Came in here for a really tricky project that my wife was working on. The guy behind the counter, Kevin, not only made the project look better than we hoped, but hooked it up with a lamination. Screw those guys at Kinko's, they're clueless. If you have a copy job or presentation, go to the Copy center. They actually care about your project. read more

Yeah, I'll admit, I've cheated and gone to the "other" copy places a couple of times, just because they stay open a teensy bit later, and I needed the job done. I wonder if stress may have hampered my experience here. I chose this place over Kinko's because I feel Kinko's is often overpriced and has bad service. I needed to print last minute 3 black and white pages (standard 8.5 x 11) from a USB, and I was feeling worried/rushed because of scheduling conflicts. I appreciate that I received attention/offer of assistance immediately, even though there was another client he was talking to. I was a bit nervous when he put me on a computer that had been "acting up in the morning," but it worked well enough. I printed my documents, and the first one took a little time, but then they all came out quickly. It cost nearly $2, which seems pricey for 3 pages. I'm not sure what the cost per page b/w is, but when he was ringing me up he added "a few minutes on the computer" to my bill. Perhaps he should have kept that to himself, because I felt ripped off for having to pay for computer time to print. It wasn't like I surfed the internet for those few minutes. I could have given him the USB and had him do the computer time, but I'm not sure that was an option. I did get the job done, and I guess $2 is better than not having the items printed at all. In comparison: a few weeks ago I was at Office Max's print center, and it cost me only $0.10 or something around that to print one page b/w. The technician took my USB, I directed him to the documents, and it seemed to work well and was cheaper. (He was also really nice and even scanned some coupon for me. Since my bill was so small, it wasn't significant savings, but the gesture was important in my customer satisfaction). read more

I came in the Monterey Copy Center when my mother passed away to print some posters for her "celebration of life". The staff extended their condolences and made sure that the color and prints were to my specification, and that they really preserved the memory of my mother. After being wasting my time with fedex's old n slow computers I found this place on Lighthouse to get my printouts. Thank god! The staff was so helpful and they did not charge me for computer use just like fedex (what a stupid policy) did. Besides their per page rates are waaay lower than fedex and UPS. They are very hands on, and we've never had a problem with any of the projects that we have brought to them. This company was recommended to me by a friend as a great local business who did fantastic work, unfortunately this was not the case. I ordered 500 business card printed from a template for my new business, that I provided. Upon inspection of the cards they were not cut correctly and graphics from one card ran into the next. The first customer service rep I spoke with said it's just the way they turned out and was not helpful. I returned a few minutes later and a second representative offered to trim the cards. I told him that half of the order was different sizes and that further trimming would leave them looking even more unprofessional, I requested a refund. Very unprofessional that they did not just re-run my cards since it was their mistake. I recommend you stick with with the big name printers if you want the job done correctly. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Monterey Copy Center. I took a project in last minute and needed final copies ASAP. Not only was Kevin more then helpful, but he exceeded my expectations! Kevin had not just ONE proof ready for me within 24 hours, but he had two proofs ready and had even gone out of his way to add more detail to what i wanted. Final copies were ready for pick up in 2 days. I've had work done at Kinkos before, and it's amazing to see what a difference there is in both companies. Monterey Copy Center does care about their clients and the quality work they do, where as Kinko's wants you in and out as fast as possible, with no personal touch to whatever project you brought to them. I feel as though Monterey Copy Center makes it a point to give 110% on the work they do for YOU, and they really did just that for me. BRAVO Monterey Copy Center. Keep up the amazing work! read more

I came to Monterey Copy Center to print a dvd insert. First off, their machine didn't print black, it printed grey. Then the guy called me out for exporting it wrong, like it was my first time doing this, which it wasn't. Any how, needless to say things didn't work out, even tho he only printed 2 test prints, which he threw away, he still expected me to pay $3, which i did. Afterwards, I went to Copy King in new monterey. Here my blacks actually showed up black. 4 test prints and 2 final copies later we were done, $2.50 Thanks copy king, your the best! read more
