We bring (now both kitties) in about every 4 - 6 weeks to keep up their coats nice and smooth and untangled. They always feel great, look great, and come home happy as can be! We also started purchasing all of our kitties dry and wet food from Spotted Paw (all locations, we like to try new stuff!)! Our Cosmo had some tummy issues, and since purchasing the Farmina brand for both kitties, and changing the wet food (and increasing it) they have both never been healthier, especially their skin and coats! Thank you Cris, Mike, and team - we truly love Spotted Paw and all you are doing for our kitties! We will continue to support and share their business as it's absolutely top notch!

It's one thing to make a mistake on one ear but then to do the same thing on the other ear just blows my mind. They didn't even say anything about it even though there was dried blood all over her ears. All they cared about was my Zelle transaction going through and I gave them a good tip! I'm so mad I didn't take a second and look at my dog better before I left. There's no excuse for this, who knows what the kids working there are doing to the dogs. Never going back here!

So it was important to me to find a groomer that was patient and gentle with her. Dana was wonderful. Not only was my puppy adorable when I picked her up but she seemed to have been treated very well. You just get the sense that Dana really cares about the dogs she's grooming and looking after. And she was very patient with me and took the time to explain when I had questions about matting/brushing. I will be coming back to her for future grooms.

Amanda did an amazing job with Leah and was incredibly kind and welcoming. She took the time to come out and greet us before the appointment, then met with me afterward to go over how everything went. Leah looked wonderful, and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a caring and talented groomer!

Most groomers have come across a dog like this in their careers. His 1st groomer did well with him but is in South Carolina. His 2nd groomer told us that if had been her dog that she would have taken him to be put to sleep. When we explained our situation to a 3rd potential groomer, she told us she'd charge more with each nip or bite. We were heartbroken to think that nobody could deal with our little poodle. He only weighs about 6-7lbs! We ended up trying to groom ourselves which left him looking not so good and us frustrated. That was until our neighbor pulled up with her sporty little schnauzer with a snazzy new haircut. We told her of our woahs and she recommended Close Companion. We were astonished that the groomer reported that the dog behaved pretty well (we implored her to be honest). He looked GREAT and he knew it strutting around in his new haircut. Even though we have moved away from the Yorkville area, we will still make the trip out there for our grooming needs. I feel confident that they treat our dogs with care, kindness, and respect. I do not worry that the lil guy will get hurt or be mis-treated. Our neighborhood now is extremely dog-friendly and we tell people that it's more than worth the drive. Close Companion does very professional work and more than reasonable rates.
