These guys were great! We moved a 4 bedroom home that had a ton of furniture. They offered to come to give me a quote, but I thought I knew what we needed and reserved the truck and asked them to send two guys to pack the truck. Well, a long story short, I underestimated the amount of stuff we had, and the size of the truck we needed. We needed two additional trucks. I was able to get one from Uhaul and minute men said I could use the truck they came in! They saved the day! Not only did they provide the additional truck, but the two guys spent nine hours packing all three trucks! If I was them, I would have been frustrated and not had a good attitude, but these guys finish the job and were pleasant the whole time. They did an exceptional job! When we unpacked at the new house, they brought 4 guys and did all three trucks in 3 1/2 hours. They were pleasant and professional! I hired Minuteman Movers to load a POD for a cross‑country move, and unfortunately, my experience was terrible. The movers did not wrap any of my furniture. When I questioned them, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem as long as the POD was packed that same day. That turned out to be completely wrong. When the PODs were opened four months later, every single piece of furniture was damaged -- every piece. To make matters worse, after the job was done, I needed a receipt for my employer, and it took weeks of texting and following up with the owner to finally get one. The whole process felt unprofessional and sketchy. I've worked with several moving companies during this relocation, and Minuteman Movers was the only one that gave me such an unreliable and frustrating experience. First off the truck they used was to small, half of my stuff they left behind because there wasn't enough room for it, They broke the legs on my couch, they broke my queen slay bed frame they broke two standing lamps, they crammed everything in one room they disregarded the boxes being labeled where to put them they complained the entire time while moving my items saying we have to much stuff! They knew that it was a two bedroom apartment being moved. They we're shouting at my sister very disrespectfuly making her cry and upset her deeply, my sister is a senior citizen and disabled they didn't care about that at all THIS JUST HAPPENED 10/24/24 Craig and Steve are the names of the movers. I would leave 0 stars if I could. We spoke twice over the phone about price and location of the move then through text. We confirmed the price two weeks before we were scheduled to move and then confirmed the dates. I then texted him to confirm the time a week prior. He confirmed for the following weekend the time and date. It is now an hour and a half after the window they have we called they said we cancelled and discussed a distance few over the phone which we have not talked about once. I am now of course having to figure out how I am going to move with an injured back and an infant. Thank you Minute Men movers. Honestly the most unprofessional movers I've ever dealt with. Craig (owner of company) and the young man who worked with him are not professional movers. I've hired movers several times in the past in the last few years and have a decent idea of how professional movers work. Craig refused to put blankets on any of my furniture until it was in the truck. On the way to the truck from my apt multiple pieces of my furniture were damaged. What professional mover doesn't cover all the furniture with blankets and securely tapes it in place??? He also doesn't use straps to move the furniture and relies on dollies. Are you serious???!!! It's pretty obvious that Craig has some mental deficiencies that impact his ability to communicate and comprehend. Thus there was no point in me arguing with him. read more

I am a caregiver for a woman with learning and physical disabilities. I worked with Minute Men through a county waiver program when my client needed to move. I have concerns. A few days before moving day, a representative called my client. He asked what furniture the company would be moving. My client was a little taken aback because she had already submitted photos of all the furniture. She asked if he would rather she refer to a list she made, email or text the list, or resend the photos. The representative said, "Nevermind," and hung up. I was present for the conversation and it struck me as odd. Hours before the movers arrived, I moved all the furniture into the living room or hallways for the movers' convenience. I cleared some walking paths. We made the space as accessible as possible for people who would be moving bulky items. I was helping direct the movers that day. We pointed out the furniture we needed them to move in case. I remembered the odd phone call and wanted to make sure no one was confused. We also clarified that we were planning to move the boxes and smaller items ourselves and only needed their services for the furniture. This is what was within the waiver's budget After a couple of hours, they had extra room in their truck and were running ahead of schedule, so they offered to take some extra items. My client agreed. They were able to fit about a dozen boxes which