Breakfast or lunch is great. Service is efficient to serve you. Its a typical Cafe setting, couldn't ask for more. Prices are reasonable.

This is an old Magnolia favorite, and we know it's not perfect. For years, we went bc we loved visiting with Mister James, and we wanted breakfast. I went today and enjoyed a huge plate of French toast and sausage. It was perfect for the money I paid. No, it won't win culinary awards, but it's just basic good food, and I didn't have to cook it. this place reminded me of a local huddle house. the service was good, but the food was subpar. the pancakes were not done. the biscuits and gravy would have been good, if the gravy wasn't cold. the bacon and sausage was alright. the hashbrowns were the best thing we had! even the coffee was not the best. read more

Alright, so we're in town for a wedding during SAU's Fall Break. We were initially headed to the coffeehouse in town, but they were closed during break, so we ended up here. And boy are we glad we did. Their sign is straight to the point (Mister James, Delicious Food), and jt lives up to jt. The biscuits, oh my gosh, don't get me started on the biscuits. Soft, big, buttery, flaky...incredible. I'd come back to Magnolia, Arkansas, just for these biscuits. The service: we were taken care of by at least three people because...teamwork. French toast was soggy and the syrup had a long black hair Stuck to the top of the syrup bottle. Bathroom was dirty. Ladies room: One toilet was out of order and the other did not flush. Every time I come home, I make sure I stop here to get some good breakfast! Pancakes are amazing. Highly recommend. They are big, thick, and will definitely get you full. Biscuits are also great. I ended up at Mister James based on a recommendation since my Uncle and I were looking for a place to get some tasty breakfast. We walked in and were told we could seat ourselves. We sat at a booth and had to wait a bit for a waiter to come over. I ordered the eggs, sausage, and hash browns. My uncle ordered the waffle which looked really good also. Passing through Magnolia on my motorcycle, feeling hungry and checked Yelp for some local reviews of restaurants, ... this one had a couple good reviews so I took my chance, and I'm glad I did. Service was immediate, the food has a home cooking flavor, which I like. Mister James was there and greeted me with a smile, we chatted for a minute before my food arrived. This is definitely my favorite diner in town. The owner is very friendly and very social with his customers. Their restaurant could use a thorough cleaning, but the food taste delicious every time. The biscuits are best fresh in the morning time. They prepare your food in front of you like waffle house. One time when we were in there, the owner Mr. James came by and gave my wife and I free hoodies with his face on them. I recently tried this restaurant this morning, and let me tell you, it's so good! I had waffles, bacon, and eggs. The bacon is really good and the owner is really sweet. A very small disadvantage is this place gets REALLY CROWDED on Saturdays and Sunday's at around 11:30, and customer service gets a little bad, but come during the week and you'll love the peace and serenity:) read more
