Matcha Thomas - Elderflower matcha latte

Matcha Thomas

Yes Yes Yes Yes…read more This place is in fact not overhyped. As an avid matcha enthusiast, I have to say, I'm shocked yet so satisfied. I'm usually disappointed by more matcha or coffee shops than usual however State Thomas has proved me wrong. First off this place is so simple, chic and aesthetic. I love the long tables that allow for bigger groups and just a collaborative family like setting. On both sides of the windows, there's also seating available too which is appreciated. The cute notepad wall filled with positive affirmations and sayings are such a sweet touch especially during the holiday season. The fact that you are able to choose your sweetness is one of the most simplest yet thoughtful things shops that sell matcha can do. It''s really customer centric which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha thomas with oat milk and 100% sweetness. The drink had the perfect color, has notes of coconut and vanilla and although it was 100% sweetness it was still subtle. There has to be some type of coconut cream or milk given the flavor and texture and its sooo yummy and refreshing. If you are in the Beacon area and like matcha, please don't hesistate to try this place out!

You can tell that they make their bobas at the place; they have a delicious texture unlike other boba places I could get a cup full of them. They have a spacious inside especially for beacon thank God lol. They have a space inside that's Japanese style seating with pillows on the ground and a low table, some games, books, and a projector playing movies. Just wish they sold food!

I stopped in during a walk down Main Street and immediately loved the vibe. The space has that minimalist-yet-cozy aesthetic: clean lines, soft natural light, and the comforting smell of freshly roasted coffee beans in the air. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel like you could sit for hours and unwind. I ordered the lavender latte, and it was perfection. Smooth espresso, just the right touch of floral sweetness -- not overpowering, just beautifully balanced. It's officially my go-to whenever I'm in town. The staff was super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better. Between the atmosphere, quality coffee, and the charm of Beacon itself, Big Mouth has easily become one of my favorite stops in the Hudson Valley.

I got the Iced Vanilla Latte which was fine and did the job. The espresso was extracted well, it was bold, and not overly intense. The vanilla was barely palpable as I didn't taste that sweetness I was looking for. I'd probably stick to some classic menu items rather than anything with an add-on. Decent try!

Asahi was the perfect place equipped and ready to make us happy with exactly what we wanted. From Thai tea to taro, this place serves up the classics plus their very own fruity and fun specials which is what I ended up going for. I couldn't resist their beautiful seasonal purple drink with lemon and pea flower with little surprise bursts of flavor lychee boba. It was delicious, refreshing and so good!! When ordering milk tea, I always do slightly less sweet and less ice. For this one I kept the sweetness as it was and did less ice which I totally should've known not to since it was for sure one of the hottest days and it quickly melted away. I will say, since the boba bursts with lychee sweetness, I could've for sure gone down a bit on the sweetness level. Other than that, it was delish! Love that you can order ahead online or order from their DIY order station. Can't wait to try their bowls next time, everything looked so fresh and refreshing for a nice and hot day!

It's clearly family run and the woman who served us was so lovely. The food was incredibly fresh. It was so tasty. We came out very satisfied. The Turkish breakfast is essentially a smorgasbord of various foods. There's cheese there's nuts there's dried fruit. There's fresh fruit. There's cucumber and tomato salad, there's sausage, there's olives, there's bread, there's butter with honey, tahini with molasses, jam, and there's eggs. We got the eggs in the traditional style, which is mixed with peppers and tomatoes. And it was absolutely delicious. Overall, loved this place and would absolutely come back.

My friends and I got the kofta platter and Turkish breakfast with the menemen, which was this interesting tomato and egg dish that was very soft and mildly sweet. The kofta beef meatballs were nice and savory, perfectly paired with the rice and salad. The Turkish breakfast is primarily a lot of cheeses with sauces and small bites with a bread basket - would only recommend if you like different kinds of cheeses and since it is very light on its own it would prob be best to order something in addition to it. My friends and I also tried the salep tea which was this traditional Turkish drink that is very thick and creamy, has a very unique texture with a sweet flavor and cinnamon garnish.
