Travesías has street metered parking in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx-my old stomping…read moregrounds. There is also outdoor seating. We decided to sit inside because it was a bit hot outside and inside were several empty two seater tables. A large party of more than 15ppl were seated, a table of 3ppl, and several couples at other tables. The place is tastefully decorated with a beautiful 3D aesthetic pleasing wall mural of a woman's face. 2 bathrooms were neat and clean. Food was delicious, and presentation was awesome. We ordered their sampler that comes in a 3 tier serving tray: coconut shrimp, calamari, chicken and steak skewers, wings(the only thing that didn't seem fresh and did not taste like sweet Thai chili-and we eat sweet Thai chili a lot -that's how I know), mini bite size various meat/seafood empanadas with the outer dough having a normal red or black coloring. The 3 chimi sliders were very tasty and the guacamole and yaniqueque -flat dough that is deep fried and crispy. Services although excellent seemed very slow. It is not uncommon to find service slower when there are less people in the establishment because staff will go about setting up their station, cleaning without noticing that people are waiting for water, ready to order food or drink or asking for the check. I empathized with a woman who I noticed sat by herself, slightly annoyed to wait to place an order her great looking fish-she had to signal a server to come take her order--by this time there are still several empty tables. Overall, because the food was great, I will come back again.

The appetizer platter was perfect for all of us and the lobster and steak presents was awesome. It is my friend favorite spot and I just can't wait to go back!!! Love the decor and the music was great. The service was so accommodating and patience with us taking pictures and just having a time for the books.

Que Bola Great Vibes / Food…read more My Mom recommended this place to me & my crew. Visiting from Miami Florida

Sunday Brunch - 3:21 PM…read more Ambiance: We were greeted by a pleasant host who thoughtfully seated us based on our preferences and made sure we weren't placed near a speaker. That attention to detail was appreciated. The crowd was mature and respectful, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The music selection offered a nice variety and complemented the brunch experience well. Service: Our waiter was friendly and attentive. When I requested lemon and an additional brunch menu so my husband and I could each review the options, I learned that only one menu was provided for the table. Since I tend to take my time deciding what to order, having a second menu would have made the process much easier and more enjoyable for both of us. I asked for the menu and lemon he said he would come back and he NEVER did.. we had to ask for it twice . And at the time of ordering our meals it's then when they beamy us the lemons to squeeze into our glass of water. Food: I had the chicken and waffles . Nothing difficult to put together. However if you are going to state on your menu that it's chicharrón de pollo was bland no taste I had to ask for lime to give it some salty mess to it. My husband steak and eggs which came with rice. Steak was chewy he said it was ok nothing to brag. Over all I will give this place a 6 out of 10

Had lunch here the other day…read more My clams on the half shell were fresh and briny. Good stuff. I had the Broiled Fisherman's Platter Lunch Special: Filet of Fish, Scallops, Baked Mussels, Baked Clams & Shrimp. It comes with Soup or Salad, Choice of baked Potato, French Fries, Linguine or Rice and their famous Garlic Bread. Coffee or Tea and a Dessert of the Day. All for $30.99. I had the Manhattan Clam Chowder, Linguine and a baked potato as my choices. Banana cake for dessert. Everything was good and fresh and tasty and I left stuffed. Will definitely return.

I'm giving The Original Crab Shanty a solid 4 out of 5 stars…read more We came in with a MASSIVE group, and they handled us like Diana had been given command of the Enterprise. The restaurant has plenty of room for large parties, and I appreciated how accommodating everyone was. Our server, Diana, deserves her flowers. She was friendly, patient, detailed, and stayed on top of everything. Managing a group our size without needing the Avengers as backup deserves some recognition. Now, the food. Visually, everything came out looking good and cooked properly. The biggest issue across our table was simple: SALT. Somebody apparently sent the seasoning to a galaxy far, far away. I ordered the crab cakes. They were made with real crab and prepared the way crab cakes should be, but mine had almost no flavor. I ended up adding blue cheese to give them some life. I also had the rice with broiled scallops. The scallops were a little chewy, but the sauce had enough seasoning and salt that mixing some into the rice helped tremendously. I wasn't the only one reaching for the salt shaker either. Several people in our group added salt to their meals. The prices also felt high, especially since many of us ordered from the lunch menu. None of this makes me write the place off. The service was strong, they treated our large group well, the seafood was fresh, and there are several things on the menu I still want to try. So yes, I'll return. My final message to the kitchen, with all the seriousness of Captain Picard addressing the bridge: Season the food. The Force is already with the seafood. Now bring the salt.
