosecco and Grenadine. Along with both Lemon and Pineapple Juice, the title was a bit misleading. Even after finishing the drink, it wasn't enough for me to do Spongebob's high-pitched Laugh. Emily got the Burning Pumpkin that had Pumpkin Whiskey, Rum Chata and Chai Tea Latte. Mike had the Tailgate Toddy, what looked like Hot Tea was packed with Alpine Spice Whiskey, Alpine Preserve Liqueur, Honey Liqueur and Plum Bitters served in a tall White Mug. After sipping our drinks for a short Bit, we put in our food orders before the Kitchen closed. Also while I was there, I saw that one of my chef buddies, Andrew Berger was in the back cranking out the Food. For our Entrees Emily got the Pork Belly Rice Bowl with Pickled Vegetables and a Soft-Boiled Egg. Mike got the Coconut Chicken Laksa with a Skewer standing up in the Middle of the Bowl. I got a bowl of Lobster & Shrimp Ramen and some Pork Belly Bahn Mi Bao Buns. The Broth was jam packed with so much intense Shellfish flavor, the Egg gave it some Richness and Sweetness from the Corn. The Seafood was cooked perfectly, I slurped down those Noodles with Gusto. On the Buns that were lightly Toasted, the Pork was Crispy jammed inside the Buns with Cilantro and Jalapeno's, it was reminiscent of the Vietnamese Classic Sandwich. I had another Cocktail to go with it, it was a "Monster" of a Drink called Godzilla. Named after the iconic Monster himself. Vibrant green drink made from Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Green Tea Simple Syrup, Fresh Lemon and Peach. Its a true shame that this drink didn't give me Atomic Breath that Godzilla does to defeat his Enemies but a few more of those and I would've had an Atomic Hangover. On the 2nd Floor, I loved all the Pinball machines, the Skeeball, the Dance Floor and the Pink Hello Kitty Stairway hidden in the Back. Its a shame that Misuta Chows has closed its Doors, I don't think there will be place like that in Buffalo ever again. I say to Misuta Chows, SAYONARA. !!! read more

No one can make me hate this place! Misuta is such a cute and intimate space for dates, friend meet ups everythinggggg. Idk where to start. First off I LOVE Asian cuisine. The food here is so fresh and tasty. One late night friend meetup I had here proved this to be true. The food came out hot and fresh. We ordered and shared plates so I got to try many new things I wouldn't have ordered. The drinks here are also good! Now to speak on the atmosphere. It's so NARLYYYY haha. Videos games are so nostalgic and they have all the best ones. This is such a gem to the Buffalo area bc it's close enough for a quick late night dip and has a cool atmosphere that is sure to be a highlight of the night. Misuta Chow's is a unique, super cool and fun Japanese street food and cocktail bar downtown. The food and cocktails are delicious and there is an arcade upstairs as well as a glittery pink staircase which is famous for photos. Since this space does so many things there is somewhat limited seating for dining. If you want to try the food I'd recommend getting a reservation or you can also try your luck for bar seating, which is first come first served. We were in the area and had not planned dinner so we decided to pop in and got lucky with some bar seats. We ordered Sesame noodles, Shio ramen and Yakitori skewers donburi bowl. The sesame noodles was a cold noodle dish, highly recommended by a friend. The flavor was light and delicious with a healthy helping of sesame oil. The ramen was wonderful. They prob have my favorite ramen in the area. Light and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked pork belly, noodles with the perfect amount of chew and some crunchy baby corn, bok choy and scallion for freshness. Finally the yakitori skewer bowl which combined chicken thighs in a bowl of rice, and pickled veggies. The chicken had a wonderful glaze, was juicy and perfectly cooked. And the pickled veggies were a perfect way to balance out the meal. Service was great but I will point out that this place gets packed. We did not feel ignored by the staff but sometimes it took a little while to get their attention which is completely understandable. We enjoyed people watching while we waited for our check. We have been here before and have enjoyed everything else we sampled on their unique menu. They also offer some neat cocktails which are pretty reasonably priced. I normally come here for their drinks but had the opportunity to dine in this past weekend! The ambiance is super cute. They were nicely decorated for St. Patrick's Day. The famous pink staircase is located in the back of the restaurant and connects the first and second floor. Upstairs, there is another bar as well