They communicate very well and are gentle with cleanings. The parking is easy. Scheduling is also pretty easy. My oral health improved significantly since starting with Dr. Kodey and her team, with way less cavities. The office is clean and cozy. Just be mindful that all positive google/yelp reviews are for Dr. Kodey. On my four visits I never get to meet Dr. Kodey although I made appointment for her and asked for her. I didn't have any positive experiences with any staffs in here. Recipients are rude and dental hygienist is un-professional. She contradicts her own statements in every meetings. I went to this place because my friend suggested me and they spoke highly of Dr. Kodey. I made an appointment for Dr. Kodey, however a dental hygienist attended me. She wouldn't even explained me what she was going to do on the first day. She pulled out her tools and said turn this side and when I asked "what are we doing today", she then said "oh x-ray". She finished x-ray and asked me "do you want to wear your glasses or ours"; I again had to ask for what. Then only she said "we are doing cleaning today". She asked me to come for deep cleaning next. When I asked many questions on why this why that, then she briefly called Dr. (NOT KODEY), who didn't even look x-ray that carefully but said oh you have to. At first I see surprise on her face, as if why would I need deep cleaning, but of course she couldn't deny her own employee. I should have seen red flag then. I went for deep cleaning (deep pocketing for them), again hygienist did it not Dr Kodey. She said I have to come for cleaning every two months and so. I started asking that insurance wouldn't cover then she said may be four months should be fine. (Of course finding reasons to get money, not necessarily needed) My worst experience with them was when I had an appointment, early this year; I got covid. My appointment was at 3 pm and I tested positive for Covid that morning. I was in 103 fever with difficulty to breathe; still remembered to call them to reschedule my appointment. Receptionist said I should have called two days earlier to cancel the appointment; as if I should have known I am catching covid. Then she rudely said she can't reschedule now whenever I am "ready" to make an appointment, call them. NOT ONLY NO EMPATHY but so rude when she can clearly tell from my voice I wasn't well. At least have a good customer service. I regret going there after my horrible first day experience. Parking is horrible; making appointments is terrible. I talked to my friends, they also mentioned that in their over 5 yrs of visiting this place, Dr. Kodey doesn't attend them anymore. They have to reschedule their scheduled appointments so that they can see Dr. Kodey and they would intentionally say Dr. Kodey isn't available for couple of months so friend has to see hygienist if they want quick appointment. And they didn't like hygienists. Reason I am writing this review after months, I get automated texts about delayed appointments. They don't even bother to call me to check if I want appointment. I had a really bad experience at Miramonte Dental. Everything was fine for a few years when I had simple procedures like cleanings and fillings. In Nov 2019 I had a major procedure - replacement of a bridge with implants. As a part of that Dr.Kodey cut the bridge and sent me to an external provider for CT scan. She urged me to do it very quickly because the remaining part of bridge was hanging on just one supporting tooth making it easy to break the tooth accidentally. She told me that we have to continue within days and asked me to be extremally careful not to apply any pressure on the bridge. I did the scan the same day and on the next day the results were ready. But I have not heard anything from Dr.Kodey for the next 3 weeks! I called the office, left voicemails, sent emails - basically no response. The receptionist just told me that they will contact me. Eventually Dr.Kodey called me and said they have no software to check the CT images. This really surprised me because the CT images included the software. I was able to see the images and the other dentist had no problem checking all images with the software tool attached to the images. 2 weeks later (5 weeks after the bridge was cut) I've got another call from Dr.Kodey. She informed me she finally checked the images and we could proceed further with the treatments. By that time I've already switched to another dentist who was able to complete the procedure promptly. read more

