Grilled Lobster
Cyara P.

Lets get the good going first. We came here straight from the dock. I saw a man eating a huge lobster and had to have one! We were able to pick the exact lobster we wanted. It was enough to share and we also got ceviche. We enjoyed everything, including the fish tacos and mocktails. Now lets talk about why I took 1 star away... the lobster could've been more flavorful . It was very expensive so I expected it to taste .

When you get of the ferry in Isla Mujeres, there are quite a few restaurants. The entrance to Restaurante Miramar is nice, but not much different than any of the others. What I found outstanding was their outside seating in front of the waterline. The lovely tables are surrounded by hand-carved chairs, decorated with marine life. You sit, facing the beach underneath coconut & palm trees. There is a small pier with an "Isla Mujeres" sign and a bench covered by a fiberglass shark, both of which offer great photo ops. They offer fresh oysters and lobsters as well as other seafood; other items are also available. Service is friendly. Food is good. Prices are OK (you're not going to find any "inexpensive" restaurants on Isla Mujeres). Would I go out of my way to eat here? No, but I also wouldn't recommend you not eat here.

This is a pretty good spot on the main (downtown) drag. Honestly, I was heading next door, but the dude out front was cocky. 'Are you as good as them?' I asked. 'Better,' he said. 'They love their microwave.' I was sold. -- Atmosphere is outstanding (same as many other places along the shore). Service is fantastic. Food is delicious. If you think you're coming to Mexico and getting 'cheap' prices, go somewhere else. While this isn't exactly a max-your-card place, it's not exactly McDonald's when it comes to prices. -- Nor should it be. Everything came to us hot and fresh. And delicious. And again, service was outstanding. We'll be back.

Bill-They pad their prices, menu showed 400 pesos each for lobster tacos-yet they are charging 900 for two.

It was hot and we were hungry so we stumbled upon this restaurant. Service was great, lobster tacos were great. However, beware they pad their prices. Lobster Tacos were 400 pesos each according to their menu, we had 2, yet the bill shows 900 pesos. How does 400 x 2 equals 900? They also add tip/gratuity to the bill immediately. They also do not accept credit cards.

nachos, salsa and chips (top left), guac

We got breakfast/take-out from here since my friend was stuck in the hotel working and everything was pretty solid. We ordered basic nachos, quesadilla with shrimp, al pastor tacos, a side of guac, salsa and chips, and i believe a chorizo omelette, everything came out to $41. The nachos were soggy but not disintegrating when we were ready to eat (~15 mins later). The portion sizes were bigger than expecting... the guac must have had 3-4 avocados and I believe it was 90 pesos! Shrimp quesadilla was bomb and we loved everything, I loved the nachos a bit less because they were already soggy from the long trip from the restaurant to our mouths but overall, would recommend especially for dining in. It's located right on the beach!

Tried Miramar as I was waiting to catch the ferry back to Cancun. I ordered the coconut shrimp and Sangria. The Sangria was delicious. The fried coconut shrimp were ok. It came with Mango sauce, which added a nice flavor. The service was fast, which was nice as I was trying to kill about 30 minutes to catch the ferry.

When we went in early November 2018, this place was not accepting Card, only cash. The food here is great! At least I'm pretty sure it was, it's hard to remember because the drinks are good and not expensive! There is a neat Isla Mujeres photo up out by the water, and a shark head coming out of the pier as well.

Meat burrito -- even bigger than it looks!

Left the resort for a day trip to Isla Mujeres and we stopped here for lunch. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is large and open air, with many tables in the sand by the water. It's beautiful. There are also some great photo ops. The complimentary chips and dip were delicious. Some of the best pico I have ever had! The chicken nachos are what really stole the show though. SOOOO good. Everyone was happy with their food -- meat burrito, hamburger and fries, fish tacos, and a whole fish. Service was also pretty good, but our server kinda disappeared near the end. No drink refills and we had to track him down for our check. Overall it was a good experience though. The only thing we really didn't like is that people are allowed to walk through the restaurant selling things. We got asked if we wanted to buy shark tooth necklaces and cigars seven times in one sitting.

Pros: fantastic location - plus they have their own pier with island's logo and huge shark head for pics. Really nice view at sunset. Place has WiFi, they give you pwd as soon as you get seated. Chairs and tables are worth mentioning too - interesting decor, carved and classy. Waiter was courteous, polite and quick - I was impressed (and I used to work as a waiter in NYC - so I know what it takes). And finally food: we had aztec soup, chicken quesadillas, fresh coco juice, guacamole and fish tacos - all were delicious. Cons: none really

The last meal on the island was incredible was really really amazing the sea food was amazingly fresh and had the most greatest taste ever. Perfectly seasoned with some extra chili sauces which they gave upon request since I like the spicy stuff lol. But overall the Restruant was amazing the food was great they have a perfect beach side view you can sit in or outside of the restaurant the customer service was amazing and the server was amazing.

My husband tried the filete de pescado empanizado and it's the best we've ever had. So fresh! Service was super friendly and fast. View was amazing.

Food and atmosphere is absolutely amazing! Victor (our waiter) was amazing as well! The employees are very pleasant and helped us take pictures around the scenery. They even wanted to take pictures with us!! If you come here the lobster is the absolute best around!!!! Prices aren't bad either.

Unlike the other reviews on here I had a good experience the recent two times I came to the restaurant in September 2016. Staff was very attentive even though both times I was very indecisive. First time I went there for lunch and got beef quesedillas which were pretty good. Then went there for late dinner and got garlic shrimp which since they were an entree also came with a free drink with the coupon I was given upon entrance. The garlic shrimp were very good!!

Wow! The biggest ripoff in the island. Overpriced and undervalued. The service started great but…read morethey were not busy, as soon as more guest came, the service became slow and forgetful. Missing items we requested and having to ask a few times. The place looks nice and open with two levels. They are supposedly a "market" but it's a restaurant and a pier stop. People with their boast can come in. They have showers as well. We order the grouper (fish) and 1 dozen of oysters on the half shell. The fish came with the choice of rice, pasta or steamed vegetables. We decided to do the whole fish and get one filet out. I'm originally from an island so eating a whole fish is normal so I wanted to experience it again because back home where we live we don't have it. The fish was ok. It needed more flavor. Rice was hard and cold and not really tasty. The oysters were harder than usual. We ordered two of their Marbella sunrise (drinks) and they were good. Overall the food was NOT good or fresh. It made me sick! I got food poisoning. At the end of our trip in the island I got so sick I was puking on the beach and then walking the streets like a drunk person puking my guts out and not even with a buzz?! No thanks! My final advice? AVOID at all cost because what you will be missing here is your money from your wallet. Nothing special. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Awful. Definitely not worth $221.00. The stone crab was so tuff you couldn't eat it. My husband…read moresent it back and they still charged him $21 for the 1 piece he tried to eat. The other 2 items we Ordered were sub-par fried rice and 6 shrimp. Not worth it at all! Very disappointed in this place.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!
