A friend and I tried Mission BBQ for the first time not too long ago. Firstly, the atmosphere is absolutely AMAZING! It's all focused on those who have served our country. The food was delicious and it made choosing a protein and sides difficult, so we'll just have to return soon for the great service and excellent food choices. Also, since it was our first time, we were brought a super dessert to the table and it was definitely worth writing home about!

My first visit here. I really enjoyed it. I loved the way it is decorated. It is dedicated to first responders and veterans. They have a donation system, where you can donate a picture or patch from the first responder or veteran in your life. Which is super cool! The prices were very reasonable, and the portions substantial. We split a 3 meat sampler plate, and couldn't finish it all. It was a great way to try a little of a lot of food choices. We tried brisket, ribs, and chicken. I enjoyed them all a lot. We also tried their fries, which were ok, and their Mac and cheese, which was yummo! You order in the back, and then choose your seat. They called our name in like 2-3 minutes. Hot, delicious, and for 2 people we spend 40.00 with Tip. We will definitely go back, and bring some friends. We couldn't stop talking about it. Finding good food in this area is hit or miss. This was a nice win! I really love how their restaurant theme had purpose, and not just a cute kitschy vibe. Very family oriented.

From the very beginning, Nicole and her team were responsive, attentive, and diligent in answering all of our questions. Our hospital hosts an annual employee picnic on the rooftop of our parking garage, and we needed a caterer capable of serving a large number of staff members across multiple shifts while accommodating various dietary restrictions. Nicole and Darin confidently assured our event council that they could meet those needs, and they delivered on every promise. They even provided food samples for our team to try and carefully took notes throughout the planning process to ensure every detail was covered. On the day of the event, the team performed exceptionally well, quickly adapting when additional food was needed for our first shift. Their flexibility and professionalism ensured that every employee was served and satisfied. On June 10, 2026, Mission BBQ successfully served more than 1,800 meals at our main event. The feedback from our staff was overwhelmingly positive, with many people raving about the quality of the food and service. In addition, Mission BBQ catered for all 24 of our off-site locations over a two-week period, delivering and setting up self-service catering at each site. They also provided on-site catering for our Highland Family Medicine location, serving approximately 200 people. I cannot say enough about the extraordinary job Mission BBQ did. Their attention to detail, organization, customer service, and ability to execute large-scale events were truly impressive. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional catering services. We look forward to working with them again for future employee events and picnics.

Good BBQ for the price. I came here Sunday evening around 5:30pm for dinner. The restaurant has cool indoor decor and regular table and booth seating. Ordering was at the back of the room, and food came out just 2-3 minutes after ordering. It's a self serve so I picked up food then pick table I want. They have outdoor tables as well. Restaurant is clean and staffs are friendly. Out of 3 meat I got, pull pork, sausage, brisket, the pull pork was better. Brisket was a bit dry and I had to cut the outside since they all burn and bitter. For the price, it's decent place if you want quick BBQ meal

Mission. BBQ is amazing, when you walk in you can tell you are in a place that welcomes people. The counter is not fast food, but quick service- friendly, efficient and responsive to any and all needs or questions... a bonus word of advice- every piece of smoked meat is amazing- but don't sleep on the Smoked Cheeseburger. From the soft bun to the slight smoke flavor to juicy center- this is my new Go to at Mission.. A palace not to miss!!

A very unique place. Try and get there before noon so you can partake in the singing of the national anthem (it is pretty cool). They shut service for about 5 minutes to do this but it's very heartwarming. Lots of veterans and stories told. Food is great as long as you like smoked meats. Pictured are the garden salad with pulled chicken and the pulled chicken entree with greens and beans. Inside is fully decorated in service member photos and various first responder patches. Worth the trip.

Pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese, Coleslaw

My coworker and I ordered takeout because we both wanted to finally try this place. The mac n cheese was alright, I'd say chik fil a has them beat which was disappointing. Coleslaw was good. Pulled pork sandwich was okay, it was mostly a good vessel to try all of their sauces. And the cornbread was nothing special. I would say this is a good fast food bbq, but compared to something like Dinosaur BBQ, it stands no chance. It's pretty pricey for what you get. The quality is just not matching the price. Service is really nice, I do love what they stand for, but I don't see myself returning because of the prices. Ambiance is nice, love the decor and the vibes inside. Just wish the prices were lower or the food tasted way better.

It was 15 min for the food to come out, but it was hot and fresh! I had to let it cool down before I could take a real bite. It was excellent! And I loved the pickled radish too! Sadly no one else came in to eat while we were there. There were a couple people that came in for pick up orders. I hope people will support this business so it stays open. I would come back but would order ahead so I didn't have to wait for the food.

The welcome committee appears to consist of cleaning utensils casually staged on the stairs leading to upstairs seating--because nothing says "we're ready for guests" like a mop-and-bucket obstacle course greeting you at the door. Inside, the vibe is best described as "dimly lit and emotionally uninvested." Less atmosphere, more "we forgot this place was open today." Service takes the concept of "self-serve" to an artistic level. The bartender acknowledged us briefly--just long enough to confirm we existed--before immediately resuming whatever bar-related priorities were clearly more important than customers. Meanwhile, several people ahead of us were openly discussing their 10+ minute wait with no movement toward actually being served. After a while, it became clear we were not waiting for service so much as participating in a passive endurance experiment. Eventually, we chose the only winning move: leaving. Honestly, the most efficient part of the entire visit was the exit. I'm still not entirely sure how a place with this level of disorganization manages to stay open, but I do wish them luck--preferably while we're eating somewhere else.

You would think that a restaurant who only does take out would have a better presentation in its to go containers. My husband ordered a 2 meat 2 side plate and both his sides were essentially combined, as were his meats. His container was on the top in the oversized bag on top of a container with a potato and then a container with a sandwich at the bottom. Stacked completely out of weight order. His had also leaked all over everything else so it was a mess. The food itself was just OK. The best item was the cow boy baked potato. The side of corn tasted fresh out of a can, not sure how it's "Cajun". The beans (now mixed with corn) had a nice flavor and probably would have been really great by themselves. My husband didn't eat much of his chopped brisket so that must have not been tasty. He did eat all the chicken. My pulled pork sandwich was really lacking on the amount of meat. I ending up eating it open face because there was way too much bread for the tiny smear of pork. My daughter liked the Mac n cheese and she's picky. If I ever come back it will probably only be for a potato.

I inquired if they served any of their meats a la carte so I don't stuff myself before hitting the next truck. Unfortunately they don't, however the staff member was more than happy to let me sample pieces of their pulled pork and brisket before deciding. Both of these meats were awesome but lacked the heavy smokey flavor I was looking for directly. No worries, because they were still so good that I opted for the Connor Plate knowing well that I couldn't finish it all. For $12 the Connor Plate was a heaping portion of meat, mac salad, corn and beans. The mac salad was not too heavy on the mustard and mayo (perfect!) and the bean medley was sweet and abundant. The barbecue sauce was added the savory and smokey flavor I wanted but was also sweet. The whole pallet of the dish is a little too sweet for me but for everyone else, this dish is still a solid choice! I think they might have other sauce options (hopefully something spicy), so I look forward to checking them out again and pigging out!
