They asked him to send a few pictures, immediately diagnosed the issue, and texted him a short video showing exactly how to reset it. A few minutes later, we had hot water again. That's what great companies do. They're prepared, they know their craft inside and out, and they make solving problems look easy. If you need a water heater, I honestly wouldn't call anyone else. Unfortunately, the Rheem technician I reached out to from that list did not respond to my inquiries. I have had great luck with businesses on Yelp that received a large number of favorable reviews over a long period of time. For that reason, I decided to contact Fast Plumbing 247. I was fortunate to speak with a plumber named Mac, who returned my call within a matter of minutes. He requested that I send him photographs of the water heater's model number and the unit itself. After reviewing the images, Matt promptly called me back and provided clear, step-by-step instructions on how to restore the water heater to working order. Remarkably, his guidance proved effective, and I was able to resolve the issue. Once again, the unit has hot water. What truly stood out during my interaction with Mac was not only his willingness to share his technical knowledge but also his remarkable patience. I struggle with even simple tasks of this nature, and Mac's calm demeanor made the process significantly easier. He meticulously explained how to remove the guard to access the pilot light window, advised me on the best positioning to view this awkwardly placed window, and guided me through the steps to relight the pilot light and restore the water heater's functionality. Thanks to Matt's expertise, I am able to enjoy the holiday weekend without further complications. Because of MY scheduling conflicts, he was the LAST of three quotes I received. But as the saying goes.. "save the best for last". That statement couldn't me more true. I was lucky enough to watch him work and actually TEST what was going on BEFORE telling me how bad of a problem we had. The other two quotes I received saw the problem, tested nothing, and said they needed to excavate and because of that, the price was going to be way more. Their process was..."break the concrete, THEN rod the pipe to see if there's a clog", which would also be an all day job with a team. Andres insisted on rodding the pipe first, and that he'd be done in 20 minutes. He said IF that didn't work, (because he was going to test it again), THEN he would have to break open the concrete. I don't know about you, but that seems like a much more sensible option. He let me watch as he pulled all kinds of debris out of our kitchen stack drain. By the end, he had a nice sized pile, and water was flowing through there like Niagara Falls. He was done in 20 mins, as promised. Since he was there, I asked him if he had time to check our tenant's unit because they were having some drainage issues. He said he was trying to avoid rush hour, so why not? Lucky for us, he fixed another clogged drain, and a leaking pipe that we had no idea about! While we were talking, I asked him if he has a team he works with. His response: "No, I work alone because I don't trust other people to do good work and do it right". He also cleaned up after himself (you'd be surprised, but this is not always the case when people come work in your home), and I insisted on cleaning so he could leave, but he refused. He'll be back soon for some more work and I'm thankful to know we'll be in good hands. The world seriously needs more people like Andres. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We hired J Sewer & Drain to install a new catch basin in September 2025 after the wall of our old…read moreone collapsed. The quoting process and installation initially went smoothly. A couple of weeks later, we noticed the soil around the catch basin beginning to sink. Over time, the settling worsened to the point where part of the catch basin wall and some of our foundation became visible, which was understandably concerning. Communication was slow at first, and it took some persistence to get follow-up. Eventually, J Sewer & Drain did come out to inspect the catch basin. After their evaluation, they indicated that the installation itself appears to be sound and that the settling is likely due to soil compaction issues rather than a structural problem with the basin. Since the inspection, things seem to be stable and okay. While the situation was stressful and the communication gap was frustrating, I do appreciate that they ultimately came out to assess the issue and explain their findings. Thank you!

The first time the technician (Steve) came out, he wasn't able to do anything due to my building's roof drain being clogged and the roof was basically flooded. He sent me a video so I was able to send it to our maintenance people and have them come fix that issue. After the roof was no longer a swimming pool, Steve came back out a week later and presumably did everything that was needed -- all seems to be working well, and he answered a couple of my questions and gave me an estimate for an ambient kit in case I want to run the unit when it's below 60 degrees outside (my condo gets really hot and retains heat). Overall, great customer service, super nice people. I'll continue to use them for my AC needs.

It's been a while (2022), but they came out to look at a leak with one of our water heaters. They…read morefound multiple issues and said the equipment was too old and they needed to replace both of them. They quoted us $5k and some additional cost to check the HVAC while they were there. The HVAC check seemed like everything was fine, but they used it as a sales op to try and sell me new furnace and humidifier, which was working fine at the time (and continues to function 4 years later). Thankfully their 1-year VIP service was the most valuable part of it, because one of the joins for the new water heaters started leaking again almost 12 months later. However, when they came out, they couldn't get the water main to close in our unit, so they quoted me to replace it as an additional cost instead. We said no, and gradually loosened the water main valve to the point where we could get it to close. We believe it was debris from the water main for the building being shut off multiple times for other work recently. Once we resolved that issue, we were able to get them to actually repair their failing original work at no cost. Not sure I would recommend.
