I've been following @hoshipgh on Instagram for awhile now, waiting for an opportunity when they were parked close to me since they post their weekly schedule. A really filling meal, either for lunch or dinner! I ordered the salmon hibachi and upgraded to fried rice. The sauce was super tasty and the to-go box was piled high with vegetables. I did have to wait a little longer than I had expected, but it was definitely worth it once I sat down and enjoyed my meal.

Friendly staff, nicely cooked medium rare steak, and veggies nicely seared, but everything just lacked a little bit of seasoning...even if only salt. Difference between a really good meal and a memorable one.

Hibachi food truck? Now I've seen it all! I'm a big fan of Hoshi. Hibachi is a rare treat for me these days, so when I indulge in it I expect it to be good. And this truck does not disappoint! I had a chance to sample one of their meals this past summer. I went for the scallop hibachi, which was AMAZING. I know scallops from a food truck is a little unusual, but they were so well prepared that I can recommend them wholeheartedly! Plus, as one expects with hibachi, Hoshi's portions are seriously generous. Between the protein, the veggies, and the heaping bed of rice in my container - with a tasty sauce on the side - I couldn't even eat all of my order in one go. Not a bad deal for $13 (since I had scallops I paid an extra few bucks). With Pittsburgh's food truck scene growing larger and more delicious every month, it's a blessing and a curse to be able to add another good one to our roster. A blessing because I love their food - a curse because it's getting so hard to pick WHICH food truck to eat from these days! But that's a good problem to have, and I'm excited for the chance to order from Hoshi again sometime.

I loved this hibachi! It wasn't overly oily like other places I've been to. They also had a vegetarian option with tofu and veggies. It was delicious!! My husband got the salmon which was also good. They offer steamed rice, fried rice or noodles. I would have gotten noodles if I noticed that sooner. Great customer service. They have an efficient method in the food truck. The wait wasn't terrible considering the crowd. Highly recommend!! Oh and that ginger sauce they have is crazy good!

Hoshi is one of my favorite food trucks in the Pittsburgh area right now. I follow them on both a Instagram and Facebook to keep up with where they will be each week. I don't know about you, but hibachi is one of the best meals. Usually when we go we end up spending 50+ dollars and enjoy every second of it. Hoshi is the exact same thing, on wheels, for literally half the cost. All of the veggies are fresh, and your meal isn't physically made until you order it. You will wait at least 10 minutes, because they're making each meal made to order and you can TASTE the difference. Also make sure your order extra sauces because much like at hibachi, one will not be enough.

Ok here it is Hoshi get hibachi style Japanese food from this food truck Chef Juan Gonzalez really knows how to pull it off we had the pleasure of meeting this truck at a Wagsburgh event Hoshi was donating a portion of sales to an animal rescue from looking at their FB page you can find out where they will be in the city the menu has all the offerings of a restaurant hibachi including salmon chicken beef friendly Girl at the truck window is happy to explain their offerings I opted for Mahi Mahi with rice it was a very generous amount of rice and fish with fresh veggies I always like when there are carrots the fish was really nice tender and flavorful my son opted for chicken and rice another generous portion two different cups of sauce in the box they were so tasty nice that we could wolf down our lunch at home we live close enough that it was still nice and hot when I got home

Yum! Great healthier option to order during quarantine. Delivery through DoorDash. It arrived quickly and was great quality. I got the salmon with mango salsa. It's a huge amount of food for the cost. Wish I got a little more salsa. It comes with two sauces but neither went with the salsa really. Will absolutely order again

I've been coming up here to Pittsburgh all week long and I kept seeing this food chalk and I was like you know what football trained and almost over for my son I am going to stop and get me something off this truck and I am so glad I did it was fresh and was flavored very well it was very well and it was hot and it was Gand it was good and I'm actually gonna download the app so next time I'm in the city I might want to just track them down. They were gloves they were friendly and from what I could see at the truck they looked at very clean The only thing I would say they should have sanitizing sitting out For customers but they had everything else

As far as speed and flavor this place was good and it wasn't expensive. I got the veggie fried rice and cleaned my plate. Spending the extra money to upgrade to fried rice was worth it. The staff was very nice and the variety they offer was A1. I'd definitely check this place out for a second time.

Hoshi came to my office today and I was so surprised at the quality and how much food you can get for the $10 that I paid! I ordered the chicken which comes with white rice and veggies (onion, zucchini, and carrots). The whole dish was only $10 and I couldn't finish it. The veggies were surprisingly fresh and cooked the perfect amount (not too soggy). For $2 you can upgrade the white rice to fried rice. As far as food trucks go and a relatively healthy lunch, I was very impressed. Both chopsticks and forks are available, as well as gluten free options.

