Hotel from Hell I…read moregenuinely don't know how this hotel managed to disappoint me at every stage of my stay. The employees were rude and unwelcoming from the beginning, but I brushed it off because everyone has bad days. Then I got to the 5th floor. The elevator doors opened and I swear I had accidentally selected "Hell" instead of the 5th floor. The entire hallway smelled HORRIBLE fishy, musty, and some other smell I can't even identify. And it wasn't just one spot. The whole floor smelled like this. Looking back, that was obviously my sign to ask for another room. Naturally, I ignored it. I get into my room and immediately notice the towels. They weren't literally black, but they were so dark, stiff, and worn-looking that they looked like they'd been through several generations of guests. Then I see the beds. I've stayed here before, so I know what the rooms are normally like. My previous rooms had much bigger, fluffier beds and were significantly nicer overall. This room felt like it belonged to a completely different hotel. The bathroom was ugly, the room was disappointing, and the entire floor smelled like something had died. And somehow, I still didn't take the hint. So I ordered room service. I ordered one Alfredo pasta and two different soups. The Alfredo was so unbelievably salty that I couldn't even taste the cheese. One of the soups was also so salty that I could barely taste anything besides salt. Then came the second soup. I put my spoon in and felt what seemed like little particles at the bottom. I pulled the spoon out and there was a ridiculous amount of what appeared to be sugar on it. And yes, I tasted it. It was sugar. At this point I wasn't eating at a hotel anymore. I was apparently participating in a culinary social experiment. I went downstairs and asked for a refund. They offered to remake the food, but it was late, I was exhausted, and I absolutely did not want another meal from that kitchen. One of the employees actually tasted the food and agreed that the soup was extremely sugary and said I should get a refund. And yet they still refused. Apparently, if I had paid with cash, they could refund me but because I paid by card, suddenly a refund was impossible. Make that make sense.

Lo mejor es que ahora tienen servicio al cuarto las 24hrs. No tiene piscina pero si tiene area de gimnasio y area de Spa. Y no tiene nada que ver con el hotel pero justo en frente hay un Starbucks. Puedes irte caminando por tu cafe favorito. La comida estaba muy rica y el personal todos fueron muy amables. Si pudieran mejorar la ropa de cama por unas de mejor calidad o más nuevas. Pero fuera de eso no tengo quejas.

I've stayed in La Mansion, Motel Premier, El Paraiso, and others. This motel, even though is further from the border is as nice as La Mansion, but very affordable. I like this motel because the WiFi is good and reliable, which helps me whenever I have work to do. This last weekend they had a problem with their WiFi and I wasn't able to do work. Unfortunately, the Internet connection is what brings me here. I was upset and the staff understood. I was thinking of leaving somewhere else, but they moved me to another room that had some WiFi connectivity (WiFi was spotty in some areas). They went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed and that to me meant a lot. This is why I'm giving them a 5 star review. The rooms are clean, quiet, and nice. The prices are better than Motel 6, even though I go there on the weekends. For anyone wanting to get the best bang for you buck, this is the place. I highly recommend it.

This place blew my mind and they offer you free parking a block away behind the Soriana which is secure and nothing happened to my car. I would most definitely stay here again

The rooms are small, with all the usual amenities, plush bed, and space is utilized well.  Staff is very friendly, attentive.  There is a really awesome bar with indoor outdoor seating and the chef/bartender Miguel  great stories and life experiences from his world travels he's willing to share. Drinks were good but a bit expensive.   If you are a couple who want to be in the downtown TJ area to experience nightlife, this might be the place for you.  However, the hotel doesn't have its own parking, as it is off-site, not oriented for families or those who have difficulties moving around or in need of ramps.