as old-school arcade games. They had karaoke going on that night. I ordered a Hello Kitty drink and it was delicious and refreshing. My friends and I started off with the ramen wings and gyoza. I didn't try the wings but my friend said they were really good. The gyoza were too soggy for my liking. I was assuming they were going to be pan-fried leaving a crispy outer but that wasn't the case. I've been wanting to get Misuta's for years, and I'm so glad I finally got the chance. We didn't have reservations, but luckily they found us a little table upstairs. So, I've been here before and left a 4 star review. However, I was here last Thursday and had such a fun night that I must amend my rating. I came here with my husband to play Family Feud. I'd only ever eaten downstairs, so I didn't understand the full scope of how entertaining this place is. I'd made reservations for us, so we were seated at the bar right in front of Brandy, my new favorite bartender. She was so fun and funny that I felt bad leaving her hours later. We ordered a round of drinks that were really good. I had a delicious hard cider, but I'm a little fuzzy on what my husband had, if only because the shots flowed effortlessly that night. All I remember is that he ordered a Godzilla at one point, which was delicious. The bar manager talked to us for a bit about the Spring menu, which also sounds amazing. Playing Family Feud was incredible, if only because we were winning for a little while. We came in 3rd. It was even more fun than I imagine the actual game show is. Isn't my first time. I really enjoy this place it's unique because it has two levels. An adult arcade upstairs with full bar and the restaurant lounge downstairs. I usually get the ramen which is good but I switched it up. The Ribs were "ok". I tend to think the rice bowls have so much rice but you can have leftovers for tomorrow so I guess that's cool. We had to come back since the first experience at Misuta Chow's was so great. 2nd time could have been even better. We got the same exact order as last time, the shishito peppers and the short rib ramen with the special broth. We sat downstairs this time, under decor that feels like you're in a Tokyo side street. Our server was awesome. The best part was that we happened to sit next to another couple visiting from Kazakhstan. We got to talking and before we knew it they were buying bottles and bottles of Snow Angel sake (soooo good. We aren't sake drinkers but this had NO alcohol bite. Wowowowowowow! I'm always looking for great Ramen in WNY and this is one of the best. The broth they use is so flavorful, tons of noodles and vegetables, huge shrimp, and a perfectly cooked sauna egg with lots of nutty flavor. My favorite ramen used to be SATO but I'd say this is the new winner. I also had the mochi pastry dessert which was nothing that I was expecting but it was both fun to eat and delicious! Downstairs is the restaurant and upstairs is the bar and arcade area. I thought the arcade area was very unique. They have lots of different video games, pin ball machines and ski ball to play. I liked seeing the lanterns hung from the ceiling and the pink stairs. The Pikachu Fizz and Hello Kitty drinks were fantastic. It's just a very cool atmosphere and every person that I met working there that night was amazing. They were kind, friendly and just made the experience that much more enjoyable. Downstairs is restaurant & bar area and atmosphere feels like you were in Japan's alleyway. Second floor is where the arcade is located, another bar and decent seating area with neon decors. They had wide variety of drinks to non alcoholic drinks. We ordered shio ramen and it seems that the ramen was made incorrectly. But the toki highball was the best! Staffs are friendly and kind, especially our server Kristina or Kristine(?) (sorry I forgot the name), who keeps checking on us if we need anything, thank you!! After eating, we headed upstairs and stayed for the arcade and more drinks. ATM is available if you forgot to bring coins and wanted to play. My experience at Misuta Chow's was literally PERFECT! It was my first time and I was excited to hear about all the deliciousness on the menu. Wellllll I'm a vegan and called to check that they had vegan options prior to coming. When I got there I ordered a drink ( hello kitty & blue typhoon) and fried rice! Well when the rice came out we discovered that the rice had eggs in it in spite of its vegan identifier. The rice comes pre made with eggs already inside of it. They were super spectacular about helping me handle it. Keifer was great he helped me find an alternative was very apologetic provided me with other options while I waited.