my client had already packed and sealed. Even then, they finished ahead of schedule. They even commented on how fast everything went and how exciting it was to have an easier day than normal. By that point, my client and I were both feeling that the move was going well. We left the old house early and planned to meet the movers at the new house. The movers, Matt, Jonathan, and Wesley, asked for reviews and tips. We agreed because we were both impressed with how well they handled moving things on a hot day in a setting with a lot of stairs. I also noticed how pleasant they were throughout the process. That afternoon, my client and I returned to the old house to clean up some more. My client then noticed some valuable items missing, including a necklace worth several hundred dollars. My client noted that the necklace's satchel had been closed that morning, but was open and empty that afternoon. As a disabled adult, my client is at extra risk of people trying to take advantage of her. I can imagine how someone who meant to do harm might assume my client is an easy target if all they knew was that she is a disabled woman with a caregiver. My client works full time and is her own guardian. She has good insight and no history with memory loss or paranoia. My client insists that she knows where she last saw the missing items. In my time working with my client, I have found that when she is this adamant about something, she is usually right. I went ahead and helped my client report the missing items to the moving company and make a police report, but nothing has turned up. After the move, a representative from the company, "Craig," got in touch with my client's main case manager. He stated that he was on site on the moving day. He claimed that the move took longer and was more complex that the movers expected. He even claimed that my client asked for help packing. Craig's claims were false. Three men were on site that day, and he was not one of them. My client did not ask for help packing, but the movers chose to offer extra services because they had extra space and time available. All the items she had moved were already packed for easy transport. Additionally, the move took less time than expected, even with the extra cargo. I want to believe my client is mistaken. I would like to not believe that people I thought were so nice chose to take advantage of a fellow working class American. I would like to believe that my initial positive impression of these people was not as wrong as it seems to have been. Until we knew what happened, my client is in limbo. We have little choice but to believe that the last items remaining of her late grandparents may be gone, never to be retrieved. read more

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION. Very disappointing. We were told "You're lucky we were able to move you today" We had a scheduled move for 8:30am. I waited until 9:00am and called Craig to confirm our pick up address. I was told that a mover did not show up for work and they would have someone out soon. I did not receive any communication until 10:50am when the movers showed up. The movers themselves were gentle with my stuff and very kind, so with the understanding that the time delay was not their fault, we tipped them generously and provided them waters through out the move. I called Craig and asked for some sort of compensation for the time delay, as I had to miss a work meeting due to the extremely delayed move. He told me that I was lucky they were able to find someone to come in otherwise they wouldn't have moved me. He told me that if they didn't show up until 4-6pm then he would have given me some sort of discount. I continued to tell him that I treated his guys well and tipped them generously. He told me that the tip does not effect him, and that he has to take the hit if he gives me any compensation. I was very distraught at the way he handled my complaint. He told me he would call me back after he talks to his movers to see what he felt was appropriate, he never called me back and he cashed my check. Extremely disappointing service by Craig. I did not hire this company, so I can't speak directly to their moving services. However, they were moving my neighbors in on a Tuesday night. I don't recall when they showed up, but they were still unloading trucks loudly enough to disturb my family in our house at 11pm. I went over to ask if they were going to be done soon so my family could sleep. One of the movers was rude and muttered "I can't believe the nerve of some people." Another mover and the team leader were at least polite and apologized for the noise. They noise continued until about midnight, and their trucks finally left at about 1:30am. I cannot speak to the circumstances that led them to be working loudly in a residential neighborhood so late at night, but I think it probably reflects negatively on their judgment and professionalism. This was, at a minimum, inconsiderate to my family and other neighbors. It was probably also a violation of city ordinances. read more

