I wanted to say first that i appreciate the 2 ladies in the office Caitlin Moreno and Maria. I was here for almost a year but broke the contract because something was always breaking or the pluming was going bad and talk to Maria about this and it was always work orders and it will take 2 weeks for someone to come out to my apartment like they didn't care. For 3 weeks i couldn't use my bathroom sink because it was clogged and i had to go spend my money to fix what was going on and my toilet was running and i had to pay out of pocket to fix it and all they said was sorry. Maria at the beginning was very helpful and sooo nice but when i had trouble in the apartment she started to back away and being rude to me and giving me dry response , and so i started to talk to Caitlin and she was so sweet and professional about her job. Too be honest I will not be coming back to this apartments! My last day when i return the keys i told maria hi good morning but she was rude and said sorry am helping someone else but there was no one there but Caitlin help me return my keys! we know why there's so many vacant units here lol ..... Don't even bother coming to tour here. The price you're quoted isn't the price you'll get. My friend and I toured these apartments last week because we were interested in leasing. Natalie gave us the tour, and she was great--we had a positive experience with her and were seriously considering Mission Grove. After looking at a few other properties, we decided Mission Grove was our top choice and went online to apply for the specific unit Natalie quoted us after the weekend. However, the price listed on the application was higher than the quote we were given. I immediately tried calling the leasing office multiple times that day and continued calling throughout the week with no answer. I assumed it might be due to the holidays, so I waited through New Year's with the same result. I don't live nearby, so dropping in isn't easy. I called my mom who was a property manager in Riverside for over 10 years and asked her about this situation and if it was common for the prices to be that much different on the quote vs on the application. She said no, but that the quote should be honored, and she would have honored it herself if she were still leasing. Today I finally got the chance to drive 45 minutes to visit this leasing office in person. When I asked if their phones were broken, I was told they "heard they weren't working." I leased apartments for four years as a temp and know that those phones ring all day, so I'm not sure how you wouldn't immediately recognize something is off when your phones aren't ringing for that long of a time but okay. I explained that I had been trying to reach them for quite some time to ask why the price on the application didn't match the quote. I was then told that prices had gone up and that quotes are only valid for 48 hours. The issue is that I tried repeatedly to contact them as soon as I noticed the price change, but no one answered the phones for several days. There was no discussion, no attempt to work with us, and no willingness to honor the original quote despite the communication issues clearly being on their end. We are well-qualified, high-income applicants and were ready to move forward and sign a lease immediately, but we will obviously be leasing elsewhere now. Quoting one price and then refusing to honor it especially when residents can't get in touch due to non-working phones around the holidays is unacceptable. If the quote you gave me last week is somehow an unacceptable price to lease at this week, then there is a serious issue with how pricing and quotes are being handled. At least now we know why there's so many vacant units here, lol read more

I really had high hopes for this apartment complex because of the nice area it's in, in riverside. However since moving here a year ago, our garage has been broken into 6 different times and our car is broken into twice. It would be nice to have a strong security presence, rather than a security guard drive through once in a while at only 9pm. The time of the break ins are happening around 2am-4am while everyone sleeps. We pay rental insurance but the company we pay gives the run around and seems doubtful if our garage is being broken into this many times, but it truly is! The rental insurance wants victims to provide receipts of stolen property even if it was purchased years ago or if the property was sentimental, which is impossible and very mean. I lost heirlooms and it really seems like the front office doesn't care most of the time. I'm heartbroken. The homeless presence in these apartments is also very prominent. Homeless people take over the pools and jacuzzis in the back of the complex and I truly feel unsafe coming home at night. I pray something is done. read more

I want to preface by saying I do not leave many reviews if ever, but we lived at the complex for about 14-15 months and not all was bad, the community itself is nice and quiet. A couple of things I will warn everyone on: 1. The office staff is extremely helpful up front, once you move in it's is completely different. They have their tenant phone numbers listed on their phones so when we call they screen the call. I know this because on 5+ occasions I have tried calling with the number they had listed and no answer, but then I call back right after on a different phone and they answer. 2. My truck was broken into overnight, and it was parked right by a camera. The following morning after finding out that occurred, I walked to the office where I was told that the camera is a non-operational camera. I don't know if that is true, but either way no video footage was provided for me to be able to make a police report. 3. When we moved in we filled out a move in sheet and called out a few things we noticed on the counters as well as the showers. They had a company come in and refinish their surfaces and they did a poor job and I called it out in our move in sheet and was still charged to repair this at move out. Like I said, our experience here was not terrible, the community is nice and quiet, and the office is wonderful upon move-in but that changes once you are a resident. We were having issues with the AC there wasn't much airflow coming through the vents. We put the claim in Tuesday night and John came early Wednesday morning. Very fast. He fixed the problem in 10 minutes and called a couple hours later to make sure our AC was working better. He was great read more

