Saturday in Belgium

If you're looking for a bar that's equal parts cozy neighborhood hangout and sitcom legend, the Regal Beagle delivers. Rotating craft beers on tap keep things fresh, there's always something new to try. Wings are the undisputed star here! Always crispy, saucy, and the best in town. Thursdays are basically a holiday, $1 wings mean you can feast without denting your wallet. If you aren't in the mood for wings... hit up the chopped cheese with a side of tots. You can thank me later with a pint of Pliney. Feeling cheap? They also do half pints. Trivia night is a local institution, This is the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit.... warm lighting, local sports on the screens and a crowd that's always more chill than the dive bar down the street.

They give out fun names for your order

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Finally a place in San Diego with quality chicken wings and sauces at a good price. $1 wing Thursdays! The wings are big and cooked to perfection. The sauces a drippy, sticky, spicy, and dry if you like a dry rub. The XXX is a proper reaper sauce that packs a punch with flavor to boot. The XX bbq was also fantastic. My wife got the WG wrap and that was also incredibly delicious. I cannot wait to go back. The service is super friendly. It's an order at the counter so a line can form but it moves relatively fast. They have a good selection of beers and canned cocktails/seltzers. The house made ranch and blue cheese were creamy and had great flavor. The house made chips were crispy and delicious. They have a wide variety of mustards and hot sauces for use at the sauce counter. I mean what more could you ask for? This place is everything I dreamed of. I love chicken wings, hot sauce, extra spicy wings, and fresh chips, and blue cheese. I'm so happy I stumbled on this place. It's got a great divey and lively atmosphere. It's loud and chaotic at times but that's to be expected. I loved it. The dry runs were flavorful and I'm not a dry rub guy. I'm a saucy guy. The hotter the better. I asked if I could mix bbq with XXX and she told me absolutely. I will do that next time. This time I wanted XXX on its own to get a feel for the flavor and spice. The regal beagle is the real deal and I love it! I forgot to mention my buddy started crying after he ate one of my XXX wings. They are not for the faint of heart. You have been warned.

Omg the wrap was incredibleeeee. Fries were perfectly crispy and the wings were sooo juicy! Loved my cider as well and my girl loved the beer selection as well. Service was quick, and the ambiance was perfect- very whole in the wall vibe. Would def come again.

Obsessed with this place. Food is always incredible, service is super good and the whole vibe is overall laid back and dive bar vibey. I always try something new when coming back and the wings and chicken wrap are my fav. Philly cheesesteak is also very good. Husband loves their burgers and grilled chicken sandwich.

Chicken sandwich

Best chicken sandwich in town. Grilled or fried, you can't go wrong. I prefer grilled, but I won't say no to fried! I love their homemade chips. Their mustard selection is top tier. Omg. I loveeeee mustard. Love that your order ticket is based on pop culture. Service is fast. I like that there's plenty of bar seating, but they also have lots of table areas to eat as well.

Best tots in San Diego? I decided to stop by on a Sunday afternoon because my wife wanted some tots and rumor on the street is they have the best ones. Walked in to a cozy, welcoming spot where the Green Bay Packers game was on every TV and the fans were packed in with their Jerseys on. We nuzzled our way to the bar where we were greeted immediately with a smile and a couple of coasters. If you're going on a game day, expect the same BUT don't let that deter you- There's tons of outdoor seating, so we sat outside to beat the crowded scene. We opted for the Philly Cheesesteak and their tots with a Coke. The food was made fresh and the cook was nice enough to bring our food out to us but, usually they call your number inside and you grab it from the pick up window. On to the food, as a native east coaster my Philly Cheesesteak Standards are pretty high but, they are truly hard to come by out here so I was excited to try it. It doesn't have that northeast flavor I grew up with but it could definitely hit the craving mark if you have one. I would order it again! Now, I know you've been dying to hear about these tots. Every bite was crunchy, it was crispy, it was salty, everything you could possibly want in a fried potato. Personally, I wouldn't say it was the best in SD but I can definitely see the appeal. Their crunch to potato ratio is 80/20 so SUPER crunchy. Definitely worth stopping by to check it out! Would we come here again? Definitely, to try something else on their menu and try something from their large draft menu.

We were on vacation, were into 70's nostalgia stuff. So naturally when thinking about lunch , I searched "Regal Beagle" bam! Had to go! Did not disappoint. Bar tender/owner (I think) was a damn delight. I explained what kind of beer I like. He nailed it! If you're ever in the area 5 stars would recommend. If I lived there it would be my go to bar.

Tap list!!!! So dope!!!

Oh My Beagle!!! This place is delicious!!! Decided to give it a try and I'm grateful we did. It's definitely an old looking bar, seat yourself and order at the bar. Nice tap list, the food is so bomb!! We had the beagle burger which is huge, the beagle junior is just as delicious just smaller, burger wrap and chicken tenders with fries were perfect and the onion rings....chefs kiss!! Staff is really nice and there's enough parking! This place would make Jack, Janet and Chrissy proud!!!

