Bark A Lounge is the BEST pet Salon. My Bichon and Maltese have been going there for 4-5 years. My Bichon needs special attention when being groomed due to little bumps he has developed in his senior years. It takes extra effort for the groomer to avoid these bumps and she does a great and careful job. Recently I had to rehome my Bichon due to unfortunate circumstances and Jenna posted it on their Facebook page. She was so awesome at following up with all responses and helping out with a very hard situation for me. Bark-a-lounge has had new owners since 2020, so the older reviews really shouldn't count anymore. I have been bringing our 4 dogs here since late 2020 and couldn't be happier! 2 get full service with haircuts, 2 get baths and their nails clipped. They have a helpful fur length gauge so you can see and select the exact length you want. My dogs always look and smell great and come out happy. The staff is always friendly and helpful and special requests have never been a problem. read more

Bark A Lounge Pet Salon is the best! We have a 15 year old pup that is slowing down a bit and gets nervous when at the groomer. The people are so awesome. They care for and love Campbell when he is there. Jake has been grooming Campbell for two years now. Campbell feels comfortable with him and we always feel like Jake goes out of his way to make us and Campbell feel special. And of course Campbell always looks, feels and smells great after his visit! We have been going to Bark A Lounge for approximately 8 years, they are fantastic!! Both the Old and the New Owners are fabulous. Most recently our Dog developed Bone Cancer so she has a hard time standing to get her nails clipped. Seeing this made me want to cry, but Jake sat on the floor in the middle of cut fur and gently coaxed her to sit in his lap while he took care of her nails and made her feel special. May peek a Pooh mix went to here for years for her grooming. always taken care of wonderfully. I came back with my new dog, who is very nervous and fearful, just to have her nails cut. This is the best place to have your pet groomed - I've referred several people here & they've all been extremely happy with the service. For 6 years, I brought my lab here - I used to bring her to Petsmart & she'd come back shaking & terrified - after a trip to Bark A Lounge, she was always happy & excited. She passed away in May & now I bring my Frenchie here every month, who also seems to love it. The dogs always come out with cute little bandanas around their necks & smelling fresh & clean. They do a great job with their nails as well. Al loves to see my Frenchie & is always psyched when I bring her into the waiting room, which makes me feel good because I know they genuinely care for her & take good care of her while I'm gone. FYI: They do not accept credit cards, so be sure to have cash, a check, or your debit card handy when you go to pick your pet up! read more

