A best kept secret that I'm hoping gets out to the world! Stopped in for lunch today and from the time I walked in the door into the time I left, everything was absolutely top tier. The restaurant is decorated perfectly for the aesthetic of authentic Mexican food and, even more importantly, is unbelievably clean. But the food.... Wow, the food. I ordered three different kinds of tacos and the meats on each tasted expertly cooked and the house hot sauce was delicious. I ordered a side of guac, which also tasted like it was made seconds before being brought to the table. Lastly, the employees were all super accommodating and genuinely all seemed to be happy to be there, which is a huge plus. I don't get to the south hills often but I'll be making a special trip back time and time again. A++++++++++

Good, but I'm interested in how the restaurant progresses over time. We ordered takeout, and the online ordering page was unavailable. Not a big deal: we just called the restaurant and placed an order. One issue that we encountered was that some number of items on the online ordering page were not actually available for ordering around lunchtime. That might just be a result of the restaurant being relatively new. In terms of the food, there was some good and some bad. The various salsas (roja and verde) were good. The roja was extremely mild, and the verde had a bit of a kick. The pico de gallo was about as expected, but it benefitted from a squeeze of lime. The chips were phenomenal. A perfect pairing for the various dips. The tacos were fine, but not exceptional. We ordered one shrimp taco and one fish taco. The fillings were reasonable, but not exceptional. Some additional toppings and extra sauces were helpful, but the experience still seemed flat. The chilaquiles were very good, but the online menu we had been referencing didn't mention the fact that they included a steak topping. Some of the menu photos on Yelp do seem to call that out. That says to me that they need to publish an official menu somewhere: the currently available information is less than clear. All told, this was a nice destination. The location was a little hard to get to, but there was reasonable parking available. The staff were friendly, and the space was nicely presented. Well worth checking out, but not exactly optimized for a vegetable forward experience.

The definition of La Oaxaqueña means an inhabitant or native woman from the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. I've never been to Oaxaca before, so I cannot say I am an expert on authentic Oaxacan cuisine, but I will say I did enjoy my meal here. This restaurant is located in what seems to be a former house in Bethel Park, hidden off of the main road. It's easy to miss if you aren't specifically looking for it. We had a party of five, and were celebrating a birthday. The server was very nice and she was very accommodating. Most of our party enjoyed the food although one dish came out incorrect, but a replacement was made right away. The birthday boy enjoyed a dessert of Tres Leches cake with a candle on top ... very nice!! I would come back again ... Cheers!

    Chicken tamale - very spicy!

This authentic Mexican restaurant is quaint and cozy. The waitress is extremely friendly. The food was delicious. When entering, you will receive a basket of chips with salsa. The cheese dip was pretty good. We will be back.

Honestly nothing too special, and quite a bit more expensive than at other places in the city and in the area. The frosting was pretty good, pretty rich, but the brownie itself was fairly dry. Nothing really special about it. Portion was pretty good though. I may come back to try a few other items, but I just didn't find this place all that special.

I can't give this place a high enough rating. 1 billion trillion gagillion out of 5 if possible…read more My brother and I came here saturday morning after a run since it's been on the hitlist for a while. Possibly best decision we made all year. We literally came back and spun the block for round 2 sunday morning to show our dad, the kind staff can attest to this! The first day we went with the brisket sandwich on a plain biscuit, and sausage on an everything. Both were 10/10, and both of us thought we had the better sandwich and made it a competition to prove each other wrong somehow. We both had a bite of each and thought these could quite easily be the best breakfast sandwich we've ever had. They are genuinely that good. Now, onto the even crazier parts (the cinnamon roll). We got a box of pastries of course. The fluffernutter roll, cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie, and the zucchini chocolate chip loaf. Best cinni roll we've ever had, hands down Fluffernutter was as good as it sounds, also a 10/10 As a chocolate chip cookie veteran, this one is decent. 6-7/10, I'd stick with getting the rolls personally The little zucchini loaf joint was good too, I've never had anything like that and it was like a good banana bread kinda deal (this probably isn't that helpful but all I know is that it tasted good man) Literally the next morning we ran it back to show Dad. Brother and I had to try the Bacon on plain next, and dad got the sausage. Again, best breakfast sandwich ever. Never had a biscuit this good, it's genuinely ridiculous. Got straight cinni rolls and the sticky bun this time. All hits no misses (that's for the married folks) I shall return with a vengeance