Left in limbo after moving arrangements where apparently not made despite communication that left me strongly thinking arrangements were in effect by phone and messages. I had to hire alternative movers who thankfully made it happen last minute and cheaper too. It is scary to have to vacate by a certain time and end up in this situation. I liked that they all were skilled with moving. We warned them about a possible snafu with the house closing, which did occur, and because of clear communication on both our parts, were able to accommodate that. Plus, they were all nice guys! Horrible!!!! Don't use these guys! Wish I could give a negative number of stars. First off, they were more than 6 and a half hours late!!!!! Our appointment time was 1pm, they showed up at 7:45pm. Poor communication. The phone caller said "we will be a little late". We kept calling for updates. Secondly, Craig was rude, disorganized, and has a major chip on his shoulder. They damaged a leather couch, and cracked a dresser - not surprised with how rough they were. Didn't use packing blankets, etc. Craig blamed the damage on elevator size and dresser quality.....we had previoualy (twice) moved the pieces ourselves with no problems. Minutemen arrived early and worked carefully to unload a 26' U-Haul truck into our new home in just 2 1/2 hours. They worked diligently and carefully while still being friendly and pleasant. We were very pleased with the service! Scheduling the move was easy as well by filling out the form on their website. If I could knock 1/10th of a star off, our job was initially scheduled for a morning appointment, but when I was called to confirm the job, they said their window for arrival was 12-1pm as they had scheduled an evening job. Craig called back later to let me know that they'd had a cancellation and were able to arrive at 9am which worked perfectly for us. Overall though - I plan on handing out their business cards to my new neighbors. These guys were great! read more

Minute Men Movers are awesome and affordable! I used them once 10 years ago they were super affordable then and they still are now!! My husband & I used them again when we moved 6 months ago. With the added stress of moving in the middle of a pandemic & ONLY Bering allotted a two hour time frame to move out of our building, Jason & Wesley worked their tails off to get us moved out with such short time constraints. Craig the gentleman who is the owner of the moving company is always prompt & professional with all communication. Earlier reviews had me skeptical, but I (and they) could not have been more wrong. Craig and Minutemen Movers were amazing for my move! I discussed the concerns listed on Yelp with Craig in advance and he was extremely open about the issues (which were with the customer not listening, versus him not saying). I was told upfront exactly what the cost was, and the bill at the end was not a penny more. In addition, Craig's staff were incredible! They were careful, meticulous, but timely in their efforts. Every piece of furniture was cared for as if it was their own, being sure to put extra padding and support where needed. They did not delay or lag on their efforts, and we finished in exactly 2 hours as expected. I would not only recommend Minutemen movers to anyone out there, but already know i will be booking them again for our next move in the future. Minutemen movers is cheaper than anyone out there, but you do not get lesser quality or service. The hourly rate is great, and the additional truck rental fee was more than acceptable. Worst communication!!!! This company damage my furniture and no response after I paid them. This company is not professional as they advertised. They were two hours late. Didn't wrap my furniture as they promised. They damaged almost every piece of my bedroom furniture. Instead of carry my furniture in, they rolling in. I told one of the guy not to rolled the furniture in and he said it was too heavy. They didn't complete move all my stuff in. Only making one trip. I didn't receive any receipt or contract after I paid them in cash. I requested for it and he said I have to call the owner for a copy because I paid in cash. I reported and send photos of the damaged items to the owner an hours after. The owner told me he will get back to me. A week after, I text him again and he call me back after one week. He said he doesn't know what is going because he didn't talk to his worker yet. He will call me back and find out more from the worker. Another week went by and the owner still didn't call me back or responded to my text. I would said get your money to a more professional company instead of minutes men professional LLC. Once they get your money and run from the damage they made. If you have cheap furniture and don't care then use them but if you have expensive furniture like mine then us someone else. read more

