The lasagna was very very good. Highly recommend if your craving some good authentic Italian lasagna! The place is a small place and easy to miss but definitely worth it!

Best lasagña I ever had taste so delicious, fresh, and I really loved the different types of lasagña.. the atmosphere is relaxing and nice as well.. Don't miss it

Lovely restaurant nested on Rupert Street. I was walking out of my favourite hairdresser (see my review of Gusto) and I was compelled to get in by the appetizing window displaying a wide variety of lasagna. A quick look inside and my stomach urges me to get in. There was a bit of queueing as you would expect at lunch time but it's quite quick. The manager and staff are italian (if my rudiments of italian aren't distorted). The decor is lovely. A bit of light brick, soft light wood panels and white walls. Plants pots e-ve-ry-where and even a fake vegetal wall. They grow their own sherry tomatoes, chili and basil (!!!!!). Now back to the main focus here: lasagnaaaa. Oh my, choice. I hate choice because I want everything but they're clever at Mister Lasagna you see. They *know* you want everything. So fir £7.80 you can try not one, not two, but three lasagna at once ! I went for the regular bolognese, the mushroom and the spinach. All were good but I was a disappointed in the spinach one: a bit dry, not enough seasoning (and none to see on the tables). It lacked taste. The other two had everything for themselves however. In the cold display thingy, you can find italian beers, san pelegrino and an other kind of italian water as well as desserts and soft drinks. On display on the counters various other desserts such as a gigantic chocolate cake, baba au rhum and cannolis. There's also calzones ! I had a small glass of red italian wine to go with my meal ans it was splendid. I don't recall the name unfortunately. It seems it's very un-british to drink wine at lunch ? I was served with some stares from other customers religiously drinking soft drinks. Well, you won't get the french out of that girl anytime soon ! Wine at all times is ok as long it's after noon. It appears no Yelper has set foot here before. I hope to drag you all this way for one of the best lasagna a novice can have (i wouldn't dare to compare it to anything you'd eat in Italy as i have never been).

    3 different types of lasagne.

I had a half piece of the mushroom and another half of the classic lasagne. Both were delicous!

The bartender was absolutely charming and amazing, and he made a truly outstanding Ramos Gin Fizz (a cocktail from New Orleans that few people know how to make, and even fewer want to make). Not sure how that cocktail came up, but he seriously deserves a round of applause for making not one, but two. He truly revived my soul! I split the gazpacho and short rib pasta with my husband. The short rib pasta was magically both light and hearty; it was exactly what we needed after 18 hours of travel. We frequently travel, and I am highly skeptical of Italian food when outside of Italy. Bocconcino was an authentic experience that rivals many of our meals in Rome. Maybe it was jet lag, but I did almost lock myself into the water closet and luckily after a few minutes manage to unlock the stall door without calling for assurance. I suggest visiting with a friend for gossip and security! As far as ambiance, there was great people watching with the Saturday evening patrons; it was an experience in learning about London 'going out' fashion, and watching the very attractive staff interact with customers was a prime education in upper class customer service/flirting. My parting comment is that the bartender stole my heart and I hope to have another of his delicious beverages on a future trip!
