    Fried fish tacos
    Kenny N.

While on a recent trip to Cancun, I wanted to try some of the local seafood from the city. After receiving a recommendation about Pescaditos from both locals and tourists, I had to give it a try. The restaurant is conveniently located a short walk from Mercado 28 with plenty of treats and souvenirs. Service was friendly and spoke English, so I never felt pressured to speak in broken Spanish. The menu was also conveniently printed in both English and Spanish, and the prices were very reasonable. I ended up ordering the fish tacos, the beer-battered shrimp, and the fish and shrimp ceviche. The beer-battered shrimp was made with large, juicy shrimp coated in the crispy batter. The ceviche was very fresh without any scents of fishiness. The serving sizes of all the plates were very generous. The highlight of the meal would have to be the fried fish tacos. I was expecting battered fish fried and served on a corn tortilla; however, Pescaditos takes it to the next level. The fish is cut into bite-sized pieces with their salsa and deep-fried in the taco shell, making for a crunchy taco with a juicy interior. It's definitely unique and a meal that I will remember. Pros: Fast, friendly service and very accessible for English-speakers. Menus and staff are able to communicate in English. Portions and prices are very reasonable, and the food itself is very fresh. Cons: None

Great pescadilla (fish) and jaibadilla (blue crab) tacos! The platter of camarones cooked in garlic sauce were delicious. We loved their pan de elote (Mexican sweet corn bread with ice cream) for dessert! Our nice server Huber provided excellent service. You can take the 24 hour R2 bus from the hotel zone to the Mercado 28 then walk 0.6 miles here. Bus fare is 12 pesos (one way) from the hotel zone to downtown Cancun and make sure to use small bills. You will need to walk over to the major intersection of Tulum and Coba Avenues to catch an R1 bus back to the hotel zone (second bus stop next to the Chedraui grocery store and directly in front of the Chinese restaurant).

Pretty good restaurant for some seafood in Cancun. I love the ceviche here, lots of seafood and taste delicious. We order the one with shrimp, fish, and octopus. The blue crab taco has very unique taste as well. The fried fish stick is normal. They have live music at night and service is really good.

Great little fish shack in the heart of downtown Cancun. It's Mexico so it basically goes without saying that the staff are very friendly and attentive. Over multiple days I had the pescaditos- beer battered fish, pescadillas- fish tacos, jabadilla- Caribbean blue crab taco, and chile relleno de camarón. The chile relleno was a bit greasy for my liking so I probably wouldn't repeat but it was still very good. Everything else was excellent and you can tell that it's quality fresh fish and not some frozen garbage.

We visited here a lifetime ago in early March, before the COVID-19 pandemic. "Pescaditos" are fish sticks in Spanish, and of course they're on the menu! But they have so many other good things here too: shrimp various ways, soups, crab tacos, stuffed jalapeños, ceviches of different seafoods and pastas. There are some vegetarian options on the menu. The atmosphere is casual and the place has a music theme (there's a photo of Frank Zappa near the restroom and there's a "Pescaditos" mural that looks curiously like the cover of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'). When we ate here for dinner, they had live entertainment too. The food is delicious, the service is very good and the prices are inexpensive. The menu is in Spanish and English. I can't wait to come back. For what it is, it deserves 5 stars.

I like Pescaditos a lot because of the simplicity of this restaurant and the seafood heavy menu. The restaurant is spacious with a few inside tables and a lot of outside seating which was good for me because I like to people watch as I enjoy a meal by myself. It is tucked away down a street in downtown Cancun and I would probably return. You basically seat yourself. I went when it was not that busy for a quick casual dinner. I was craving shrimp so I ordered the chile relleno stuffed with shrimp and cream cheese as well as a dozen fried shrimp that was served with plenty of limes. The food was good, hot, and plentiful. Service was A-OK. It could have been a little cleaner. I didn't stay long.

