One would think a five star rating is based off one transaction, but i've been using Spinn Print at work for the last year and a half for multiple transactions from newsletters to flyers, and my organization has used them prior to that. I've yet to encounter a situation in which i wouldn't leave them five stars - and let me tell you i am NOT always easy! Examples? * For my first print job i was dazed and confused and didn't understand how to get a cost effective newsletter printed. Brett provided guidance over the phone, telling me exactly how to select the appropriate settings for what i was looking for, along with options for different setups and costs and when using each would be advisable so i could customize further based on my final design. * Last year I needed a flyer printed in a hurry and when i saw the requested proof, realized there were multiple typos. I halted and resubmitted, then was asked for a last minute change by one of our own providers, and changed the file again. They dealt with it like a champ, and still made sure to get my job done on time! * Yesterday i ordered prints of multiple flyers with a bleed (MS Word so super basic capabilities for images) and i'm new to using graphics in printed materials. I received an email today letting me know my file format wasn't going to print correctly as i didn't do the artwork correctly to accommodate the bleed. I "corrected" (well, i tried) and resubmitted. Spinn Print would have warranted five stars, but producing a short run print job directly before a holiday weekend is rarely ideal. Especially when Spinn's primary customer service rep, Julie, had been out sick for a day or two beforehand. (Julie was delightful once we spoke, and absolutely followed through. Due to the delay in response, I engaged the owner, Brett. Like others have mentioned, he was a bit, ahem, curt.) I needed a full-color tri-fold card printed and felt FedEx Office (always Kinko's in my mind) could have at least made an effort to accommodate a precise front-to-back alignment or offer something heavier than a 100# uncoated card stock. At LEAST for the $3+ per piece Kinko's had quoted. I was confident in Spinn's online pricing/ordering system, but there was no follow-up the next day. Once I knew my job was being processed, I felt reasonably hopeful to receive a quality result. When I picked it up -- I'm currently local to the area -- it was (almost) perfect. There was a 1/16-1/32" I'd have shifted on one side, but I'm certain the final sheets were FAR superior to a big chain (or equally overpriced b-list franchises pimping their services via a community college/local booklets). It was a small run. Whatever stock Spinn is using for their "C2S" heavyweight* is spectacular. As I was scoring and folding the cards myself, I immediately realized how superior both the stock and printing quality/alignment was. *This lovely card is nearly impervious to fingerprints. I watched it get manhandled by MANY at a kegger BBQ. I even rescued one off moist grass after it had fallen from someone's pocket, and it still looked great. The people who received these cards were blown away. Spinn's attention to detail, print quality, and superb paper stock truly did my design and subject matter justice. I just pulled out the overs I received from an envelope and temporarily wondered why I didn't get a big whiff of offset ink stink... ...full color digital printing on serious paper with impeccable attention to detail! THAT was exactly what I was hoping for. Had Julie not been under the weather, this would have been a five star review. Oh. One more thing, VERY IMPORTANT. The PRICE -- less than half of Kinko's, on Kinko's inferior "card" paper. Glad I found you, Spinn Print! I am sure the next project will warrant an upgrade to five stars. read more

The owner, Brett is unprofessional, argumentative, curt and doesn't care about lifetime customer value. Overall, just bad business practices. After many short, poorly formatted emails - our last exchange ended on the phone with him saying "I'll refund your orders and you can take your business elsewhere" then hanging up on me. This is also after I had been loyally placing orders with SpinnPrint on a weekly basis, sometimes multiple times per week. No problem. There are plenty of others to choose from. read more

I have used Brett a couple times before and know that he works from home, which is fine. It keeps my cost down. Which is why I decided to get a catalog printed with him. I called and asked about his printer, because I wasn't sure how the catalog would come out. He kindly said to send our files, and he can send us out a free proof. Great! The proof is sent out, and I waited a few business days and nothing came in. We find out after calling that they were missing a file, ok, so we send it. Waited a few more days, I call, and he says that they have a large order that they are trying to push out, and he will mail it out later that day. Next day comes, I call and he gives me the same answer. Then the next day comes, same answer. Just give me a realistic date of when I can