TL;DR - we had stuff to move and they moved it very cheaply. I read a number of strong reviews here on Yelp and thought I'd give them a try. After coming over for an estimate, I thought Craig seemed like a straight shooter. I decided to go with them because they offered the best rate and people seemed to have a good experience. Things went downhill from there, however, starting with the moving agreement. It looked like a report that was slapped together by a teenager at 2 AM the night before it was due. More critically, as an attorney, I actually read the fine print and noticed several errors that would create serious problems if something went wrong. I had to go back and forth with Craig to get him to understand that I had changes before I would agree to hire them. Ultimately, we reached an understanding, but I then to confirm and reconfirm our moving date, which gave me the impression that he wrote it down on a post-it note, but kept losing it. Things got even more dicey when I asked for a copy of the company's insurance. It took several days for Craig to get back to me and then, the document I got showed that it had expired months ago! After some frantic phone calls, including a call with the company's insurance agent, I finally got a copy of the current policy. I was on the fence about going through with everything after all that, but I decided to stick it out. The day before the move, Craig called to confirm and I reiterated that we needed the guys to come as close to 8am as possible because we had to get to our closing on the complete opposite side of town by 11. The guys didn't show up until 8:46. Needless to say, we were extremely frustrated. On the positive side, I had planned for this and had boxed up just about everything and had it all in my garage, so all they had to do was load it up onto the truck. At least once they got to our place the guys were literally running. It all worked out in the end. The guys were courteous and efficient. Only a few things got scratched because they weren't wrapped in moving blankets, but I had to leave before they got to it, so I wasn't able to tell them it needed to be done. I had hoped they might have assumed it needed protection, but I can't really blame them for not reading my mind. In any case, they got our stuff out of the old place on time and to our new place at a very reasonable rate, probably half what the other guys would have charged. If you work with them, be very diligent on the front end, because they do good work otherwise. Also, they take credit cards, but charge you a fee. Make sure you don't pack your checkbook. read more

Price quoted was accurate as well. The owner called a couple times to verify time/location. Overall I would recommend as long as you arent on an exact precise schedule. We recently used Minute Men movers to unload a 26' truck into a new, huge house. The guys were incredible and communicated well with me prior to the services and during. They offered advice, they were so kind, and they moved quickly; even after getting stung by some ground bees we were unaware of! I would highly recommend them. I thought I would hire movers rather than recruiting my sons. Found Minute Men on Craigslist after contacting 3 other moving companies. I gave a detailed description of my needs: Moving from 420 sf studio apartment to another 3 blocks down the street. I gave addresses for both. I would move in July 1. In the first email response, I was asked all the same questions I previously answered in my initial email. Both a quote, and a response of, "oh, sorry, didn't see that," came in within an hour or two. Woo hoo! $150 less than the "You Move Me" quote. I replied "yes" and asked them to sent me a contract. Guess they don't have contracts. I re-replied saying, "Let's plan on the 1st, but I'll call you if I can move in earlier." I called 2 weeks ago, and requested a move on the morning of the 29th - today. They had no record of me. No name, no details.. I repeated everything again, and reminded the guy on the other line of the dollar amount I was quoted. "oh, I found it," he says. "We can do 1pm on the 29th, is that OK?" Sure that'll work. With everything packed and ready to go, I called Minute Men at 12:30 to see if the movers were on schedule. "Who is this? How big is your apartment? What email address did you send a confirmation to, 'cuz I can't find anything from you. I told you to send me an email! What's your name again?" Admittedly, I went on a hysterical f-bomb rant. When I suggested that the moving company should use a better reservation system than sticky notes on the walls, he accused me of badgering him. I accused him of being a mother-f-ing, bona fide, f-f-f@*%! idiot. He said, "I'll make a call and call you in 5 minutes. He called me back 22 minutes later...after I found someone else to move me. Wesley and Manuel were absolutely amazing! We had used them two years ago when we moved into our last place, and used them again this time because we had such a great experience the first time. They were polite and on time, fast, efficient, and so hard working! It was ninety degrees, humid, AND they needed to carry our boxes up stairs but they moved us out of one apartment and into another in three hours, not even stopping for a break. As others have said, Craig is unorganized and unprofessional. He also lies about charges. The movers were slow and inefficient. They did not wrap any of my belongings and scratched all my wood pieces. They also did not re-assemble my belongings properly, stating that some screws were "unnecessary". There was a period of time that I could not find them for about an hour. They left the truck wide open and had my belongings strewn from the truck throughout the lobby for anybody to take. When they finally finished they sat around like Craig's goons waiting for me to finish payment. Craig tacked on a few extras that were never mentioned and tried to say the hours were more than they were. I do NOT recommend them. