    Chicken quesadilla!
    Eva R.

Las chicas was parked in front of soldiers and sailors with free food for election day! I couldn't pass up an opportunity to have some mexican food so I ordered a chicken quesadilla with mild salsa for free! For having a decent line, the food came out very quickly. I was super appreciative that even though it was free it was still the normal size. There were three different cheeses, shredded chicken, and the mild salsa was a green tomatillo sauce. The quesadilla was surprisingly really flavorful and not too filled so easy to eat! Enjoyed my quesadilla and recommend Las Chicas to others!

Such great food and amazing service! Tacos were splendid and flavorful. Had to go back for the pumpkin cheesecake chimi. She also gave my dog a treat! Thank you so much Las Chicas!

Steak taco (2 come per order) with cilantro & salsa - delicious

We've eaten at the Las Chicas Foodtruck twice & had a great experience both times. If you're looking for authentic Mexican street tacos, this is the foodtruck for you. Both times I had steak tacos with cilantro & chunky salsa. You have your choice of mild, hot & chunky salsa. FYI the chunky salsa is very hot. I also had the Mexican street corn which was delicious. It has butter, Parmesan cheese & paprika. My husband had the chicken tacos, which were also very good with quality chicken. We finished it off with churros with cinnamon that we loved both times. Previously they had cinnamon crisps but they unfortunately no longer have them. Try them if you can. You'll love their food & their personality. Very kind & warm people.

    Chicken nacho supreme.

As a food truck connoisseur I felt inclined to try Las Chicas. I wasn't disappointed and I wasn't wowed. The caramel filled churro made everything great though. I gave it an extra star just for the churro. It's sweet and covered in cinnamon and it makes up for the oddity of the nachos I devoured. I liked them but I'll definitely try something else next time as the beans weren't black beans and I kind of expected rice or a special salsa. The chicken was well flavored though and even after I was full I found myself still wanting to eat the chicken. These guys also are very quick when it comes to taking and making orders. I was impressed. It made me want to try something else off their menu. As far as Mexican food trucks I think this one takes the cake (or churro - seriously order the churro).

Extremely flavorful quesadilla.. this would be a five star review but they are hard to find.. the chicken is marinated and delicious.. best quesadilla ive ever had possibly and the cheese is great.. I wish they opened up a brick and mortar location

First of all, Las Chicas is very efficient and even though we needed to wait for rice to finish cooking, they were professional and gave us free churros!! The steak burrito was good except it needed a little more cheese. Chicken tacos are two per serving and are good. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high. Overall, ¡muy bien!

I only had the veggie quesadilla, but it totally hit the spot! Nicely sautéed veggies, stringy cheese, and a dollop of sour cream on top. The perfect addition to my craft beer experience at an event at The Mattress Factory. Its food trucks like this that give me 100% confidence in Pittsburgh's food truck boom right now. They also offered a vegetarian option for almost every dish. I was trying to chose between the burrito and the quesadilla, because both sounded appetizing. When I mentioned that to the person waiting on us, they asked how hungry I was. I liked that they were actually telling me what would work for me vs. upselling me. I will definitely to go places this food truck is. I want to check out more of their menu for sure!

5 dollar nachos. Standard iPhone 6 for reference.

Always delicious. Love the tacos and taquitos. The churros for dessert. But most of all they're just happy, lovely people.

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife. We were actually headed to Marshall's at the Block at Northway whenever we happened to spot this truck just outside. Since it is a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was parked on the sidewalk and had a sign up advertising their specials. Other than that I noticed a sign in the window saying that they sold Defer coffee which I appreciated since it is both local and good. Since there was no line I immediately proceeded up to the window and was able to place my order for a oatmilk latte. The oatmilk itself was only an extra $.75 which I feel like is a fair price for such an upgrade. In any case after only a minute or two wait I had my coffee and was on my way. Whenever I finally was able to taste it I will admit that I was happy with it. The coffee itself had a deep and rich flavor to it while the oatmilk had a strong oat flavor. Those two items were in proportion to each and played nicely together. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I thought that my coffee here was good and liked the idea of a coffee food truck.

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. Honestly, this could be a meal for 2 people if you're not extremely hungry. It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my opinion due to the quality and the amount of food. I would go again. I'm interested in trying their lobster rolls after lent is over!

My wife and I ordered the Big Cheese and the Big Tex and a side of fries. The Big cheese was a little underwhelming in that the Mac and cheese was pretty standard and overcooked, there weren't many jalapeños slices, and the hot dog is just boiled and plain. The Big Tex was also just a boiled dog (no grilling here), but came with more peppers, onions, cheese and had a smoky sauce drizzled on it that was nice. The fries were thick cut and crispy and seasoned with more than just salt so those were nice too. Overall meal was about $17 before tip which isn't too bad but seems a little steep--I take comfort in knowing that it's at least for a good cause.

This food truck is more of a trailer that is towed on the back of the truck and on the day we were there they had 2 people working it. They were slammed and so there was the game of trying to keep up with orders without taking too many. Their menu says proceeds are for the light of life rescue mission which is nice. For dinner on this day I decided to order a number of items to split with my wife and so went for the big tex as well as a southern belle, fresh cut fries with cheese and a Mac and cheese with bacon. The hot dog selection was the toughest choice for me as I was between the chili chaloochi and the big tex before the amount of good sounding items on the big Tex won out. It was described as a hot dog with grilled onions, sweet peppers and jalepenos with Cajun seasoning and also topped with tomatoes, shredded cheddar and cowboy mayo and the southern belle was described as their spicy chicken selection with fried chicken strips, pickles and chipotle sauce served in their signature grilled hot dog bun. After about a 15 minute wait or so, our food was ready and I was headed home. Whenever I got home the first thing I noticed was that they had forgotten my bacon on the Mac and cheese and cheese on the fries which was disappointing since I had paid for both. At that point I was not expecting to give them anything higher than a 3 star review. In any case, I first started with the big Tex and I have to admit that I loved it! The grilled onions, sweet peppers and jalepenos all added some nice flavor to it and the deep fried hot dog was delicious. It was definitely the best hot dog I have had in a long time and I didn't feel bad spending the $7 on it. After that I tried the southern belle. It was on the same buttered bun which the hot dog was on which was tasty. The chicken itself had a nice golden color to it and tasted good enough and I enjoyed the chipotle sauce. I only wish that it had more spice for something that was called spicy. With both of my entrees complete I was able to try both of the sides. I started with the fries which you could tell were freshly cut. They were well seasoned and both my wife and I enjoyed them. Last but certainly not least was the mac and cheese which was a creamy Mac and cheese. It was a decent Mac and cheese but nothing to tell my friends about. The bottom line for me is that I would head back to the rescue dogs food truck again in the future. I really enjoyed my hot dog and would be interested in trying their signature chili chaloochi.

This food truck was a light blue color with two workers and served cinnamon rolls, pretzels and hot chocolate. My wife and I ended up ordering a pretzel with cheese and then a cinnamon bun for ourselves as well as another one which I ended up giving my mom for Mother's Day. The pretzel itself was $8 but it was one of those massive ones that you see at stadiums and came with a small side of cheese sauce. It ended up being nicely cooked and the outside of it had good texture while the inside was nice and soft. The outside of it did not have too much salt and both my wife and I enjoyed dipping it into the cheese sauce. Our cinnamon bun was similarly good as we enjoyed the pecan topping as well and the frosting and cinnamon flavor to it. The bun itself had a nice and soft consistency to it which made eating it quite nice. My mom also said she enjoyed the cinnamon bun which was nice to hear!
