Jeff and…read morehis staff have, since day one, been exceedingly pleasant to deal with, as well as helpful, efficient, and generous. They are not only great at packing and shipping, they are nice! The experience with this store was an absolute cluster!!! I had a high value auction shipment…read morescheduled through them, based on the auction house's recommendation. The early part went well - getting a quote. From there, it was downhill. I had specifically instructed the assistant store manager Alex S and paid for the item to be shipped only via UPS! They shipped via FedEx because it was cheaper for them. When they attempted a recall they lost track of it "in the FedEx network". I would absolutely NOT recommend them for anything of value or importance. They are the textbook definition of a logistics disaster. In a country with at-will employment that rewards merit, how such incompetent people keep their job is a mystery. But worse yet, is the owner of this store that cared neither about his customer nor his employees. He let an employee that had failed in the first place continue to muddle along while not having the courtesy to contact the customer to fix things. Sadly, Yelp does not allow less than one star. In summary, there is nothing "Qwik" about them when it comes to "ship". UPS eventually delivered the package on June 16 after FedEx trucked it coast to coast 4 times since May 11. The long logistics nightmare is finally over for an item I purchased in April.

Wow, I am so thrilled to have found Tianna and Jeannette from And Sew On…read more I recently moved to the Cape from Los Angeles, and I was a bit nervous I wouldn't be able to find a great tailor. I bought a dress for my daughter's wedding, and I wanted it to fit perfectly. The dress was almost there but Tianna and Jeannette made it fit perfectly. They both are so experienced and have excellent eyes. When I tried my dress on after the adjustments, I thought it looked great. Jeannette came over and loosened the straps ever so slightly so the dress fell on my hips better and it made such a difference. I thought I had a good eye but And Sew On is the real deal. Thank you Jeannette and Tianna for helping this mother of the bride-to-be feel simply beautiful in her dress.

I asked for extra fabric to be added to the sides of the dress, because it felt a bit nude. We also had some blue fabric cut from a departed family members tshirt and stiched into the lining of the wedding dress. This not only acted as something blue, but was there for the family as well. This cost was rolled into the alterations I had requested. My wedding was in October, I called in Feb for an appointment. I had about 6 appointment's with Olga. Each one was timed perfectly, never did I feel rushed. I received SO many compliments on my dress. The store is small but big enough for everyone. Thank you so much Olga for everything. I would not recommend Cape Cod Alterations…read more When we were shopping around for alterations for my daughter's wedding gown, we chose Cape Cod Alterations because we were quoted approximately $260. The gown ultimately needed to be taken in and hemmed. After the first fitting, the dress had been taken in so much under the arms that it was painful for my daughter to wear, requiring an additional trip to have it corrected. When we returned on the date they told us the gown would be ready, it was not finished. As a result, we had to cancel a planned trip to New York so that we could pick it up the following day. When we returned the next day, the fit issue had been corrected, but a sharp piece of boning had been left protruding from the dress, requiring yet another return visit. What was especially frustrating was being told that we needed to pick up the gown quickly because they had had it for too long, were busy with prom season, and did not have room for it--despite the fact that the repeated delays and corrections were not our fault. When I finally picked up the dress, I was shocked to be charged $900. When I questioned the price, I was told the alterations were more extensive than originally anticipated. While I understand that costs can increase, going from a quoted $260 to $900 was unexpected and, in my opinion, unreasonable. The final disappointment came one week before the wedding. My daughter, who lives out of state, came home and tried on the gown only to discover visible chalk marks all along the hemline, and the dress was still too long. We immediately brought it back and asked whether the chalk marks could be removed and the dress shortened to the marked line. We were told they were understaffed that week and could not help us. After paying $900 for alterations, we were left scrambling one week before the wedding and had to find another seamstress willing to rush the work. That cost us an additional $550. The entire experience was stressful, expensive, and disappointing. Multiple return visits, missed deadlines, quality-control issues, a much higher-than-expected final bill, and the refusal to address problems discovered just before the wedding have left us extremely dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I would not use Cape Cod Alterations again.
