Stopped by Monterey Sign Company yesterday and had a really good experience with Marcos. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and just an all-around great guy. He made everything feel simple and straightforward, no hassle at all. It's always nice dealing with someone who actually cares and treats you right. Definitely recommend stopping in and asking for Marcos if you need anything read more

Helpful & responsive! To date the only company that has submitted a bid for me. Worked with me to send rendering over to them.

the finished product for a unique sign challenge has been created and installed, earlier this week in fact; the folks at Monterey Sign, and I worked directly with Shawn, took care of the entire process which included replacing a local non-profits 24" X 24" sign that "lives" on city property. I'd previously made multiple attempts through the city to determine which department had jurisdiction for the property, without any success or even progress; Shawn reassured me during the first conversation it was very doable and that they had experience in such situations. Sign is beautiful, and 100% installed. Mike Fitzsimmons read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Monterey Signs. They helped me out with a last minute urgent sign need. These guys are awesome! I know no one in this company and have no connection with them and write very few reviews. But...I had a small project-I wrote to them and asked if they could do it. Shawn wrote me back almost immediately, on the weekend, and said, "Sure, we can do it." I made an appointment, went in and they jumped on my project finishing it in record time and did a fabulous job. I cannot recommend them more highly. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Monterey Signs did a fantastic job with the door sign we requested. Dylan was great to work with. I would recommend 100%.

Monterey Signs is awesome. I had a little project - a small plastic sign for my grandson - and they treated it like it was the most important project they had. Immediate response to my initial email, kept me updated on the process and FAST production / turnaround - all processed online. And the sign is awesome. They've performed like this every time I have used them. BITB. read more

Starting up a new business is never easy, especially coming out of a pandemic, but Monterey Signs made that part of the process easy. Incredibly professional, creative, and reliable. They went out of their way to make sure that our signage was done on budget and on time. They even worked on a holiday weekend to make sure that our signs were up and looking good for the busy Memorial Day weekend. I highly recommend using Monterey Signs, they have definitely won over all of my business. read more

Monterey Signs did the wrap of both of our work vans and they did a beautiful job on each. The entire process from design to implementation is flawlessly executed and their communication on projects far exceeds the norm. We get frequent compliments on the vans from customers and the public alike. They have also done some work on signs for our office doors. Our work neighbors liked them so much they had Monterey Signs do their doors, too. read more

As a new business owner, getting a sign made for my business was at the bottom of my very long to-do list. I thought, "I can just order one, it'll be done in a week and we're good." SILLY ME! Not only is it not that simple, I didn't think of the implications of my business sign. The reality is your sign is the first thing current or potential customers see when they approach your business. It doesn't matter if you're a dentist, an engineering office, or a retail store...it's the first thing they see when they approach. Don't you want your business sign to be nice? Of course you do :-) I emailed to get a quote. When the quote came back over what we had budgeted, they generously re-worked a sign to fit within MY budget. As much as I wanted the amazing sign they came up with (always let them do their creative thing), they did not push it. Not once did I feel pressured to take what they offered. They simply reworked it to fit my needs, and as a new business owner I couldn't appreciate that enough. In the end, the sign was made with nice, high quality materials (including acrylic) that exceeded my expectations. (I posted a pic of our sign "Wide Open Blue.") Over the course of a few weeks I had the pleasure of working with, speaking with and/or emailed with Shawn (the owner), Helgi, Chad, and Korey (the installer). Every single interaction was pleasant. They were all, each and every time so polite and professional. I've never worked with such a responsive team of people, and I've been managing businesses for over 15 years. Thank you! read more

When I purchased my new Miata 5, Monterey Signs was recommended to me as a company which would do a good job of installing stripes on my white car. A Monterey Signs employee named Tony Clayton handled my account, and after I paid a $200.00 deposit, Mr. Clayton lied egregiously to me. He claimed that Monterey Signs did not have an envelope to mail me the 8"x11" color sample of my stripes. Mr. Clayton told me I'd have to come into the shop (then in a difficult-to-navigate construction zone) to pick up the color sample. I rescheduled my day, cutting short a screenplay collaboration session, and drove to the shop. When I arrived, Mr. Clayton handed me the sample. The company's owner was ten feet away. I said, "Hey, Tony, are you still claiming your company can't afford an envelope to have mailed this to me?" Mr. Clayton laughed. "No, I was just trying to save time." I found this to be not only insulting, but ridiculous: Had Mr. Clayton dropped the sample in the mail, it would've arrived at my home (a few miles away) the same day he had me come into his shop. I looked over at the store's owner, and he just stared at me. I have Mr. Clayton's emails, and can supply proof of my account of events. The actual installation, performed by a wizard named Korey, went splendidly. The stripes look great. Korey also told me about special ways to keep the stripes shining good-as-new for years to come. read more

I found Monterey Signs three years ago by a word-of-mouth referral. I use them for banners and (pvc) signs for events. Hands down one of the best vendors I do business with. They go above and beyond my expectations and when the invoice comes around, I always save money. That's all good but the best part is the way they handle my last minute changes with a smile. 100% confident in their work. Quality of the sign board is great and reusable. Totally satisfied with their customer service. Has never missed a deadline. Have referred a dozen customer to Monterey Signs with no negative feedback. Highest ethical standards - They have had the opportunity to charge me a premium fee because of some really tight deadlines and they have always charged me the regular fee. I could go on but you get the point. I'm a fan of Monterey Signs. If you are a smart business person you absolutely shop around. Yelp is cool but for projects like signage, you really need to get a more informed opinion. Interview customers, due diligence is in order and at the end of the day make the best decision for your business. read more

Kudos to Monterey Signs for their professionalism. Sail Monterey initially chose Monterey Signs when we realized that in comparison to another quote we had received, Monterey Signs chose to use a material we believed would stand up to the outdoor elements better than their competitor. The price was fair, but most importantly the patience they exhibited while making sure we got our sign perfect was most appreciated. They also helped us design a magnet for our front door on the Wharf that better represented our services and customer experience. Thank you Shawn, Tony, and Jon for all of the help you gave us and creating an awesome sign to stand out on our little blue building at the end of Fisherman's Wharf. read more

I called Shawn for the first time ever a few months back, with a last-minute request from a nonprofit that I work for. I asked him to produce a banner for an event we would be participating in. He was very pleasant and cooperative. Sign was top quality. I highly recommend Monterey Signs. read more

I took my Mini Coopers to Monterey Signs for vehicle graphics after seeing the excellent work elsewhere. I had a custom design and a clear vision of what I wanted on my Mini. Let's be honest here; Mini Cooper folks are demanding, picky and rather unconventional. As a Graphic Designer, add to that 10 fold. I knew exactly what i wanted down to the minute details. After a series of honest goofs that they totally and completely took responsibility for, we have a masterpiece. Here it is in a nutshell... This business team is talented, honest, and will make sure you get what you envision at a very reasonable price. Period.
