I called Smiles Dental about a week ago and spoke to Rhina…read more I was in a bit of a bind because I needed some dental work done, but it was so close to the end of the year and not sure if I could get it done. Rhina was awesome - she was so helpful looking up my insurance, finding me appointments and fitting me in so that my appts could be done before year end. She went above and beyond!! When I had my first appointment I saw Dr Erdogan. Also really positive impression with her professionalism and interaction. She explained her assessment of what she thought I needed, and I was able to schedule my appointment the next week. Throughout the appointment, Dr Erdogan was awesome - explaining every step of the process and always checking into make sure I was ok. Her assistant, Maricel? Was also really good. Of course it's never fun for me to have dental work, Dr Erdogan made it comfortable and put me at ease. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, the front desk experience is the complete opposite. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and showed absolutely no customer service skills. When I tried to explain the reason for our visit, the two women at the front desk responded with an attitude, basically: "What? Who are you talking to?" It made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. It's a shame because the doctors are good, but the way patients are treated at the front desk completely ruins the experience. This is the only reason I cannot give this place more than one star. Management, please pay attention to how your front desk staff communicates with patients. Professionalism and basic courtesy matter.

I've had only 3 dentists in my life, but I know for sure that she is the one with whom I feel most comfortable. I have gone to her office for the last 12 years or so. Dr. Irvine is super friendly; so friendly she is my wife's friend now. The first time I went to her office, I probably had about 20+ cavities, a couple of chipped teeth, 1 missing tooth, and 4 impacting wisdom teeth. It was a mess. Courteously, she said that my teeth were not too bad. She did some regular cleaning and made a schedule for me, based on what I can afford each year. She keeps me in the loop with how my teeth are and how far the progress had been, every time she does her routine. Over the next few years she took care of my teeth, and now I feel confident with my appearance. It is also worth mentioning that all of her staff members are very courteous and friendly. I alway feel comfortable when she is working on my teeth. As a child I alway felt a pinch when getting a shot. When Dr Irvine gives me anesthetic I usually feel nothing. She has skills. I would like to share one part of my experience honestly, in the hope that it helps improve communication for future patients. I had a personal preference to preserve the outside shape of my tooth and only have shaping done inside before placing the crown. Unfortunately, I didn't clearly discuss this beforehand, and because it was late, more of the tooth had to be shaved than I expected. I felt quite emotional at that moment and became upset. I really appreciated the kindness and support from his technician Diego, who took the time to comfort me and reassure me that the crown would be done well. That meant a lot to me. Overall, I trust the quality of their work and know they aim for the best results. This experience reminded me how important clear communication is, and I believe the team genuinely cares about their patients. At the beginning of the year, I had posted a review elsewhere, Google, covering the gap between my…read morevisits to Dr. Longakit In that review, I stated, due to lack of insurance coverage, finances & a string of bad luck, I had been unable to see Dr. Longakit for several years. Dr. Longakit was both gracious and professional in picking up and taking care of my needs. I forgot to note and post that review here, and I am correcting that omission by briefly covering that review and providing the following update. Update: 7.3.26 Dr. Longakit has been treating me for an infected gum area, the upper right, via antibiotics, which has needed a Root Canal. This Friday, she brought me in to do the actual procedure. I can easily report that she maintained her deft touch and true focus on doing the root canal while dealing with the pus produced by the infection. Although it required additional time and effort, Dr. Longakit was a true professional and ensured she and her very capable assistant dealt with this issue while ensuring my comfort from the get-go. From the numbing agents and anesthesia she provided to her drilling extra carefully to ensure non-breakage of my crown to actually doing the root canal, throughout the procedure, she was both calm, gentle, focused, and extra precise. That was transmitted to me by her body language and demeanor, such that it helped me feel well cared for and fully trust that I was in capable hands. Her follow-up after the procedure was both respectful and so professional that I feel truly grateful and lucky to have her as my dentist. Based on this latest experience, I continue to highly recommend Dr. Longakit as an excellent resource to any and all, and would venture to say they would be both lucky and happy to have her as their chosen dentist, as I am and have covered above.
