Today, Thursday Sept 10th I arrived at UPS in Pacific Grove to drop off a stack of returns that…read morewere already labeled for my Mom. Mind you I am a caregiver and have a 2 year old full time. It's extremely hot out ( I have a serious autoimmune illness which gives me migraines in the heat) and It was clear that I was in a rush ( by the stack of boxes I brought in all at one time). I told them I did not need a receipt and that I needed to go pick up my baby. He was crying his eyes out and I still had prescriptions to pick up ( but that's besides the point) . I asked if I could just leave the boxes with them. The two women working ( one dark haired younger woman, and a light hair middle aged woman) immediately told me I had to scan all of the boxes myself. When I asked if they could please help me they said I still needed to do it myself. When I refused to do so ( because I know they are able to do it) one of them says that they weren't a mail carrier or postal service. ( Darker haired woman) Something of that sort . The other one says that for next time I have to do it myself. ( lighter haired older woman) At least she said it with a smile but WOW. I was the ONLY customer in there and there were two of them in an air conditioned facility. I was blown away. What is your job then? I will never go back to this store. Never. I'm nervous my Mom's packages won't get to where they need to go now. I've worked in customer service all of my life and have even taught classes to employees. This store needs work. You never know what someone is going through and you should treat everyone with respect and kindness. Half the people going in there won't know how to do that themselves . That's why you are there. To do your job and help people. The only kind thing one of the ladies did was pick up one of the packages that fell off my stack ( dark haired young woman) so I will give her credit for that. But the attitudes were uncalled for. I want to also add, the reason my Mom sends me is because you were rude to her before. So , Take care. I wish you two better days ahead.

I cannot say enough good things about Charlie, the manager at Copymat in Salinas…read more I was helping an elderly client who is not comfortable with technology and really only uses his phone to make and receive calls. I needed him to get some documents to me, and what would normally be a simple task was very difficult for him. Charlie went above and beyond to help. He was patient, kind, and had a fantastic attitude. He took the time to help my client through the process and then sent me exactly what I needed. It made what could have been a very stressful situation incredibly easy. I had originally sent my client to FedEx for assistance, but they were unwilling to help him. Thankfully, we found Charlie at Copymat. The difference in customer service was remarkable. This is what great customer service looks like--recognizing when someone needs a little extra assistance and being willing to help. Charlie treated my client with patience and respect, and I truly appreciate it. Thank you, Charlie! I will absolutely recommend Copymat in Salinas to my clients and others who need printing, copying, or document assistance.

I had the project as a pdf. Once we got the pdf. to the copymat computer, the person there worked hard at changing the format to fit the 8x8 size and produced the final result, which was beautifully trimmed to exactly 8x8. At the beginning, he had asked how many copies I wanted and I had said one, and his shoulders sank. But he still spent about 15-or 20 minutes inputting the specs, testing by printing and adjusting. When he thought it was just rignt, he gave it to me. said I said it was beautiful. As we went over to the register, I asked how much it would cost, he rang it up and said, $1.02. I said, that can't be right! He said, you're right, it was double sided. That would will be $2.03. I paid the money, and walked out to my car and then came back to him and said that I just couldn't do that and gave him a good tip. You just can't beat that kind of know how, attention to detail, and service to the customer. I will always recommend Copymat for all printing needs.
