Great place! I got the tuna melt and it was fresh. Beware places that only use tuna/mayo spackle…read more But this is not that kind of place! I can tell by the red onion it had chopped and mixed into the tuna. That doesn't store long so I can tell the tuna has a fast turnover rate. Their sesame noodles are fantastic too! A must try. The other person got the wasabi roast beef sandwich which they loved as well. Both sandwiches had the right balance of bread/fillings. Stoked I found a new sandwich spot. Service was friendly and prompt.

I stopped by here this past Monday for lunch as part of a party of eight. We were in Balboa Park,…read moreand I was looking for a fast-casual type of place when BFG came up, so we headed on over. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, with giant menus on the wall inside as well as a cooler case. You place your order, and then they bring it out to you. We decided to sit inside, so while I think the outside tables may have had fire pits, I can't actually confirm that. My daughter and I ended up getting there first, and she was hungry, so I ordered the Basic for her while I went with the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Mine was described as roast chicken, Point Reyes blue cheese, Fresno chili hot sauce, red onion, carrot, cabbage, lettuce, garlic aioli, and ciabatta, while my daughter's was described as a fluffy three-egg patty topped with cheddar cheese on ciabatta. Service was pretty quick, and I think we had our food within about ten minutes of ordering. My daughter enjoyed the egg sandwich and almost completely finished it by herself, which is saying something. The cheese was melted nicely and had a good pull to it. Then my chicken sandwich ended up being pretty good as well. The chicken was tender, and the hot sauce was flavorful, albeit not as spicy as I was expecting from a Fresno chili hot sauce. I also enjoyed the slaw and aioli and thought the ciabatta was solid as well. My wife also enjoyed her sesame chicken salad here, especially the chicken, while my son ate some of his kids' grilled cheese. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Our food here was good, and I appreciated not only the fast-casual nature of the restaurant but the price as well.

Love The Marketplace…read more Pick a sandwich. Any one. They're all good. If you're a Reuben lover, you have to try one. Beyond delish! A variety of soups available, on a rotating schedule. They do sell out of some, though, so if you want some of the soup, you need to get here before dinner. Lunch availability for soups is generally best mid-morning to mid-day. Try the clam chowder. Yum with a capital Y-U-M. Chicken noodle is also excellent. Great beer selection in their refrigerated case. Look carefully, as you may miss something you really would like to try. Many local craft breweries available, but if you want the national brands, they have those too. Excellent service from the kitchen staff and the checkout staff. Be aware, though, this place does get really crowded at lunchtime, so you'll most likely have to wait in line to check out. Order your sandwich, go to pay and your sandwich will be ready before you know it. Chow down!

OMG... we just found THE pizza. We got the veggie pizza…read morewith added pepperoni from the Marketplace in Bakers Hill, and I swear, we were like two idiots sitting there raving about it. It was THAT good. The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were the perfect amount, and they were spread out so every bite had the right combination. And the flavor?! Oh my God. But here's what really got me: there was absolutely NO greasy, gooey mess. Nothing soggy, nothing weighed down with cheese or oil. That's what kept the crust so perfectly crisp all the way through. It was just really, really well-made pizza. And an 18-inch pizza was only $27, with HUGE slices. Seriously, what a deal. Ordering online was super easy, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. We picked it up and basically couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Hands down, the best pizza we've had in this area. This one is going into the rotation. And at $27 for an 18-inch? I'm already thinking about when we're getting the next one.

It's nice to find that kind of community, especially when you want to watch a race with people who are just as into it as you are. We came for the final race of the season a while back, and they opened early for it, which was so awesome! It really has that British pub vibe, and I love it. We tried their breakfast that day and really enjoyed it. Recently, we decided to come back for their Sunday roast because TikTok convinced me I needed to try one, and I'm so glad we did because it was phenomenal! The price is great for the amount of food you get, too. The roast was tender and juicy, and I'd never tried a Yorkshire pudding before. I loved the crispy yet chewy texture! The veggies were fresh, and the potatoes came mashed and crispy, both seasoned perfectly. The savory gravy tied everything together. We also got the fish and chips, which came in a good-sized portion with fresh fries. The onion rings were battered rather than breaded, which is my favorite, and these were thick, crispy, and came with a really good ranch dressing. Even the Caesar salad was surprisingly fresh for a pub! The service has also been great every time we've visited, even when the place is packed. Shakespeare's is such a good spot for food and drinks, but honestly, it's also one of my favorite places to catch an F1 race. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the community, it's definitely a spot I'd recommend checking out!

I ordered the BBQ beef brisket sandwich and can't wait to go back to try the whole menu. The sandwich was made to perfection. The bread was amazing, and I finished it before I knew it! It had cheese, onion, tomato, mayo, and BBQ sauce - this was so good. I'm usually not big on tomato or heavy BBQ sauce, but if it's worth it, I'll eat both... and this was absolutely worth it. The BBQ sauce has officially grown on me. The wait wasn't long at all. I didn't go inside to pick up my order, so I can't speak for customer service yet, but I can 100% vouch for the food. Got lucky with parking right out front. Can't wait to come back!

This was my first visit to this business…read more Around 11:30 AM on April 22, 2026, I stopped in while out on a break from work, hoping to support a local business and grab a quick lunch. I planned to order a their soup and half-sandwich combo. After waiting my turn, I asked what the soup of the day was. Instead of a direct response, the employee behind the counter (wearing a black shirt) pointed vaguely toward the counter and said, "It's right there." There were multiple signs and items, and it wasn't clear what he was referring to. I asked again for clarification, and he repeated himself--this time with clear irritation. I said "I don't see it". With some distain he replied "chicken noodle soup". At that point, it was obvious the interaction wasn't going anywhere productive or that this individual did not value his customers. I made a comment about the attitude and left. Here's the reality: in today's economic environment, every customer matters. I came in with the intention of spending money and potentially becoming a repeat customer. Instead, I was met with dismissive and unfriendly service for no reason. What are we doing? I wasn't rude or confrontational - I simply asked a basic question. The employee could have have simply stated what the soup of the day was. Instead, his attitude was unnecessarily hostile and reflects poorly on the business. Interactions like that don't just lose a single sale, they cost long-term customers and referrals. If ownership is paying attention, fire this guy!Staff represent your brand, and this experience fell well below any reasonable standard of hospitality. Unfortunately, I will never be returning, and I will not recommend this place based on this experience. In fact, I will provide this account of my experience with Royal Food Mart to many!

I've been to Mona Lisa so many times I've lost count, and I absolutely love it here!…read more Food: The Deluxe sub has my heart. I add mustard and pepperoncinis, and seriously, it's the best sandwich ever! Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful, with the perfect combination of meats, cheese, toppings, and dressing in every bite. It comes with oil and vinaigrette, which really bring all those flavors together. The bread has the perfect crunch without being too hard and holds up beautifully without getting soggy. It's also HUGE and easy to split! If it's just you, save the other half in an airtight container or bag in the fridge. In my experience, it's just as good the next day, and the bread doesn't get soggy. I've had this sandwich countless times, and it consistently hits the spot. I've also tried the spicy soppressata sandwich and really enjoyed it, but I always find myself going back to the Deluxe. We grab pasta salad when we pick up our sandwiches, too. It's a favorite of mine and rounds out the meal perfectly! Service: Service at the deli is always quick, and the cashiers are friendly and efficient. It's easy to stop in, grab our food, and be on our way. Ambience: It's a true Italian deli with a market and a full restaurant attached. I still need to try the restaurant!
