I saw a nurse practitioner here and I was very happy with my treatment. As mentioned by other…read moreusers, I was initially hesitant because of negative reviews, but I felt so awful that I was willing to take the chance. I'm glad that I did. After several days of nausea and vomiting I needed IV fluids and anti-nausea meds. They were very kind and looked in on repeatedly as I was receiving fluids; they didn't forget about me as they juggled dealing with other patients. In the past I used Ashburn NOVA Medical, but they stopped urgent care services after merging with INOVA. Medics in Ashburn is a good alternative, especially when compared to a $1200 ER visit for the same services (the last time I was this sick I went to INOVA Ashburn healthplex).

Got the results and received a call on Saturday that the NP would like to discuss the labs. Called the office atleast 7 times before I could get through. I scheduled a phone call at 1:00 pm and waited for the call back but nothing. Then I called multiple times again and received a message say the NP will only do a televisit so they can charge me $35 for copay and charge my insurance. I messaged back saying I do not want to do a televisit and would like to discuss my labs over a phone call. My labs were really bad and needed immediate attention and medication. But because I refused to pay medics USA did not even care and did not call me. Monday again I called several times and they gave me the same crap that doctor will be able to give your appropriate treatment if they see you in person. Excuse me my labs are in front of you so that should be enough to decide what treatment is required. They are not doctors they are cons. The entire practice is a con

Well. I thought that I would have a higher review for this place. But unfortunately I don't at this…read moretime. Which is unfortunate due to my first visit being amazing. I was in some pain and needed to see someone. I spoke with Michelle( I think her name was) and was very pleasant and kind on the phone. I get there and the provider was just as kind as Michelle. That day, Michelle was working as; Medical Assistant, Lab Technician and receptionist. Which those are 3 different jobs btw. I needed some lab testing and they were very gentle despite my situation. Then- this is where it kind of went down hill. I was summoned to come back due to an "error" with the lab. I was very hesitant as this was very painful procedure. It was a different provider and this one - not so gentle hands. I was ready to walk out. I was in tears in the exam room from so much pain. I could hear the assistant apologizing profusely while I was laying on the bed. Not to mention this provider opens the door while a male was standing at the door while I not fully dressed. When done, I walked out almost in tears. During this. They have an option to text a number. Forget that. I have been texting them questions since July 7( now July 13) and YET no answer. So don't bother with that. To make matters worse. I get yet ANOTHER call saying the lab messed up my SECOND sample and had to come in again. I cried. I said so your lab messed up a second time?! I get there- very unhappy. I'm irritated at this point. My original provider comes in. I made a comment about this being the third time and she was confused. Apparently it was NOT documented that I came in the previous day to take samples so the employees the next day weren't aware. Imagine my relief but extreme frustration. Still waiting for confirmations and questions. So I'm really disappointed in this place. I was very pleased with my first visit. But I don't know.

It's a real no-frills medical-care operation, but I have always found the clinic staff to be wonderful. You can check the wait times online and get on the list in advance (I like to use the CVS app for this), but you can also walk in without preregistration. When you arrive, you sign in on a computer, and a screen shows the wait list (by initials, not full names) so you know if there are people ahead of you. When it is your turn to be seen, the practitioner (usually a nurse) will greet you, take you into the exam room, take your ID and insurance, and start the exam. You pay right there in the exam room and go on your way. If the practitioner writes you a prescription, they can either fill it there at the CVS pharmacy, or send it digitally wherever you would like. The best part is, you can then peruse CVS for whatever other OTC medications you might need before you go home. I went to this MC twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times I was desperately in need of medical care, and I learned that it's impossible to get into my primary care physician's office same day. First I had poison ivy, and the nurse at this MC was so unbelievably compassionate to my condition. She ran out into the store to find Tecnu wash. She didn't just tell me to get it, she went and grabbed it for me, and sent me on my way with a prescription to fight the rash. A week later I was sick and again couldn't get in to see PCP. I used the CVS app to check wait times at MC and registered when it was down to 15 minutes. I left my office at 3 pm. I was home on the couch with antibiotics and tea by 4 pm.

Please tell me how this is a minute clinic and I've been waiting in pain almost an hour? To have service that sticks with the name, more than one doctor onsite would be a good start. Since I'm in such pain, I am waiting, but this wait is truly unacceptable.

I chose the Minute Clinic inside CVS on South Lakes Drive in Reston as it is very close to my home. I received top-notch, first class care here and wanted to share this with others who are contemplating using this hub. I saw Grace Soistman, NP, and Obal, NR, who were knowledgeable, professional, and caring. They carefully explained my options and the initial procedure they recommended. I especially appreciated their caution in trying a less invasive procedure first. Because I used ear drops to dissolve the wax, I avoided the possibility of using an intrusive instrument that could possibly damage my ear drum. After using the drops for 10 days, I returned to find one ear was completely clear and the other only needed a curettage to scoop out the remaining wax. I left with a big smile on my face and thankful for the great care I received. They gave me a summary sheet outlining my treatment, the causes of wax build-up, and how to keep from getting build-up in the future. Finally, they sent the information to my primary care provider. I had no idea this was covered by Medicare. The charge was reasonable and much less than an urgent care center.