LOVE this place!! We stumbled upon this place while walking around near Market 28. It was pretty packed with alot of locals, so we thought the locals must know something we don't. We got a table outside in the patio area. The restaurant does not have A/C inside or outside, only fans, and so it's really hot even with the fan on full blast. We ordered 2 types of ceviche and some fish tacos. We ordered a grande mixto ceviche and it was PERFECT!!! LOVE LOVE it! The oyster ceviche was also amazing, we got a full bowel of oysters for a very reasonable price! LOVE it! The fish tacos were really tasty too, full of fish and pretty large. Our meal came out to be $18usd, and everything was delicious! Service was superb, came back to check on us often. They even packed us our leftover in a nice bag with extra chips!! So AWESOME!! Next time we are in Cancun, we are definitely coming back! Highly recommend!!

Beware... Perhaps it was just this location, but I would highly recommend not eating here if you can... Perhaps it was just the food that we ordered... The place was smelly, tables were sticky and it felt a little off. Since the reviews were so positive, we gave it a chance. My partner arrived during the lunch time and there was absolutely no one there... We ordered some fried fish tarros, shrimp tarros and a fried jalapaneo pepper with cream cheese. There was also a side of chips and sauces that came with it. Perhaps we should have gone with the ceviches as none of it was particularly good. We were also not in the mood to drink and perhaps that would have made the food taste better. In addition to the let down of food items, the whole restaurant smelled a little off. It is as if there was rotting fish or seafood coming from the kitchen. This is a chain restaurant so it is possible that this was just not a good location. There are so many other restaurants in the area that have higher quality food. Grade: F

Spicy garlic shrimp, giant pile of guacamole, ceviche and margarita! All delicious!

Delicious, well priced. Spicy garlic shrimp was phenomenal. Guac had exceptional portion size. Margarita was enormous too, not that alcoholic. Overall loved it here! Would go back specifically for that mouth-watering spicy garlic shrimp.

This restaurant is tourist friendly with everything in the menu translated to English. You will find mexican tourists here as well so generally the food is good! For a single person, expect to spend around 50+ pesos for food and 35 pesos for a beer. Go for: quick service, translated menu, average pricing Don't go for: cheap mexican eats

    Brenda R.

Good priced restaurant, they have live music as well overall good vibes, the manager is very professional and he will make sure you get what you asked for, prices are very fare compared to surrounding restaurants, highly recommend "ask for their fish plates it's a secret menu ;)"

Looking for a cheap and quick meal with no gimmicks, Pescaditos is your spot. My boyfriend and I had dinner with drinks for under 20 USD. Order the FRIED SHRIMP - you won't be disappointed. Also, try the add-ons to your beer, FUN!

Our first night: fish soup, fried camarones, and the stuffed pepper. We devoured it all!
    Rachel L.

Our Airbnb hosts recommended Pescaditos to my boyfriend and I and we are so happy to have eaten here. Amazing, cheap, authentic food. We came back twice. The first night they happened to have an event so there was no live music, but the second night we went there was someone playing the guitar and singing. The open air sitting area and music was something we loved. As for the food, the fried camarones (shrimp) are absolutely amazing, along with the stuffed pepper. The fish soup also had so many layers to it, with the fish and the spice working very well together. Everything was so fresh and cooked wonderfully. My boyfriend was ambivalent towards Mexican food when we first got here, but after Pescaditos, we have fallen in love!

It's a good seafood restaurant. Try the grilled shrimp. Prices are reasonable and sometimes they have music in the evenings.

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Maybe we ordered the wrong things to try, I thought everything was good, but nothing that was so good it made me want to hurry back.

The menu is simple with just enough options to where everyone can find something they like. I had the skirt steak tacos and my friend got fish tacos, We also ordered a frozen margarita and mojito that were huge!!!!! The prices were fair for what you get and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The music is not too loud so you can have a conversation with your group. They are not pushy to get you in and out like other places. Will definitely be back