Food: Excellent - Stumbled upon this gem downtown. Being from NYC my standards for food trucks are pretty high. The flavors, quality and quantity of my Shrimp and Fried Rice was EVERYTHING. Service: Very Good - The cashier was polite and personable, managing a queue and providing excellent service. Food took probably 6-10 minutes. Overall: Highly Recommend - The food was restaurant type quality. Flavors were present and shrimp were seasoned and plentiful. What an excellent way to set the model for all Food Trucks alike. A meal from this truck is a destination, you won't regret it!

I greatly regret having to write this review. I contacted Two Brothers Barbeque some time ago to…read morecater my wedding. Initially, I had a wonderful experience. The individual I worked with, Terri, was initially responsive and accommodating and made me feel at ease about booking this business. I put down a deposit in early November. Later in November I reached out for some more information to aid in the planning of my wedding reception. However, I never heard back. I was not unduly concerned because this is a barbeque business and I thought this might be their "off-season". I assumed they would get back to me when they were able. I did not hear back from Two Bothers Barbeque, even when springtime rolled around, so I called them a couple of times. I did not hear back. At this point, I got concerned because our wedding was in only three months. I was eager to speak to them to have some questions answered. My fiancé suggested we drive to the business, so we could connect with them. When we drove to the business, we were rather dismayed to see many signs stating "Business for Sale." There was a phone number on one of the "For Sale" signs, so I called it and said that I had seen their "For Sale" signs and was interested in talking about this. At this time, I did not tell them my name or state that I was a client. I got a return call pretty immediately. When I received the call-back, I explained that I had emailed and called the business without hearing back, and that I was concerned that the business was for sale, as we were counting on them catering our wedding. The gentleman on the phone (the owner, I believe) said they were retiring and were winding down the business, but that they planned to honor all scheduled events. He said he would have Terri call me. I was extremely relieved - but only for a short while. Terri called after several minutes. I explained the situation to her. I told her that I was concerned because I hadn't received a response to my email or phone calls and then saw that the business was for sale. She said that the catering part of the business was for sale, as well as their food trucks, but they would still honor their contracts for the summer. However, she then said she would just refund my money if I was uncomfortable. I was taken aback - I had said nothing about cancelling the contract and was really just nervous about the prospect of the business being sold. I received no kind of apology for the lack of communication. Terri said that she hadn't responded to my email in November because I sent it too close to Thanksgiving and that she never received my phone calls. At some point during this conversation, Terri became quite hostile, raising her voice and becoming accusatory. She blamed me for the lack of contact and did not take responsibility for failing to respond. The situation became truly unsettling; in fact, may I say, deeply shocking. Terri did say that she had some medical concerns, which I do sympathize with. However, I have had a number of medical issues, some of them quite serious, and I have never treated a client this way. Ultimately, I stated that she could cancel the booking and send the refund, which was what she appeared to want to do in the first place. It really seemed like she did not care too much about the business or leaving us in a precarious position of having no caterer for our wedding. I left the phone call truly bewildered and told my fiancé I was sorry and that I had lost the caterer for our wedding. He said, "You shouldn't be sorry. You did absolutely nothing wrong." (He had been listening to this conversation.) We went home and brainstormed new possibilities, and, luckily, found another local business that was more than willing to cater for us. They have been a dream to work with. I know this review probably does not matter because Two Brothers is retiring from catering, but it is important that people be careful when dealing with this company. If you have a current date booked with them, please considering making a back-up plan. I'm not sure this business cares to uphold its promises, nor does it take responsibility for its own actions. Please be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

This place is a low class bbq place, I cannot speak to ownership. But, the way the situation was handled is completely unacceptable. I do not care if they are now a catering business alone. The way they acted is ridiculous and you should hire another bbq catering company. Btw, why would anyone say . Best of luck to you, hope a girl doesn't beat your A**" How dumb.... This food truck was a light blue color with two workers and served cinnamon rolls, pretzels and hot chocolate. My wife and I ended up ordering a pretzel with cheese and then a cinnamon bun for ourselves as well as another one which I ended up giving my mom for Mother's Day. The pretzel itself was $8 but it was one of those massive ones that you see at stadiums and came with a small side of cheese sauce. It ended up being nicely cooked and the outside of it had good texture while the inside was nice and soft. The outside of it did not have too much salt and both my wife and I enjoyed dipping it into the cheese sauce. Our cinnamon bun was similarly good as we enjoyed the pecan topping as well and the frosting and cinnamon flavor to it. The bun itself had a nice and soft consistency to it which made eating it quite nice. My mom also said she enjoyed the cinnamon bun which was nice to hear! The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Clearly this food truck isn't going to provide you with a full meal, but it certainly does have some fun stuff to snack on.
