Our hospital hosts an annual employee picnic on the rooftop of our parking garage, and we needed a caterer capable of serving a large number of staff members across multiple shifts while accommodating various dietary restrictions. Nicole and Darin confidently assured our event council that they could meet those needs, and they delivered on every promise. They even provided food samples for our team to try and carefully took notes throughout the planning process to ensure every detail was covered. On the day of the event, the team performed exceptionally well, quickly adapting when additional food was needed for our first shift. Their flexibility and professionalism ensured that every employee was served and satisfied. On June 10, 2026, Mission BBQ successfully served more than 1,800 meals at our main event. The feedback from our staff was overwhelmingly positive, with many people raving about the quality of the food and service. In addition, Mission BBQ catered for all 24 of our off-site locations over a two-week period, delivering and setting up self-service catering at each site. My husband and I go here every week. The food, drinks and service are great. The staff are the best in the restaurant business. They have mission ambassadors that make sure you have anything you need. When their available. Like Nina and Grace. They're so helpful and informative. They treat you like family. The restaurant is usually very clean and if there's a mistake in an order, which is rare, they quickly fix it. The place is an honor to servicemen, women and first responders. My first visit here. I really enjoyed it. I loved the way it is decorated. It is dedicated to first responders and veterans. They have a donation system, where you can donate a picture or patch from the first responder or veteran in your life. Which is super cool! The prices were very reasonable, and the portions substantial. We split a 3 meat sampler plate, and couldn't finish it all. It was a great way to try a little of a lot of food choices. Good BBQ for the price. I came here Sunday evening around 5:30pm for dinner. The restaurant has cool indoor decor and regular table and booth seating. Ordering was at the back of the room, and food came out just 2-3 minutes after ordering. It's a self serve so I picked up food then pick table I want. They have outdoor tables as well. A very unique place. Try and get there before noon so you can partake in the singing of the national anthem (it is pretty cool). We always try to stop at a Mission BBQ on our travels. We normally enjoy the food and atmosphere. I ordered the rib steak with a sweet glaze on the side. My steak was extremely chewy , tough to cut. I was offered something else in its place but I kept the steak thinking only part was tough, but the steak was too chewy for me to eat.. Also the problem was the steak was hard to cut with a plastic knife!! No reusable tableware at the restaurant. My dining mate enjoyed his chicken. The yard bird, great as always. Stopped in on opening week and had a wonderful dinner experience. We go the three meat sampler and split it. Place your order at the counter and you have access to all those wonderful bbq sauces to try. They have old bay to sprinkle on their perfectly hand cut fries, as well as specially flavored malt vinegar at the table. The pulled pork, smoked turkey, and beef brisket were all wonderful as well as the bbq beans. The corn bread was sweet and great dipped in the beans and bbq. As a veteran, this place warms my heart. They don't offer a veterans discount per se, but they have a VIP program that you sign up for (for veterans) which will run specials and discounts that way. They ran out of the smoked burgers and replaced one from our order with a brisket which was juicy and flavorful. Theeen, because they knew I was a veteran they brought out brownies with a thank note. Like I said this place warms my heart and feels so welcoming. They have mementos from all branches of service decorating the place floor to ceiling and a slide show that plays on the screens and it's just wonderful to look around and see so many tributes to service members while you eat. I went there today for lunch and struggled through my meal. Not because of anything wrong with the food/restaurant, but a personal issue. This was a favorite place to eat of mine and my brothers and we went there frequently. He died last November and this was the first time I had been back to the restaurant since then. I thought it would be ok. I was really craving some good bbq, but it might have been too soon. I was trying not to cry, but couldn't help myself. There was a very sweet young man going around the dining room checking on people and he came and checked on me and could see that I was not ok. A few minutes later he came back with a little cheesecake dessert "on the house". He came back a few times to check on me/take away my tray/offered to get me a refill on my drink. I have ate here several times and the BBQ is a solid 8. The pulled pork Carolina style sandwich and the sliced brisket sandwich is my go to when my wife and I go there to eat. I've had order a few ribs to try them, the meat is fall off the bone tender, if you like your ribs that way. The fries and Mac and cheese are a nice addition to any sandwich.