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. My move was just 3 days ago. I would say Wesley and Demitri rocks! Both were awesome and did a job well done! They tried so hard to fit my stuff into the truck that was sent by Craig who made a big mistake sending the small truck rather than the bigger one. Wesley and Demitri was a great team and handled my stuff with care. They should be rewarded and paid for the hard work they do. I like the positive attitude this 2 guys have. It was great working with them. Craig is not the best at all. Not very organized. He came over to my house to see how much stuff I have so he can determine what size of a truck I would need. He said that the small was good enough. I booked my move 3 weeks away. I also told him I would need at least 4 wardrobe boxes. Long story short, his guys didn't bring me any wardrobe boxes because he didn't tell them and sent them the small truck that didn't fit all my stuff. I used Minutemen movers for a full house move from Minneapolis to rochester. The owner is a little disorganized with pricing, contracts, timing and dates but if you don't mind reminding him or correcting a contract at times it will work out. Craig confirmed the night before for 8:30-9am. At 8:45am, two movers showed up with two trucks. Wesley and Manuel were VERY good movers. They packed two trucks full and we didn't have a single item scratched or broken. I'd recommend them to anyone. Friendly and were experienced to know how to load a truck. The whole house was loaded in 3 hrs and unloaded in under two with my wife and I helping. Overall the move was about $750 after truck charge and gas because it was an out of town move. Considering two people for 8 hrs were moving/driving and two trucks; that was a great price! Very happy with Manuel and Wesley. If you can deal with a little confusion at times before the move then this is a great option and affordable. read more

When we finally got thru the list of movers we came to minute men movers. Everyone else said they could not do it on the 1st, however, minute men said yes. They asked what we had which is 2 adults a child and a big dog. So I said 3 beds no couches because they bought new and had it delivered. I did say besides the bed there was small furniture bedside tables a dresser boxes and tubs a small desk and chair a later book case and a gray small cabinet. They told me it would've late afternoon but they could do it. I didn't mind waiting it actually worked well and we were happy we have moves. My husband has had 2 severe back surgeries he is not able to lift anything, I have multiple autoimmune diseases which causes severe chronic pain. They showed up at 6:30 and the 1 gentleman seemed upset and as I was showing what went he got a little rude per my daughter and he just kept going on and on it's so much stuff. My daughter and her friend had service men and delivered set up for morning so I finally said I guess we will help carry stuff to the truck and loaded the light stuff in all our cars and there truck. The whole time loading you could just feel how mad he was. Which that's why we needed movers. We finished at my house and drove to there new house. When we arrived more people came out to help carry and unload the cars and truck. Then the one mover lifted her dresser up by the small board in back lifting it and completely broke it unrepairable. Well we got a sorry guess that will help to pay for another one. Then the movers had left some carrying equipment at my house so I had to fly back there to get it for them. Now by this time I hurt so back I could hardly see straight I went home to take a shower and go to bed and I literally cried standing in the shower because I hurt so bad and pain meds were not helping. The real kicker about the whole deal is I had to pay them 290.00 dollars for the pleasure of moving my daughters belongings. I guess should have just rented a truck myself moved it ourselves maybe we would not be 290.00 down and buying a new dresser. P. S. As a side note the gentleman working with the owner was great if he seen my carrying something he ran over to me to take it. But his boss barked orders at him yelled at him. If he was my boss I would not have taken it. I paid the bill and because it was 10 pm I gave the 2 movers some money to stop for burgers and a drink I wonder if he shared it with him. Jeff and Wes - what a rockstar team. I used another company last year (not to name names but rhymes with few den and amok) and was so disappointed and ripped off. I was told by a friend who had used minute men before. (Jeff and Wes moved her twice before). I was please at how fast these two guys were and so efficient. And really friendly. I seriously am going to recommend them to everyone I know. I don't know how many other teams are at this company but whenever I move again I am going to request them specifically.
