I got a recommendation to visit this location from one of my clients. She had gotten her wedding invitations printed by Minuteman and said she highly recommended them. I called before I went in, and asked for a quote over the phone. They actually told me I could just come in, and look at the types and different weights of paper they offer. I showed up and Matt was very helpful, showed me what paper he recommended for me to print my wedding invitations on. The next day he had emailed my quote to me, and I went in that day to look at a proof. Once I ok'd it; they printed all my wedding invitations in only a few days! I made the mistake of using one of the big national corporate chain type stores for my first printing needs... and wow did they take me to the bank! Thank God I then found MMP Lake Forest!!! Shannon took care of me from Minute one!!! She turned around a super fast quote for me.... which I didn't think could be accurate seeing how I had just spend nearly double that at the other store. I needed the job rushed, turned around in a day, but Shannon was able to push it through for me in just a matter of hours! It is nice to use a shop like this where you deal with the same staff every time, not just whatever employee is working the counter at some big store. If you are looking for a new print shop I recommend you a least at least send them e-mail through their contact link on their website and at least get a quote. read more

I don't normally post reviews on Yelp unless they're 100% stellar or a huge disappointment. I feel it necessary to do so in the case of my experience with Minuteman Press. My mom died - a loss I can't even begin to describe - and to add to that experience my work with this business only added stress to an already terrible time in life. I was working on the program for my mom's celebration of life. I do photography & graphics so I designed it myself. When I sent my file to Minuteman, Matt emailed me and said he had a proof ready. I showed up the next morning and Jim, the owner, very casually walked out sipping his coffee cup about 10 minutes after I arrived at the store. I literally stood there waiting for someone to come out from the back and finally had to yell for help. Anyway, Jim looks around and says "your proof is not here." I told him that was odd because Matt had emailed me the day before and said it was ready. Jim's response was, "that's what happens when you're more concerned with the Dodgers." Jim proceeded to print a new proof but it wasn't back to back as the program would be in final form and when I asked some questions about the folding and trimming, he was rude and condescending about what a full bleed really is. I'm a photographer/graphic artist and I know what a full bleed is... I simply wanted to know how much of the whitespace they were going to trim off of the product. You would think when he's looking at what I'm printing (my own mom's funeral program) he would be somewhat kind but he was an ASS. The next day I get an email from Matt apologizing and saying he did print my proof but someone "must have thrown it away." Really?? The finished product was fine in terms of paper, color, folding, etc. but I'm all about customer service and when somebody treats me poorly and isn't even paying attention to what I'm printing - not a cute happy flier but a loved-ones funeral program - let's just say I will NEVER walk back into that place. read more

Horrible service and bad attitude. If I could give this business negative stars I would. NEGATIVE 100. I went in to get some fliers and business cards printed and had the worst customer service experience ever. When I entered the business, Shannon was the only one there. She didn't offer me a seat, and she continued to do whatever she was doing. I would have understood if she wanted to wrap up whatever project she was working on if she only gave me a heads up that she needed a few minutes. Instead, I got nothing. She then threw the paper swatch booklet at me and told me to take a look at the different types of paper. First of all, don't throw anything...especially at a potential customer. I gave her a USB with the files I needed printed and she went on and on about how the files were incorrect and even went on to insult my company for providing her with "incorrect" files. I've worked with plenty of vendors who went out of their way to provide me with what I needed. That's what customer service is all about. I finally got so fed up with her bad attitude I decided to leave. That's business down the drain for you. I work for a corporation down the street and we constantly need things printed in mass bulk. If your looking for inexpensive copies that don't require a lot of precision and terrible customer service this is the place for you. Hi Jim, I appreciate your response and Im sorry for your loss. I just wanted to let you know as a customer how I felt about coming to your business. My review had nothing to do with the fact that you forgot the score, that happens. I was more concerned with the experience I received from one of your employees. Let me go through it really quick. I was so excited to get my copies from your company and went in to pick them up when they were completed. As soon as I walked in I felt very unwelcome. The employee barely looked up from what they were doing to find out what I wanted. I said I was here to pick up my copies and the response given was" are they on the counter." Ok I guess Im on my own here I thought I was going to have to go behind the counter and run my own credit card too. No the employee did run my credit card and placed the receipt on my new copies for me to sign. Well I wasn't about to sign it on them so I moved it to the desk. When I began to sign I was told by the employee, "that's why I put it on the paper it doesn't work on the desk." It's hard to get the right tone across but let's just say it wasn't friendly. When I realized the copies weren't scored I asked about it and was told it wasn't done because it wasn't on the invoice. (Tone getting more unfriendly to the point of why are you bothering me type of attitude) I don't know maybe something like let me check into that we might have forgot would have been more appropriate. I get my copies home and start putting my project together only to realize the top and bottom margins are all completely different from my originals and need to find someone else to do the project. I posted because I just wanted you as the owner to get an idea of how people feel as a customer so you can better their experience and your business. read more
