Amanda did an amazing job with Leah and was incredibly kind and welcoming. She took the time to come out and greet us before the appointment, then met with me afterward to go over how everything went. She also answered all of my questions, which made me feel completely comfortable leaving Leah in her care. It's clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she grooms. Leah looked wonderful, and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a caring and talented groomer!

I mentioned what I normally pay to see if she would be flexible at all, and she got really bitter immediately. She was really sour assuming that the places I have gone to must not do X, Y, and Z..when I tried to reason with her, she had wanted no part of it and to just be done..so then said she had to go and hung up on me. Wow! I was stunned. I understand that people charge different things, but getting offensive about cost or bitter with potential clients is never the way to go. It's okay though because she had insurance which she kept bringing up, so I guess she can continue to talk to people this way.

Second, my bernedoodle had knots on his legs. I got as many as I could out at home but his legs retained some. They would not work with me on this. I Gave me 2 options; Shave to the skin all over; or face and fanny only. They would not shave down the legs and groom the rest of the body, even thought I requested that. I though I was paying for what WE wanted? Obviously we took the face and fanny. $85!!!!!!!!!!!! and no groom - I nearly keeled over. I was hoping this would be our new loving place. I hope you have better luck. WE will not try again.

I always drive past this store as it's kinda tucked away off the intersection. I was on my way home…read moreand remembered my kitty needed some food. This location was in the same direction as my home so I decided to stop by. Pros: I do like how the store is clean and easy to navigate. As far as I could tell there was only one person working the floor, but he was friendly. Con: the only con I found here and unfortunately it's common amongst most pet stores is most items are catered to dogs. This isn't to say that their cat selection is small, it is a pretty decent size but the options still felt somewhat limited. But on the bright side I did see a sign that stated "more cat food coming soon" so that's promising. I'll have to come back to check on the new inventory updates!

Unsafe & terrible customer service. Every couple of years I look forward to shopping here. We fly…read morein from Los Angeles to visit family in the area. Today was the last time I will shop here. I walked in the door and there was a medium sized OFF LEASH dog following someone around about ten feet from the owner or employee, not sure. I asked to leash the dog. They said "oh don't worry" then I said my dog is not safe around off leash dogs. Not true but I don't trust people who feel that off leash animals in a pet store are safe. This is beyond unprofessional. The store employee told me not to worry about it. Um... what? Maybe this is an Illinois thing? I don't know this dog, mine is on leash. That's not a safe way for dogs to meet. So basic. I should not have to ask- in a pet store to put a dog on leash. I proceeded to ask where the leashes were ironically, and really felt uncomfortable - I was interrupting a conversation between two employees or an employee and a customer (person in purple scrubs who looked like they worked there.. I'm really not sure, but after having to insist that I did not want to bring my dog in with an off leash dog, the whole experience was pretty terrible. Honestly, I'm so disappointed. I look forward to going to the store every time I visit the state and I will just find another one. At minimum I should feel like my dog is safe while I shop. Oh lastly I asked to use the restroom and was told it was out of order, and they did not have a public bathroom - meaning that they had a private one that we were not able to use. Which seems fine unless of course the public one is out of order. No suggestion of an alternative. I can't believe I drove 45 minutes to go to this store. The store itself looked pretty bad. Most of the shelves were half empty. They had some cute toys, but I'd say 50% of the hooks were empty. So much for supporting small businesses. At least at Petco I'll have a bathroom, dogs will be on leash, and someone who works there might actually help me find what I'm looking for.