get the proof. Don't tell me what i want to hear to get rid of me. Is that too much to ask? So I send him this email, and he just tells me to go to another printer for my needs as he has to satisfy paying customers first. I'm glad that I'm finally able to take a moment to post a review for Spinn Print. My little graphic design and marketing company has been in business since 2001. Needless to say, I've utilized the print services of many print shops domestically and internationally. The relationships with your printers are crucial to running a successful design business. "Rush" jobs are customary in my line of business. But what's not customary is when a printer goes above and beyond to help a customer on that rush job, while being unbelievably empathic to the nature of the job. In a nutshell, this is what transpired. I'm going to give you a small back story just to put things in perspective. On April 25, 2021, not realizing that the local printer I use for small jobs retired during the pandemic last year, I was frantic looking for a local printer and on the internet for a print shop that could handle 200- 12-page full color with bleeds, saddle stitch funeral programs. I found several possible printers but wasn't sure about turn around time and shipping if it was on the internet. I needed to have the programs to my client by April 30th at the very latest, because job was needed for a funeral on May 1st. This was a very special client so I couldn't bare any hiccups on receiving the print job. Plus, I now live in Atlanta and the funeral was in Maryland. Everything had to go uneventful with this job. These funeral programs were for one of my very best friends. We've been friends since Junior year of high school. A friendship spanning over 30 years. My dear friend tragically loss his only daughter in a car accident on April 3, 2021 in Maryland. She was only 23. Exactly 2 months shy of her 24th birthday. Our daughters are 6 months apart. And we both only have one child, beautiful daughters. Needless to say, I'm still having a hard time processing this great loss for my friend. Designing a homegoing program for his beautiful daughter to offer family and friends visuals and words of a beautiful live gone too soon was important. This was one of the hardest design jobs I've every had to produce. Mentally and physically draining. I think I cried every day. Fast forward to Monday, April 26, 2021. I called several printers to determine who could help me to produce this booklet. Local printers were too expensive. Several online printers couldn't get the job to me in time. Some just had poor customer service over the phone or only had virtual communication. I was really stressing at this point. So I searched the internet again and found Spinn Print. I called and got voicemail with a text message. I'm old school, so I really needed to speak with someone. So I called one more time. This time Brett answered the phone. He confirmed that he could get the job done and to Maryland by Friday, April 30th. Immediately, I indicated how stress I was to get this job printed. Immediately, Brent did something unexpected. After I disclosed that I was stressed because the booklet was for a personal funeral on the upcoming Saturday, Brett was completely empathic. He offered his condolences for my loss and that he understood the loss. He then to said that he would get the job to Maryland a day earlier so that we didn't have to stress. Again he offered kind words of condolences. Condolences that I felt were genuine. Genuine between two human beings. Just being kind and empathic to a complete stranger. Each correspondence via text from Brett offered a bit of comfort and condolences, to a complete stranger. Please understand, I didn't know Brett or his company before April 26, 2021. But I am grateful for Brett and Spinn Print. You see I literally uploaded the job to Spinn Print's server at 3:55 PM EST only to get an email at 7:44 PM EST indicating that my job was complete and had shipped. The tracking number was included as well. In less than 3 hours, Brett got the 200 12-page funeral program booklets printed and shipped to Maryland. This is unheard of for a printer, that I don't have a relationship with, to go above and beyond in this manner. I would expect printers that know me to do this no problem, but not someone new. Brett got the job done and to my friend 2 days earlier than quoted, without any rush charges! When I my friend got the program books he cried they were so beautiful. One last detail that didn't need worry to make his baby girl's homegoing as beautiful as possible. I texted Brett again and thanked him for getting things done so fast and professionally. The books were flawless. Perfect color and stock quality simply exceptional. When Brett text me back, again he offered words of comfort. To be exact, he said," you will see her again in Christ". I know that I chose the correct print shop to handle such a precious job. God bless you Brett. Your customer service is exceptional. I have referred your company to my clients and several businesses.
