My emotions this week were all over the place. I had to drop off my son for basic training and when we were about to rush out the door, my son realized he had to print 2-22 page documents. When I was about to print the documents, of course, my printer decides not to work. I was calling places nearby to see how fast they can have these documents ready...I called this place, spoke to Julie and explained the situation. She was so calm and said, Ill do it right away for you. Went to pick it up and she said.. on the house and thanks for your service. I just broke down in tears. I decided to create my own save the dates for my upcoming wedding and had them printed through this company. It was a great experience! The employees were very polite and helpful. I sent my initial file over on a Thursday afternoon. They called me within a few minutes to get a few details I forgot to include and answer questions that I'd included in my initial inquiry. They explained what was possible/not possible, explained how/why, and gave me some options to consider. Super informational and helpful. I had to fix the dimensions of my original file for it to print correctly and ended up not being able to get to that for a few days because I went out of town. I resent it to them on a Sunday night and received a quote the very next day (Monday). A proof was emailed to me on Wednesday and picked up my order today (Thursday, the very next day). The entire process- even with me taking extra days to resend my file- took a week. Though the whole process from start to finish actually only took four- the only hold up was on my end. I'm so appreciative to them for their time and attention - and of course, for the extremely fast processing time. I highly recommend this print shop. I'll definitely use them again in the future. I'm incredibly appreciative to Minuteman for making this item on our never-ending "wedding planning checklist" the smoothest and least stressful part thus far. Went there to get an infographic resume printed (which was designed as a trifold brochure/pamphlet) along with a 8x3.25 picture booklet that would have to be hand stapled (one staple) and we would be responsible for attaching them to the inside of the tri-fold. The guy at the front Josiah was very nice and seemed very excited, because they had never had a project like this. We gave them a print ready file, with proper specifications and bleed, and I waited on the quote (for 100). When I met with the owner, she was pretty disinterested in the project and seemed like it would inconvenience her too much to take it on, but said they would send me a quote within 24 hours. I get the quote, for $156 and some change. I priced this online, and i would spend about 40 more with Minuteman, but wanted to give my business locally. So I paid my deposit, but then I received a receipt for the deposit saying I still owed $193 (and some change). I was super confused, I went to review the quote and found that there was a page 2 attached. Never in my mind did I imagine that there was a second page, because the details were pretty simple. So not only did she quote $156 for the trifold (which was a no brainer, it was a print ready file) she was charging $133.00 for the picture booklet. Once again, this was a PRINT READY FILE, we never used their design services, we just wanted stuff printed. I could really care less if she didn't want my business or to take on the project. What I do care about is that my time was wasted waiting for a quote, and thinking I was going with them, when she purposely quoted a much higher rate, because she knew no one in their right mind would pay $289 (plus $20 in tax for a total of over $300) for 100 tri-fold brochures and the simple picture booklet. Funny thing, I went with an online printing company, and with their coupon I purchased the entire project plus express shipping for $125.00. Thanks for nothing Minuteman Press. I can guarantee I'd never recommend them or give them my business in the future. read more
