Just a part of my wife's puzzle collection!
    Mike T.

I gave the Puzzle Exchange two stars solely for past good experiences. My wife is an inveterate puzzle worker who is very good at at it, mainly because it is her passion. We have made the 70 mile trip to Denver many times over many years past, always happy with not only the trip, but coming home with a treasure trove of puzzles from their smallish building with a huge selection. With our last trip, this all changed. We left with a bitter feeling about the place, and a promise to never return. We had taken 30 puzzles down to exchange. When the owner looked at these puzzles in our car outside, she figured a bit then offered fifty dollars for all of her puzzles in (literally) like-new condition. As the bystander in the operation I said nothing, but quickly figured that the lady was about to make out like a bandit. My shy wife, not used to barter or haggling said "OK", much to her regret later on. Had I been a little more on the ball, I would have said "We'll take one hundred", but I didn't. The fifty dollars, when exchanged for puzzles, translated to a paltry few, especially since the prices for even average used puzzles now seem to start at twenty dollars and soar from there. The Missing Piece Puzzle Exchange is now missing two loyal customers who will never be back. This operation is now a greedy, one-sided deal, definitely not in favor of the customer. Buyer beware!

The amount of one stars for this place is stupid. So I'm adding a review to help the guys out…read more It's one of my favorite shops and absolutely has the best singles selection and order process. I have shopped at so many card shops, and I'm gonna give my opinion on it. More than likely you are not going to be greeted like you just walked into a corporate retailer that has the "six feet rule." There are some outliers and shop owners and employees that are super engaging and chatty. But like 9 out of 10 times in card shops it's usually a quiet not in the mood to chit chat kinda vibe. Most everyone just says hello when ya walk in. I've personally had some good conversations with the guys who work here. But at the end of the day, not everyone plays the same TCG runs the same colors/strats or knows every card ever created among like 10 major games. Do your fuckin homework before you pull up. There are literally endless amounts of internet resources. Now to the important stuff. I really love the way you order singles, you literally text them your order. They reply when it's done and give you pre tax price. Shop is clean and organized and they have crazy old sets. I play MTG so it's a mecca to me. They pretty much have whatever I order and the cards are in good condition. You also get free packs after you buy a certain amount of cards which is rad. It's literally a reward for "just buying singles" You gotta pop into this shop if you play TCGs. Its a really good one.

I've come in twice and left both times with a bad taste the staff doesn't seem like they want to be…read morethere.

Definitely the worst Michaels location I've ever been to. Firstly, I went to this store to pick up…read morea frame. When I got home I realized that the frame was cracked, chipped, and wasn't even in any original packaging (found this out once I went to a different location to return it). The inside sheet with the sizing was all crumpled up like it had been returned before. Then I needed to order a mat for the frame. This is probably the most irritating thing I've ever had to do. Whoever works in framing is so slow, only talked in questions, has no clue what she is doing, and talks rudely. I'm pretty dumfounded that someone like that can even work there. When I ordered the mat it was as if she had no clue how to do anything or even know what mats they had. "I think we have these, I think it's this price" etc. It took a whopping 30-45 minutes just for her to make this order and give me the receipt. Should have taken not even 5 minutes because I knew what I wanted. When I went to pick up the mat, she couldn't find it, proceeded to ask me "is this one the right one?", like how am I supposed to know. For her to just say "well I think this might be it so here you go". When opening the order herself, she asked me "Can't you help!" all snarky, backhanded, and rude. Like what do you mean, this is your job, and how do you think you can talk to a customer like that? Get home to find out it is either the incorrect order or made incorrectly. It's for a 24 x 36 inch frame and is literally cut larger than that. I repeatedly said it needed to be 24 x 36 inches, for it be cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger on each side. How hard is it to cut 2 feet by 3 feet? How hard is it to label an order with a name or even just an order number? I then had to call 5 times just to be connected to framing because they kept denying the transfers. At least they are remaking it, crossing my fingers I'll actually get what I ordered. Will definitely NEVER be going back to this location. I debated on not even trying to go there again for the remake and going to a different location, so we'll see how this continues. Extremely disappointed.