I think I found my new place for wings and their special is awesome! The theme of this pub is based on 3s companies, and I think it's a cool little spot for wings and beers. On Thursdays they have $1 wings and it's worth the price. Wings came out pipping hot and fresh and crunchy did not need to request well done like I have to do for some other places. Service is straight forward order at the front, pick up food at the window so it's easy and streamlined. It wasn't too busy when I went and there's plenty of seating. I'll for sure be back!

Come for Thursday for the $1 wings. That's right folks, just $1! The wings are pretty flavorful and came out quickly. I really enjoyed the wet rub wings, especially the Thai chili flavor. My least favorite was the lemon pepper, which was a bit sour for me. Are they the best wings I've ever had? Probably not. Did they hit the spot? Absolutely. Would I return for the great wing deal? Definitely! Great selection of beers to pair the wings with as well. Reasonable prices for all the beers. Great service.

Great local bar with awesome food and an amazing rotating selection of beers. And if you're a Green Bay Packers fan, it's the place to be at game time!

Beers on patio

Decided to have a quick bite and drink on a Saturday afternoon. We found this place via Yelp so we decided to give it a try. You order food at the bar and pickup from a window next to the kitchen. Lots of beers on tap and solid pub food. The sausages we got definitely hit the spot. I opted for the sausage of the month, which was a jalapeno kielbasa. The tater tots were also good. The outdoor patio is a bit separate from the restaurant/bar and the furniture definitely needs some freshening up and a new coat of paint. Food was quick and they announce it over the speaker who's order is ready. No one will serve or checkup on you if you're at the patio, so just expect that.

The best gastropub with local and import beer.

Been coming here a long time. A great place to come by yourself or meet friends. Great for groups. Their food menu has grown from sausages to include a killer wedge salad. Mostly there is one bartender to serve everyone. I've gone to 2:3 bars owned by the owner. This Regal Beagle is a favorite minus the bartender having a full blow conversation with a customer while 6 people stood in line waiting to be served, however she did keep the bar opened after midnight. She won't be home until 1 am since a bunch of beer guzzling folks were there.

Triple X Carolina Reaper. Went to my happy place eating these.

No... we are a restaurant/ale house so kids are allowed. Cheers, Matt

Yep, they sure do! Darts are kept behind the bar, so just ask one of the bartenders for them.

Is this a Niners bar?!! Please say yes!

Technically no... it’s a Packers bar, but we have a lot of ties to the Bay Area, so you’ll feel right at home here in a Niners Jersey.…

Absolutely! We have our kids in there on a frequent basis. Cheers,…

It was during the day so the bar wasn't too busy, we were all able to sit at the bar side by side. The bartenders were very friendly and super helpful and recommend a few items to try, we definitely wanted to try the San Diego fries which they said was a huge hit. We also had a round of drinks and a few orders of hot wings. The San Diego fries were in fact delicious. Sweet, salty spicy all the flavors combined, with crispy golden fries. The wings were equally as great, very tender, and each wing was evenly coated and sauce states. If you're looking for a midday or evening outing with Friends and just wanna relax, have some drinks and have a good time I definitely recommend coming here. Plenty of seating, very friendly staff and a clean restaurant with good vibes.

I've passed by this place so many times at night but had never actually stopped in to eat, and I was pleasantly surprised! It was definitely a vibe for a Sunday afternoon. They had a DJ playing, the atmosphere was lively and fun, and everyone was very friendly. Service was also excellent. We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered a salad, flatbread, mac & cheese, and the loaded pulled pork fries. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed the food. Overall, between the fun vibes, great service, ambiance, and delicious food, we had a really great time. I would definitely come back.

I loved the stained glass lights at the booths we sat at, they were super cute! We played foosball for a dollar which was fun while it lasted but it didn't give us enough balls to play an entire game. It's been pretty hot in sd and this place has a lot of large open windows that were all open, I usually love that feature but it was an abnormally humid night so we were all pretty hot and sweaty inside. Food was good with affordable prices too, we came here quite late at night, so we were limited to only their late-night menu, but everything was quite tasty, typical bar food. Our standout favorite was the maple sriracha wings for $10.61, their flavor is exactly like described and was a good balance of sweet and spicy! The Butter Burger $10.57 was good too but I think too rich and heavy for me. The prices were great tho! Parking is pretty terrible as is typical for downtown, but we walked from Punch Bowl Social and had Ubered to there at the beginning of the night. ---- Overall: a cool place to hangout, drink, and grab a bite late at night, I'm sad about not being able to play a whole game of foosball, but a generally great time

The tots were crispy and only slightly oily. There was a decent amount of chicken and other ingredients involved and the portion size wasn't too bad.