It's okay we have been living here for a couple of years now. Rent has increased like crazy. The maintenance of the outside has gone down significantly, it seems they only care about taking care of the areas that are shown to new and potential residents. We have recently seen and increase in pests within the last couple of months. Ants and spiders coming in our apt but that is manageable. The one main pests have been giant rats! We have seen two giant rats dead near the parking areas and can hear them run around the attic. On top of rat dropping everywhere outside. You can't park your car inside the community unless you register it with a third party or else they will tow your car. I have had my car towed once since living here and it costed from what I can remember $200-300 to get it back. Front office never answers the phone. It's literally rare to ever hear from them especially since the pandemic. Location is great though we're surrounded by a lot of great stores, gyms, and schools. Would I recommend someone to this place.... NO, with how the care and maintenance of the community have been it's not worth what they're asking for in rent every month. read more

After multiple attempts to get a full refund Mission Grove refused to give me a refund on my application fees. Artemiza said that I would get a full refund of both the holding deposit and application fees which makes sense because it was their mistake pricing the apartment incorrectly but Joseph refuses to give back the application fees because I signed a paper saying that it is non-refundable. Even though I also signed a paper agreeing on a specific rental price in which they refuse to follow. This complex just scams people to gain more money though their application fees. I have asked to get the managers email to contact and they ignore me every time. read more

Didn't realize I had moved into an apartment complex in San Bernardino. My car was broken into a week ago and by the looks of it, according to posts from a neighborhood watch app more than 8 other individuals have had their cars broken into within the past two weeks. For having to pay so much and living in a predominantly white neighborhood (I am a person of color) you'd figure our belongings inside our vehicles would be safe in a gated apartment complex. 10/10 would not recommend moving here. Out of the 3 pools that are on property, residents have only been able to use 1 of the 3 for almost an entire year now. Taking covid-19 into consideration, the management company should have implemented a temporary lower rent rate for its residents as we are paying full price FOR ALL THE AMENITIES, the team on site hasn't even purposed alternative solutions to the lack of approach they've had during the entire pandemic which is not the staffs fault as they as simply the messengers but the management company who decided they would continue to take its residents money without being considerate about the current world-wide health pandemic. If you're already a resident I would not advise moving to another unit as you won't get your deposit back and will be charged a large sum for "necessary renovations" that were done after you moved out even though you left the apartment clean. Management at the front office will send you pictures of other units stating they were yours in effort to keep them from giving a deposit back. Side note: The grilling areas on property are never maintained and are absolutely disgusting, I've seen cleaner surfaces and grills at public parks. (Don't get me started on how rude some of the maintenance workers are when they come fix something in your unit). Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. The convenience of everything being close and being a relatively quiet neighborhood it is not worth the lack of security after several instances of cars being broken into and transients loitering in the pool areas at night throughout the years we have lived here (although now it seems like it's an every other day event) even when they had security most of the time I would see them parked at the jack in the box parking lot across the street. It's a disappointment, in reality. They also had the audacity of raising the rent on multiple residence without proof as to why the amount dramatically exceeds other residents who live in the same layout. I would highly suggest looking into other apartment management companies and doing proper research before investing money into a place like this where residents are obviously not a priority as the companies main goal is to solely collect our rent. I would only recommend living here if you're single, don't have a car, and don't plan on using any of the amenities which in case renting a room or a studio elsewhere would probably be more beneficial. read more

I've been a resident at Mission Grove for about 4 months now, and overall it's been a very positive experience. The leasing office is quick to respond to emails and calls--Erick, Janelle, and Joseph helped us out when we were moving in and they made the process quick and easy. We've also put in 2 maintenance requests so far and they were fulfilled by the next day! The amenities here are great and the community is beautiful, not to mention pet- and kid-friendly. My family and I lived there for a year and after the year lease, they started the charge us for the most random reasons. They attempted to charge us $800 and said that the carpet was messed up and that the paint was bad however it was just my parents, myself (a college student), and my grandma. In addition to that, my dad took videos and photos the last day we had the apartment and we showed them. They took the charge off and went to a collector and told them we owe $200 for trying to switch apartments (which we did). But we didn't even sign any papers in the end! It was something we took to the office and we didn't even go through with switching. And they are still trying to get us to pay $200. These apartments are money grabbers and selfish...
