Called, and they were able to fit me in right then are there. Came in for what I thought was a cold, but tested positive for the flu. They were able to give me a shot so I could survive the workday, and felt great. The staff are very wonderful, polite, and kind folks. I had a very pleasant experience. My mom came in on Sunday with an ear problem to this clinic. The first nurse that tried taking care of my mom said he'll be back in TWO minutes. My mom waited for almost AN HOUR to be seen again, no one came and checked in on my mom. She was also discharged when she was still there waiting for help. The first nurse that took her apparently ended their shift already, so nobody else could see my mom? My mom had to wipe her own ear and clean herself. This is poor communication and lack of professionalism from the clinic. My mom had to get up and find help herself! What if my mom had a heart attack in the room? No one would have even known. And my mom was told to leave a review afterwards which insulted her even more. They never even apologized and recognized that she waited for such a long time. This isn't professional. Absolutely unacceptable experience. Dr. Johnson and the staff at AFC should be ashamed of how they treated my 5-year-old son. The visit happened the day after his 5th birthday, still his birthday weekend, and instead of kindness, he was met with ignorance and disrespect. Dr. Johnson mocked my son's Islamic name, saying, "I don't know where you got that name from," while another staff member laughed. My son looked sad and embarrassed. When I explained that it is an Islamic name, Dr. Johnson went on to ask, "Where are you from?" and "Is his father from the Middle East?" Her comments were offensive, inappropriate, and discriminatory. The irony is that her accent is heavier than wet concrete and her name is Sibonisiwe but she has the desire to mock a child. As a mother, it broke my heart to see my sweet and proud little boy made to feel small and ashamed of his name. As a paralegal, I am now in the process of suing this facility. I also emailed their grievance contact and, as expected, received no follow-up or apology. This experience was traumatizing for my son and deeply disappointing on every level. Parents, especially those from diverse backgrounds, should think twice before bringing their families here. I went to AFC yesterday feeling HORRIBLE! I was seen very quickly first by Darlene to get my vitals. She was beyond friendly and helped calm my nerves. After taking me into the room, Tammy Windeknech FNP came in to evaluate and set up a treatment plan for me. Tammy was incredibly friendly and took her time for evaluation and treatment. My experience yesterday exceeded my expectations. The staff were all amazing and very professional all the while being friendly and caring. Thank you AFC!! read more

This review was written 6 years ago and I never posted it. 1 star: location/convenience 1 star: friendly staff 1 star: timeliness of treatment 0 star: weighing child incorrectly (weighed at 22 lbs, actual weight 26) 0 star: odd dosage of meds The weight was off and I mentioned it while my son was on the scale and was told it was done correctly. My son was weighed the very next day (and had barely eaten), so I know he didn't gain 4 lbs overnight. This 15% difference in weight meant the amount of meds prescribed wasn't enough to get his super high fever down. Common antibiotic with an uncommon dosag, which made sense why I had to drive to 5 different pharmacies in Riverside at night during a rainstorm until I was able to find a pharmacy that had it in stock. read more

Honestly steer CLEAR of this place!! Went in Friday for an exam on my ears which I felt I had an ear infection, the "dr" came in to the room, slightly looked in my ears and said "nothing is wrong with them" and asked if I had gone to the dentist recently, (yes maybe 4-5 months ago) & she's responds with shrugging "yup that's why it's hurting!" She slightly looked in my mouth which has absolutely NO PAIN & again goes "yeah tooth abscess" half ass-ing the entire appointment. Not to mention the girl taking my vitals before this "dr" walked in was FALLING ASLEEP while asking me my questions. I had to repeat the same questions 3 times and all she'd say was "sorry I'm just so tired" I went to another clinic today to them telling me I had a DOUBLE ear infection and it was very inflamed. The neglect this first "Dr" showed during my visit could've honestly cost me my hearing from how bad it had gotten. Maybe a 15 consult for her to give me false information and charging me $50 for that just to prescribe me tooth medicine and tell me to go to my dentist cause he's liable. My dentist office is way more professional and way cleaner than this so called "urgent care" NO STARS!!! read more

I always question why I even return. Worst service ever. Had a 10am appointment and did not get seen until an hour and a half later. I checked in at 10:03 and the gentleman that "checked me in" wrote in 10:33. When I confronted stuff about the long wait, they notified me I hadn't waited as long as I was saying since their records indicated 10:33. Staff gives out incorrect information over the phone. Oh and the cherry on top? Cash only. Card reader is down until further notice. read more

I just had to get my blood taken at this quest on Magnolia Riverside and I would like to happily say that the person that you my blood her name was Judy and she did an amazing job. You never know who you will get to drive blood so it's a 50-50 flip, you're horrible and you feel like you were stabbed... Lol or it's so sweet you didn't really even feel it. Was one of those. Thank God! Did a walk in, the staff at the front was very professional. I was there for one ailment and and if I could be screen for a UTI as well. The girl in the front that did my vitals, said sure. They take me back to a room, and a few minutes later a student walks in and tells me I can be seen for only one thing. I have never heard of such a thing. If I'm there for a visit I'm there for a visit. I'm not sure if it was a money thing, or what. It would have been easier to just go to the emergency room. Sure they are good for some things. but called over to see pricing for a rapid test. 99% of places are $129. They were very rude on the phone, and explained that $190 is their price, and if you want another its 4-7 days for results and may or may not be covered, and they dont know. It will be a surprise. I have been here before, and my experiences have been good. The doctors and staff are nice and the times I went I was not there long. Went today and my experience was good, however I do not like the new system they have. They went all electronic even with the after visit summaries. This does make it a bit inconvenient because it's urgent care and we may need those notes on hand. Sometimes the electronic prescriptions take 30mins to 1hr depending and to have something on hand as a back up helps in case they don't get it. The doctors are nice and I have had a good experience every visit and I don't go to urgent care often. The new system is my only complaint which I why I'm giving 3 stars. read more

This place has gone from good to bad. They are very inconsiderate, inefficient and unprofessional. Made online appointment at 9am, received text to show up at 1150. So we show up 15 min early to waiting room with 3 people in it to be told they don't take online appointments. They also said that they were just about to call me to let me know if the issue of booking online. Just about to call me hours later! I could have gone somewhere else! My four year old daughter was denied service until copayment was made. Every other clinic I've ever been will charge copay after being seen by doctor if it's your turn but not this place. When I came in I was told there were three people ahead of me but after those three, three more people were called in first because I hadn't paid the copayment. The receptionist attempted to charge me $50 when my app, and two different agents from United Health Care assured me my copayment was $20 (this clinic is less than 7miles away from me so obviously still in network) the receptionist herself said they would call another person before me until they received copayment and that one had to pay before going in. A facility's mission cannot be to provide the best possible care service to anyone if they put money ahead of medical services ESPECIALLY when it comes to young children. After that I waited nearly 40 mins for the doctor to go in the room we were placed for her to be in and out in under 5 minutes. The only person who I liked was the lady with beautiful wavy black hair who took her time in calling my pharmacy to make sure I had no problems when picking up my prescription. This so called urgent care facility completely misdiagnosed me and sent me home with allergy medicine. 17 hours later I was rushed to the emergency room because of a massive heart attack which they called a widow maker event. Made a reservation for a very expensive COVID test required to fly to Hawaii. Called to confirm date and time two days later. Came in today to find that they had "lost" the reservation. No apologies, no remedies, just "oops". Now my trip to Hawaii is cancelled. Christmas is ruined. This place is worse than a joke - it is a cruel trick. Everyone is trying to to their best these days, but they KNOW they are delivering a mission-critical service that requires specific timing and reservations.
