I stopped by here a number of Thursday's ago with my wife for dinner. Our neighborhood had been getting food trucks to come every Thursday night and on this night it was Mission Mahi's turn. Since it's a food truck there isn't much to say about it other than it was being worked by two people. For dinner on this day I decided to go with the buffalo while my wife went with the Greek and we also got a basket of fries to split. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time and we headed home to eat it. Whenever we opened it up I was surprised that it looked like a cross between a burrito and a panini although to be honest, I am not sure what I was expecting. In any case I enjoyed my meal as the blackened Mahi had a good flavor to it while I also enjoyed the buffalo sauce and the lettuce and cheese. Then the fries here were nice and crispy and we liked dipping them into the sricha Mayo that came with them. My wife also enjoyed her meal, especially the spinach artichoke cheese. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into (I can and should have read the menu) but it ended up being good and was a nice change of pace for me and my wife.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! Their food truck stopped by the US Steel tower and I got the Screaming Vegan. Perfect blend of spices and flavor and just delicious. Plus the staff is beyond nice

Nice big taco with 8 oz of Blackened Mahi Mahi wrapped in a 10" tortilla...What's not to like! As others have said it looks more like a burrito cut in half. I had the original so it is a flavorful fish with a definite blackened flavor. There are other options including chicken and a greek and one with fries on it. The also have cajun fries but did not order or get to try.

Loved this food truck. I had the Original and it did not disappoint. Treated my mother to the Yinzer and she enjoyed hers also. These tacos are very flavorful and seasoned perfectly.

Mahi based food truck with chicken options. It's a panini-style fish Taco made with mahi. Interesting concept. Flavorful and fresh. Tad pricey for most food trucks at $10 for the taco/panini combo but filling and bigger than the average fish taco.

To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Mission Mahi. They were at the food truck round up at Coffee Buddha over the weekend. Most of the trucks were running out of options and quite frankly fish tacos sounded amazing. Although, it turned out it wasn't exactly a taco, it was more like a fish burrito. They did have a fish taco option, but everything else was made more like a burrito. I went with the original, which was blackened mahi mahi, tomato, avocado, and sriracha mayo. Delicious! I'd eat one everyday if I could.

This food truck is amazing!!! The mahi is filled with flavor and delicate. I got the naked yinzer without the tortilla and it was good to the last bite. Perfectly seasoned fries and coleslaw paired well to cut some of the heat from the sriracha. For those who don't like fish they have a chicken that's tasty as well.

Mission Mahi used to be located right by our house. We'd always get so excited to grab food from here for dinner. They've moved their truck elsewhere, and whenever we would drive by (even if we just ate) we always stop! Everything on their menu is amazing, super filling, and addicting (yes, I've tried everything). The owner is extremely friendly and great to talk to, as well as everyone else who works the truck. Prices are right where they should be for the portions and unique flavor. If you see this truck, MAKE SURE YOU STOP TO EAT!

The truck is super noticeable and definitely more colorful than a lot of food trucks.

My boyfriend and I managed to catch Mission Mahi at a food truck round up at the Pittsburgh Public Market. Gyros N'At was unable to make it but we've been trying to grab Mission Mahi so it worked out. We both gobbled down our taco before I could grab pictures. They were excellent. I really wouldn't call them tacos though. Some other people posted pictures. They're more like a pressed wrap, or a burrito than a taco, but that doesn't matter because they are packed with mahi mahi and flavor (and they have sriracha mayo - it's on most of their tacos). I got the Greek and my boyfriend got the Tex-Mex. They were really flavorful and filling. I was surprised by how much fish there was. They were out of fries when we were there, but I ended up full from just the taco. My boyfriend grabbed a side from one of the other food trucks. I defintiely would recommend Mission Mahi. They're going to be at Voodoo Brewing for another food truck round up later this month and I might need to have them again.

    Love that paint job!!!

I was lucky enough to be at Grist House this Sunday when Mission Mahi was there serving up deliciousness. I love fish tacos, but am not a huge fan of Mahi. Until I tried these. They were amazing. Blackened, but not too spicy. The tortillas were amazing and they were finished off to perfection on the grill. Jimmy Woods, the owner, came over and chatted with us. His mission to help those struggling to renter the workforce after addiction treatment does nothing but add to the enjoyment of the experience. You can't miss the truck! It has an amazing paint job. If you see it, go. Get a taco. You're welcome.

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife. We were actually headed to Marshall's at the Block at Northway whenever we happened to spot this truck just outside. Since it is a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was parked on the sidewalk and had a sign up advertising their specials. Other than that I noticed a sign in the window saying that they sold Defer coffee which I appreciated since it is both local and good. Since there was no line I immediately proceeded up to the window and was able to place my order for a oatmilk latte. The oatmilk itself was only an extra $.75 which I feel like is a fair price for such an upgrade. In any case after only a minute or two wait I had my coffee and was on my way. Whenever I finally was able to taste it I will admit that I was happy with it. The coffee itself had a deep and rich flavor to it while the oatmilk had a strong oat flavor. Those two items were in proportion to each and played nicely together. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I thought that my coffee here was good and liked the idea of a coffee food truck.

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. It is, without a doubt, my new favorite pizza spot! Between being perfectly cooked at a high heat in the wood fired oven, the homemade dough and sauce, and the super fresh and quality toppings, this pizza outshines the other local places ten-fold. My experience with the service was also really great! I used the online ordering system which was easy and convenient. It gave an estimated time for pickup and confirmation text message. I arrived about 5-10 minutes early and was pleasantly surprised that I received a text saying my order was already ready. The owners/staff are also so friendly and I was in and out in a Jif. The newly renovated shop is super clean and nice with very Italian vibes and also has what appears to be imported Italian goods for sale (I didn't stay long enough to check it out but will next time). We really LOVED the pizza! The sweet and spicy pepperoni was soo good! We also got a plain cheese for our pickier kiddos and are really excited to try some of the other flavor options next time. Definitely add Vitalia to your go-to takeout spots to try especially for a busy weeknight dinner or to enjoy on the weekend. It might also be important to note it is a small shop and appears to be meant just for takeout and not a dine-in spot. Hope you try and enjoy as much I did!