Every visit to the office was a great experience (shout it out to Arianna for the reception work). They help my mother do two deep cleaning during her visit to US, and since then my mother never experienced any bleeding issue. After I got married, I recommended Dr. Kodey to my wife. After moving to the Bay Area, I had some trouble finding a dentist that I liked and knew what they were doing. In addition, treating patients with warmth and respect is important to me. I loved my dentist back home and his shoes were going to be hard to fill. From the first call to Miramonte Dental Care, I felt comfortable. Rachel, who made my appointment, was super nice and helpful. She didn't rush me and took all my info and listened to my concerns. Luckily, they did have an open spot for this morning. Upon arrival, Rachel was there to greet me with a smile. She even knew my name before I said it. This kind of touch is very impressive to me. Even taking my x-rays (which is the thing I hate most) was done ease since Rachel is very patient and understanding. She has a good way of talking you through your tension. My new dentist (YES! I FOUND A GREAT ONE!!!) Jesse Dhaliwal goes by Dr. Jesse. She is friendly, hears you out, has a gentle touch and really knows her stuff! Honestly, she looks more like a Bollywood star but hey, brains and beauty=pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to continuing my dental care here and will transfer my husbands care to Miramonte Dental Care as well. The office is very modern and clean. Great location and plenty of parking. I visited Miramonte Dental recently. Dr. Kodey recommended many unnecessary procedures and said I had to replace multiple fillings. She insisted very strongly that these fillings are very bad and leaking and you must get it done asap. I was surprised because my previous dentist never mentioned anything. I decided to have a second opinion with a different dentist, and that dentist said my fillings are all good. No leaking or cracking that Dr. Kodey mentioned. Dr Kodey is a wonderful dentist. I had to replace my bridge (crown) after 12 years of use. So I started by calling around. My current dentist kept giving me a lot of pressure so I don't feel too comfortable with them. I was a little worry before I go. It was hard when I got it done the first time. I went in to have my sore mouth looked at after wearing a horrible night guard made by Soothing Dental. The office staff at Miramonte were friendly and patient with me as I completed all the forms. Dr. Kodey is one of those dentists who inspires confidence. She just replaced a filling for me, and the entire procedure was smooth and pain-free. While I have only seen her twice, I already feel like I can recommend her. Here is why: 1. She is incredibly skilled and focused. She worked carefully and efficiently, and not once did I feel any pain. I had been a little nervous about whether or not the procedure would work, or whether it would be painful, and I was really amazed at just how smooth she made it. 2. She is highly communicative. I am one of those patients who wants to know the reasoning behind a care plan, and I have little tolerance for health care providers who don't help their patients understand what needs to be done. After putting off dental visits for a couple of years, I decided to search for a new dentist in the Bay Area. I read plenty of reviews on Yelp, Google, Facebook and elsewhere. Eventually, I decided upon Dr. Kodey and Miramonte Dental. I am so glad that I did! Dr. Kodey and her staff are amazing! Like many people, I have an aversion to pain -- and tooth pain sits right atop my list of "worst pain ever!" Dr. Kodey was patient and very helpful. In fact, it seems like she employs the latest techniques and procedures to avoid pain or discomfort. I truly appreciated the superb work from this dental practice. To be clear: I felt relaxed at Miramonte Dental. This is something that I never thought that I would say about visiting a dentist! Unfortunately, I changed insurance plans last year. I didn't really care for my experience with Miramonte Dental. I went in for my 6 month check up. They took some xrays and then the Dr came in to talk to me and go over the xrays and pointed out a few cavities that I had. The assistant come in and polished my teeth. I thought that was a little odd, I've never had my teeth polished first. After the polish the receptionist came in and went over my estimate for cleaning my teeth and filling the cavities. My insurance was fairly new and I didn't't know that the actual cleaning of my teeth wasn't covered. So since I didn't quite understand and the receptionist didn't explain it very well to me, I didn' t have my teeth cleaned. It may have been different if they had this explained to me before I started having my teeth worked on. The dental assistant wasn't very good with polishing the teeth, she seemed like she was new. And the biggest disappointment of all was that the Dr never came back in to say any thing to me. I thought that was a little rude. I felt like because didn't get the cleaning done she didn't want to deal with me any more? I'll be going elsewhere for my next check up. read more

