There was a time when this UPS. store was well run and dependable, but that was a long time ago…read more I've been truly annoyed by that store several times because they refuse to correct their hours or at one time made them up as they went. This morning I needed to drop off a package. Just drop it off , it didn't need anything else done to it. I checked to see what the closest branch was to me and this branch on Harlem in the plaza with Tops at Kensington was very close. It was opening at 9:00am and it was 8:54 so I thought that was perfect. I drove over ( thinking they must be better by now) and pulled up in front and parked and started doing some paperwork I needed to do while I waited. After a time I realized there didn't appear any sign of activity at all. Look at the hours on door , I said to myself!!!! 10:00am not 9:00 am as it said on line. And I remembered that was the case a year ago when I last came here or there about. Why would a business that is a franchise, so privately owned , be run in this manner? How difficult would it be to change your hours on line to prevent your customers from wasting their time and gas going and waiting at your store? I even tried to message them to suggest they correct their on line hours but the form would not go through. It's very distressing at a time when we truly want to support the family owned and run business, that they aren't helping themselves.

I brought in an antique photo of my great-grandparents that's been framed for the past 101 years…read more After removing it from the frame, I was surprised how sturdy it was after all this time. Anyhow, I wanted to scan the photo to add to my family's digital file. I needed the 'large' scanner because the 'flat' scanner only scans images up to 11" x 17" in size. The 'large' scanner has two rollers that feed the photo into the scanning mechanism. This is where things went wrong. I should note: the gentleman working there was very nice and warned me that the photo 'may not make it' and he was absolutely correct. The machine tore my 101-year-old photo in two places. Not in the center, but it was still damaged. I got home and re-framed the photo; the damage isn't super noticeable but it is definitely there. When I opened the JPG file from my flash drive: it did not even scan the entire photo! This may be the machine's fault, or it may be the nice gentleman's fault for trying to grab the photo to 'save' it from the machine; or a combination of both. Five stars for the nice gentleman who works there, zero stars for the machine.
