A great way to spend a Saturday is to pay a visit to James Charles winery!…read more They're wine is very good, no weird aftertastes. You can tell quality is important to them. We first tried the Cuvée de la reine ($26). This is described as a mix of the Riesling and another wine with a hint of melon. We wanted a more sweeter wine to drink out in the sun and this one was perfect! Not too sweet at all, usually with a wine like this you get sick of it quick because it is too sugary but this was the perfect amount! We also tried their 1913 ($30). This was another great wine but this one was red. It has a hint of berry to it so a sweeter version but like the cuvée it also is the perfect amount of sweetness which made it another great one to drink outside! Something I also noticed is on the bottles they have suggestions on food to pair it with. A nice touch! We also loved the atmosphere here! They had live music, with a guy play guitar. There was a food truck but also the winery has a kitchen with food also. The building is so cute there is plenty of space instead but also a separate event space too. There is lots of outdoor seating and it's pet friendly! If you come and you really love their wines you can become part of their adopt a vine club which has lots of perks. You get exclusive wines and discounts on wines too!

We got the rose, which was perfectly decent and reasonably priced at $27. Service was friendly.

My friends and I loved the cider flight, and after the tasting we headed over to the distillery. Everything was fantastic, but the highlight was definitely our bartender, Kelly. This was my second time and Nikki's first, and we pulled up READY for great wine, good vibes, and a cute little winery moment . From the second we walked in, the staff greeted us like we were long-lost cousins coming home for the holidays . We did a guided tasting at the bar -- six wines for around $15 (a STEAL, okay!?), and the fun began. Nikki's fave: Bourbon Barrel Chambourcin -- the star of her whole life that day 2019 Chambourcin Oaked Aged 36 months in new American oak... listen... this wine came in sweet on the nose, fruity on the tongue, and creamy on the finish. Light, playful, and honestly kinda flirty. Perfect with stuffing or honestly anything because she was drinking it like it was juice . My fave: 2018 Petit Manseng -- MY GIRL!! Light, dry, citrusy, pear-y, pineapple-y and giving "I'm that wine" energy. Complex but still smooth... basically the Beyoncé of the tasting. We even got to try some wines that weren't on the list, and let me tell you -- 90% of their wines were hitting. Like, not one flop in sight . But the BEST part? The vibe. The service. The "you're family here" energy. It literally felt like sipping wine at your cousin's cute countryside home you never knew they had . 10/10 recommend! Go, sip, laugh, vibe, repeat!

Well, here we are back a year later after their grand opening. We missed their one year anniversary…read morecelebration because we always arrive in Deep Creek the day after Labor Day. This time I took my husband, and he also enjoyed seeing the Winery, which is more complete and established since my visit upon opening last September. I highly recommend coming here. It's a beautiful space indoors and out. Unfortunately, the rain went loose upon our arrival and we were unable to enjoy the outside area. They do have a new outdoor bar, which looks great. They did have live music on the stage outside. And the tables that were undercover or all filled. Of course there was plenty of room inside and in the winter they have a beautiful fireplace. I had a glass of sparkling white, and my husband had a red flight. We were only there about an hour, but I'm sure I will be back again next year if you like wine it's definitely worth a stop. Oh & they are dog friendly too & have water, bowls, and dog biscuits for your pups.

Pizza (brought in but still my fav) and menu snacks are tasty. Adirondack chairs are comfy and really make enjoying the property in the sun a highlight. I'd highly recommend coming by to enjoy the live music. Bring your deerfly repellent because those little suckers are a pain in the a$$.

I had never been to this location and to my surprise this place is located inside of an establishment that has multiple specialty shops. The decor alone expressed love and care along with meeting one of the owners. She came across as warm, inviting and willing to share parts of journey in the wine space. We had great conversations with the staff about wine pairing, where the grapes are harvested so much more. The staff were so knowledgeable. Now, most of wines are dry as I am a sweet kinda girly. I was able to find a wine that fits my tastebuds. We ordered a charcuterie and flatbed pepperoni pizza. It was a great way to celebrate our Anniversary for lunch date before putting up the kids. Will most definitely return.

They close pretty early for a wine bar. My friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and had an absolutely lovely time. I love that they offer flights ($35 for 3). I tried most of the wines and really enjoyed them all, but serenity was my favorite. I loved how they incorporated goods and art from local business owners and artists. They had a small food menu with dessert flights, snacks, and charcuterie. We really enjoyed the playlist and the variety of places to sit. It was pretty empty while we were there.