Save the hour that I spent :) SPECS: -Cigna dental ppo approved and I am pretty sure they take the majority of insurances -prices are very reasonable -discounts on cash payments -new technology and the office seems to be newly renovated -very professional, yet extremely friendly service. -Open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday!! Yey:) Experience- I called on a Tuesday and made an appointment for the next day wi no problems. I told them I had a horrible dental history- I am talking the works(cavities, root canals....you name it) and would probably need a good chunk of time to get a cleaning,X-rays,and most likely fillings. The receptionist cleared a huge chunk of time for me,no questions asked. The next day, I go in and am warmly greeted, fill out w typical paperwork, am shown to the room, and then meet the amazing duo! Dr. Kody and her dental hygienist Beatrice were so sweet. They took my x-rays(they do digital ones, which are much quicker and don't consist of you choking/biting down on a huge panel) and then explained what was going on, showed me the breakdown of cost(to make sure I was okay with everything), and then started! Everything was quick and painless-procedure, payment, and she is a gem to talk to- super interesting and sweet woman with some great stories:) Oh! She shows you a picture of the area she works on, then shows you the completed work as well. AND she has the brand new oral b electric brush that is sold at COSTCO for 180, BUT she is only selling it for 100!! Overall, my experience was great and I am really glad I found her. Thanks to Yelp and some other searching, I found Dr. Kodey and was not disappointed! The office environment is very pleasant, from the moment you walk in. Clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. I felt like I was important and not just another patient in their busy day. Very fast, professional and empathetic dentist, assistant and receptionist. Dr. Kody replaced 3 metal fillings with white ones in an hour. For real. Dr. Kody and her assistant Anna are a well-oiled machine. I was expecting this would take a half-day off work, but it really was only an hour like they had scheduled. Also, they had a blanket and some Bose noise-cancelling headphones I could use to stay comfortable while she did the numbing. Happy to have found Dr. Kodey's office. I first found Dr. Kodey through my dental insurance and then checked reviews online. Sharing my positive experience here since this is where I gathered my info and ultimately made the decision to book with this dental office. Quick background: Growing up I always went to the dentist every 6 months. The last several years I've moved quite a bit and now realize how disruptive that can be for finding your new doctors, hair stylists, etc. Until this past month I hadn't been to the dentist in about 2 years....eek! From my first phone call to then end of my second visit ,Dr. Kodey and her entire team were absolutely wonderful. 1- The woman at the front desk was thorough with scheduling and making sure my insurance covered my visit before arriving. I appreciated her thoroughness. 2- The hygienist cleaning my teeth was kind and did a great job cleaning my teeth. 3- Dr. Kodey took the time to answer my questions, educate me on my concerns, and showed me the one cavity I developed some time over the last 2 years. 4- Scheduling my follow-up appointment for the cavity was a breeze and the woman at the front even followed up with a sooner appointment as we had discussed. Often this is an empty promise, but not here. Thank you! 5- Day of cavity I was a bit nervous. Dr. Kodey assured me that it was an easy cavity and it wouldn't be a problem. Her hygienist answered my questions and kept my anxiety away while the numbing agent kicked in. Dr. Kodey showed me pictures of before, during and after cavity, which was super helpful (and interesting!) to see. She also explained that I might have some sensitivity for a few days after the filling, but I've had ZERO sensitivity and it's been about a week since getting the filling. I couldn't be happier! I came in with a fairly complex and sensitive case. I had an implant on my front tooth and needed to have the final crown placed and matched to my other front tooth. Needless to say, I was concerned about my smile given the work had to be done where your teeth are most exposed. I was also coming in with a lot of 'emotional baggage' from everything I had already gone through having to pull my front tooth out. From the moment I walked in, Dr. Kody's office (the receptionist, the assistant and Dr. Kody) were warm welcoming and sensitive to my situation. I was on a very tight schedule and needed the work done in 10 days. Dr. Kody re-arranged her schedule and came in outside of her office hours and even came in on her day off - only to be able to accommodate my schedule and get my front teeth done in time for my travels. Not only is she warm and accommodating, she's truly skilled. She was able to give me a flawless look with a perfectly matching veneer on the tooth next to the implant/crown, and I am so pleased with the results. I am a perfectionist and she exceeded my expectations and made the journey so comfortable. I love my teeth! I highly recommend Dr. Kody and their office - not only for their expertise but because they're so genuinely human and sensitive to YOUR sensitivities. At my previous checkup Dr. Kodey noticed that one of my rear molars had an unusual tint and identified it as a likely issue where the tooth enamel was being resorbed and becoming thin. She said it would likely be ok for awhile but would eventually require a root canal to save the tooth. Four months later I'm biting down on a crisply toasted bagel when I suddenly feel a jagged edge in my mouth. The compromised tooth had collapsed. Fortunately, the nerve was not impacted - no pain, not much blood. I called and got an appointment the same day to have the situation evaluated - Dr. Kodey confirmed that it was the compromised tooth that had failed, filed down the rough edges so I wouldn't impale my tongue, and gave me a referral to an endodontist. Efficient, effective, and professional. Sadly, I will not be able to stay with Dr. Koday past February 2016, as her office is ending its alliance with Kaiser's dental plan Jan 31, 2016. read more

