Let me just say that being a local at California, there are not much options for American BBQ, all we have is kbbq, Filipino bbq, Japan bbq, etc. So this was newer to me, I just don't have it often. The bbq here was the best American bbq I have had in my life, that being said I don't go to American bbq spots often. The smoky flavor was perfect, my favorite sauce was the smoky mountain. The meat of the brisket was so tender and the potatoes were flavorful and perfect! I would definitely take my friends and family here if I came back to the east coast. Tonight was our first visit and it won't be our last! Beautiful location! Immediately greeted by Peter at the counter who had a big smile and made us feel welcome. He walked us through the menu, made suggestions, explained all our choices, and really made ordering easy! The young lady who called out our order was friendly and offered to carry our food to our table. Amber checked on us several times at the table and made excellent suggestions including the GeorgiaHh mustard for the sausage- which was amazing! Out and about looking for a lunch option that would work for different preferences, we came across Mission BBQ. For me, BBQ spots can be pretty hit or miss, but I'm happy to report that Mission BBQ is 10s across the board! When we walked in, we were instantly greeted, welcomed in, asked if we had been there before, and had the menu explained to us. What a great first impression, to have employees be so proactive and wanted to make sure we were comfortable! I explained my dietary restrictions to the cashier, who could not have been sweeter about helping provide me with options. I ordered the smoked salmon and green beans, both of which were DELICIOUS! My Dad ordered the jalapeno cheddar sausages with a side of collard greens and my mom ordered the pulled chicken with Mac n cheese, and they also had great things to say. When I went back up to the counter to get a carry out container, and observed a man carrying a baby in a car seat, who definitely had his hands full, and the cashier refused to let him carry his own food to the table. The food was really good here, and worth the money, but I have to say the thing I was most impressed with was the level of service. I could tell this is a place that treats their employees well because the people working there seemed really happy to be working, and that means a lot. They also have a mission to support service members, as evidenced by the decor in the dining room as well as the information on their website and the overall theming. we have eaten here several times. wanted to try different items. The first time I had ribs and had to try all the sauces before I found one I liked. the ribs were great this visit. Next time had pulled pork sandwich and it was so good. Next visit tried the sausage also loved it. We went again yesterday and I once again got the ribs and they were so salty that I could not finish them, they were terrible. Not a fan of most of their sides. it seems to be hit or miss. read more

We had our first visit yesterday and were super impressed. Monica greeted us immediately and could tell by our confused looks that we needed help. She walked us through the menu, the preparation and the whole process. it was customer service that is rarely ever seen these days. The food was served quickly and fresh. The choices of so many sauce flavors adds to the experience as we were able to try many we have never had before. As we ate we noticed several local firefighters and a number of gentlemen wearing their veteran hats dining with us. It made you appreciate what sacrifices others make for us. Finally we had a very enjoyable talk with Patrick who came by to check on us and make sure we were 100% satisfied. Monica also came back out to make sure all went well. The friendliness of the staff is what sets this place apart. We live about 45 minutes from here, but whenever we are in Niles this will be our new Go To restaurant. Way to go team. Went here twice, once to the Warren and once to the Boardman location, I like the atmosphere, and the pulled pork is very good but you have to add your own sauce at the table. I would prefer that if you want sauce they would add it to the pork and warm it. The quantity of pork you get on a sandwich is a very generous. The chicken was good too. I've tried the sides of baked beans, collard greens and Mac n cheese. The Mac in cheese is good, did not care for the baked beans or the collards. The collard greens were filled with tomatoes and not that good southern flavor and the baked beans had to much BBQ sauce in them. The service was good, was greeted upon arrival and even though it's self service there was a worker coming to tables to make sure everything was good. I might give it another try but I much prefer Cockeye BBQ, there meats are always delicious and they have really good tasty homemade sides. read more
