They're always adding seasonal beverages and new drinks to the menu item to keep things interesting. On this visit, we had The Grinch in honor of the holiday season. It was a yummy hot matcha with peppermint. Super good! For breakfast, we all had a variety of things, but it's evident that the Mocha House has a ton of expertise in their omelet game. Warning: it's a huge portion. Last week, my handicapped and nearly deaf friend Phil, who loves Mocha House, stopped in for lunch. He had bags from shopping and the staff was very accommodating and let him sit out on the patio because he has to go in through the back, as they are not handicapped accessible. So nice! Right? Their employee, Tawon, brought out some menus, slapped them forcefully down, and berated Phil. For not hearing him. For being in a wheel chair. For having the audacity to order outside because he couldn't get in the building. For having an EXTINGUISHED cigarette among his bags because the staff had politely told him it was no smoking. When Phil called later to speak to the manager about the absolute abuse by Tawon, she told him that he shouldn't have been outside and ordered. When Phil asked how he was expected to carry food, a drink, AND maneuver his wheelchair THROUGH THE BACK AREA...she literally said, "I don't care". This is a sad day. Phil loved the Mocha House. We found it so quaint. He's been going there for over 7 years, and introduced us to it last year. To the staff that he adores... I'm truly sorry. But your establishment is now too toxic and offensive to be a place of interest for us, and it's not like you make your baked goods anymore. Phil has watched cases of 20 dollar a tray baked goods come in from stores and get sold for 6 bucks each as in house made. Clean up your act. Understand that the handicapped deserve better treatment, and customers OF ALL KINDS deserve respect, and that this experience is going to cost you customers, because I don't tolerate my wheelchair bound friends to be treated so horribly. When those two staff members make a public apology, and a private one to Phil... I will edit this review. If it is still up, go somewhere else. The first thing I noticed is how much seating there is; it doesn't look huge from the outside, but there is an entire covered patio area as well as many tables inside. When you get into the main area, there's a counter in your left: take a look at the menu and place your order at the counter. Kayla was so friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff that I encountered. I had one of the breakfast specials which was really tasty and very reasonably priced. Stopped in for dinner on a hot day because I didn't feel like cooking. First impression: it was really warm inside. They had window AC units, but unfortunately, they weren't turned on, and you could feel the heat -- even the desserts in the display case looked like they were struggling. We ended up getting our food to go, since dining in would've been uncomfortable. That said, the young woman at the counter was wonderful -- friendly, helpful, and clearly doing her best despite the tough working conditions. I think her name was Riley. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but I promise you the inside will amaze you. The giant fireplace is stunning. The food is a little expensive, not gonna lie, but it's delicious and gourmet and so worth it. I would suggest something but honestly everything is so good. The staff are so friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something sweet, the Mocha House is the place for you!! I come in specifically for the elephant ear. It's flaky, sweet, cinnamon flavored, and just completely delicious!! I haven't been able to find an elephant ear as good, anywhere else! Three strawberry shortcake cake, is also absolutely divine! The sponge cake is sweet, the strawberry jelly is tasty in between the layers, but what has me sold is the whip cream icing. The icing is light and sweet, just how I love it!! read more

So let me start by saying their Cali cheesecake wasn't my favorite because I like rich cheesecake. Eating it I thought it tasted much more like a mousse cake with fruit which threw me off as I was expecting "cheesecake." That said, it was still delicious. While there, we also picked up two chocolate-covered biscottis I had with my coffee the following day. Best biscottis second to the ones I've had living in New York. The staff was so efficient and incredibly friendly. Everyone working seemed to love their job, which was so please try because it made the environment so warm and welcoming.