I just signed up for Yelp to give Dr. Kodey a good review. It was that awesome. I skipped the dentist for about 4-5 years, then came in with a ton of work to be done. Dr. Kodey walks you through exactly what she's doing and why, deals with your insurance marvelously, and numbs the shit out of your mouth before drilling. The office is clean, quiet and pleasant. In terms of new facilities this place is very nice. It's always great to see a beautiful office that is clean. I came for a regular cleaning. I have never had a cavity in my life and I came to Dr. Kodey for a check-up since I was new to the area. At first I was impressed that Dr. Kodey came in and saw me right away and was going to do my cleaning. She immediately took a look at my teeth and gasped. 'Who was your last dentist?!' She took several pictures and showed me dark brown spots in the grooves of my molars. I wasn't shocked since I've always had those and all of my dentists before have told me that different people have different teeth. It was a minor issue that did not indicate cavity formation in the long term. Dr. Kodey explained to me in great detail in several scientific terms in which I had to have several fillings done. I was pretty calm about the situation even though she clearly seemed forceful in wanting me to agree with her. To sum up what she was really saying: I had very minor indications that I might get cavities several years down the line and she wanted me to get fillings right now in the present as a preventative measure for something that might not actually become worse. Of course she didn't say it like that at all, she made it seem like all my teeth were falling out and I had to get it done immediately. When it finally came to the cleaning part, she pulled out some UV cleaning device that I had never seen before. She failed to tell me she was going to charge me an extra $80 on top of my regular cleaning fees for using this tool. However, by this point I realized something about this place was fishy me so I asked her how much it would cost to use it. I pressed her to admit that I actually didn't need it for my teeth. After this point, I had the worst cleaning in my entire life. All they did was floss my teeth (which I can do at home), do a mild polish, give me mouthwash. I have always had my dentists use a pick or other devices to remove any formation of plaque. I obviously decided not to go back and found another dentist similar to the ones I've had previously. It's been over a year since this experience and my teeth are doing just fine :) read more

We highly recommend Miramonte Dental and Dr. Kodey. She's been our dentist for about a year now and we're extremely satisfied. We've had a range of appointments from standard cleanings/exams to more substantial procedures, and we've been pleased with the results each time. Dr. Kodey and her small team are very friendly and always make our appointments about as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be! When I first went to Miramonte Dental, I had stupidly procrastinated getting an important procedure until I was only a week from a mandatory switch down to a less extensive dental plan. I am 24, and I never in my life had seen a dentist. On the first appointment, Dr. Koday determined that I had 9 cavities. It was very scary at first, but Dr. Koday explained me what they will be doing with those cavities. I felt very comfortable after Dr. Koday told me about the whole process. I had to schedule 3 appointments to fill up 9 cavities. All three appointments were almost painless, and my mouth was numb for only an hour after the fillings. Let me start by saying that visiting dentists is not one of my favorite things to do. We moved to Sunnyvale area last April from San Francisco and in the throws of settling into a new location ignored the dentist. It is through Yelp that we discovered Dr. Kodey. She and her staff are great all around - great dental care and advice, friendly and professional atmosphere. Dr. Kodey first helped with my mom who is 76, visiting form India.She had a fall which resulted in some dental work being needed. Dr. Kodey was fantastic and that experience led my wife and me to sign up with her. Since then I have fully caught up with the time lost given the move. Her work is high quality, she focuses on patient comfort during the procedure and provides options/discusses choices with the patient.