This place always did a fantastic job on my long-haired baby. She always came home soft and pretty as a princess ( and always festooned with a seasonal neckerchief). She passed away last year, and the dogs we currently have are very short haired, so don't require professional grooming. Should we find ourselves in possession of another long-haired pooch we will be back in a heartbeat! My father also uses Bark a Lounge for his 2 Aussies and couldn't be happier! It's hard to get a 5 star from me. I throw out 4's a bit, and 3's... but to get a 5, you really need to wow me. I really like this place. I have two labradors that I bring here for basic grooming, including a good bath and undercoat brushing. Both times that I have called to book, they have offered very quick appointment times. Check in is quick, simple, no fuss. My kiddos seem happy and fairly calm when I pick them up, considering where they are (they don't like having nails done, etc.). They leave looking and smelling good, and shedding less. The groomers always put cute scarves on them -- pink and girly for Daphne, and something blue and manly for Sam. The thing I most appreciate has to do with my elderly guy, Sam (10) who has some gait issues, and as a result some funky, wonky nails. They grow kinda crazy in a topsy, turvy way, and are super hard to trim. The groomers dremel them like pros so that they don't split and catch on stuff, and recently my veterinarian gave the dremel job a thumbs up. That alone is worth the cost of grooming to me. The price is pretty average for grooming -- not too expensive, not cheap.. more than fair. I have also brought my little rescue Chiweenie, Louie, here to have his little nails dremeled. They accept walk-in nail filing, and are super duper quick, which Louie appreciates because when *I* do his nails, he behaves like he is being murdered. When they had Louie in the back, I could hear them all giving him tons of love and baby talk, and it took them less than 5 minutes -- that alone was worth the $18 it cost to get my little guys nails done. We took our 10 month old Aussiedoodle here and they called us shortly after dropping him off saying our dog wouldn't let anyone near him and was "screaming" on the table. They told us we had to sedate him in order to have him groomed. It was confusing because we had already taken him to this groomer a couple other times and it has all gone fine. So we had to take him to our vet to get the medication (close to $300 vet bill) brought him back here and again they called saying they couldn't get near him. Mind you this is a super sweet and friendly dog. So they said we will try it again a 3rd time and they will get him done right away. Well they didn't get it done and called us again saying the same thing. So after 3 grooming sessions, an unfinished job, charged the full amount plus a vet bill AND they questioned us on whether we gave him the sedation meds. So we take him to a different groomer to finish the job and she does it easily WITHOUT meds and said all it took was scratching him behind his ears. She also noticed several cuts on the bottom of his paws that she said looked like it was from a blade. Truly appalling and upsetting. My husband messaged them through their website and never heard back. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would.... I have spent probably thousands of dollars with this business over the last twelve years with 4 dogs. Today my wife came home in tears after being berated by the owner Al about our puppy not having a virus shot. I don't care what the reason, there is no excuse to bring a regular or any customer to the point of tears. He is obviously not grateful for loyal clients and cannot talk respectfully, as any business owner should. He yelled and argued with her in front of other customers, no class! Love this place! Percy sees Ron as his stylist. Ron does a great job making Percy look very stylish. We like his head very fluffy and Ron always delivers on our requests. Percy always leaves with a very groomed look. Once he even tied his hair to look like a faux hawk. Usually after enjoying his elegant look and all of Rons hard work... This place is HORRIBLE. I was greeted by someone who seemed nice but in reality was not. They took my 6 month dog and the second he was in the back I heard him crying multiple time. He was extremely distraught when I got to see him. They were trimming his pads and clipping his nails. My puppy came home to one of his paws bleeding extremely bad and they didn't even warn or tell me. I also experienced a phone call where they said to an owner that they had to shave the ears off that they were to matted. The groomer did not give any effort to brush the fur at all and told the owner they tried there hardest. This place IS THE WORST GROOMERY I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. DO NOT GO HERE!!! This is the first review I have ever written but it deserves to happen after what happened to my puppy. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars only because of the work they do- it actually deserves more stars but I'm knocking it off because I'm tired of the sassy attitude that I've received from one of the owners. Yesterday wasn't the first time I've received it and I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but yesterday was the 2nd time and I'm done with this place since I didn't do anything wrong in order to deserve an attitude..... twice - especially since I've been going to them for years! I took my Yorkie Poo there today for a grooming. He turned out great, and seemed to be happy when I dropped him off and picked him up. I won't go back for a few reasons: the entry/lobby area was dirty...the welcome mat was full of fur and filth; I was laughed at when I asked if the products they use contain any nuts--a standard question I ask because my son is severely allergic and I don't want to land him in the hospital because I neglected to ask a simple question; and because I had to wait ten minutes to both drop my dog off and pick him up. In addition, I was told I would receive a discount, but that discount was not applied upon payment. I came to this groomer because it was highly recommended by several people, but my first impression did not want me to attempt another visit here. read more

I took my Yorkie here several times. I checked in with about 9 other people dropping off in the a.m.. They kept my dog for at least 7 hours several times. And, once, they came out to the car to bring us our dog, because he wasn't done until closing, and they brought the wrong dog!!! This place was a horrible experience for both me and my dog. The great thing about Bark A Lounge is that they don't keep your dog all day. My dog is in and out in about 2 hours, instead of the normal 4 hours that the other groomers I took him to take. GREAT work! Trustworthy. They do professional SHOW grooming. They have groomed my long-haired Shetland Sheepdogs multiple times a year for years, & have never failed to return them beautiful & perfectly done. They never cut too much, or shave anything without asking. Their grooming is done like show dogs. When my one dog had a skin issue (one I never would have found myself, or known what it meant), they found it and advised me to see a vet ASAP. They were right! It was important. As my dogs have aged and become injured, arthritic, etc, the Bark-A-Lounge people have been very careful. And yes, they DO get rid of skunk spray! Other groomers in the past have butchered my dogs' coats & appearance, but these gents never do. read more
