I came here for the first time a couple days ago with my 2 kids. They were getting their braces, and were very reluctant about it because they were scared. But, walking in, it feels so friendly and welcoming. They also have games and things to keep you entertained while you wait. When it was their turn, the staff answered all our questions and was so nice and patient. I normally don't write reviews, but I think that this deserves one. read more

Here's what I'll say about Dr. Truong and everyone else in the office: My two kids never dreaded going to see the orthodontist. In fact, I think sometimes they actually enjoyed it. The staff is warm and helpful and never complained when we needed to make a change to an appointment. My kids' teeth were a mess and they had to have quite a bit of work, but Dr. Truong and the staff gently helped them through it. Happy kids, straight teeth, no trauma. read more

When my two front teeth decided they wanted to switch places I paid Dr. Truong a visit. My braces were long gone, and I wore my retainer religiously as prescribed by my previous orthodontist. Even so, my teeth were starting to cross like a Siamese cat's eyes. Dr. Truong worked his magic on my retainer to fix my chompers. In just a few months, voila, my smile was picture perfect again. Thanks, Doc. read more

Dr. Truong and his whole staff are amazing. I was referred to Dr. Truong when my orthodontist moved out of state. Although I live in San Gabriel Valley, I decided to go with Dr. Truong because he was willing to complete my Invisalign treatment and was very accommodating. On top of it all, the prices and flexible payment options were very reasonable for my student budget. The office staff is very on top of things. They help you keep track of your appointments with emails, text messages, etc. You don't ever feel like just a client here because they are all so friendly and get to know you. It makes for a very comfortable experience every time. Mint Orthodontics was definitely worth the drive for me! Very happy with my outcome. read more

Dr Johnson gives undivided personal attention to the prospective patients and their families and goes to great lengths to explain what and why he is proposing for them. He commits to the care of the young patient (phase I) until all their permanent teeth come in and does not play games with fees and extra charges or stipulations. His proposal is as straightforward as it is comprehensive. I am looking forward to a great relationship with Dr Johnson and expect nothing but the best for my child. I will update this review and the rating as necessary as my child's treatment goes on. The offices are bright, clean and professional looking and staff is extremely nice. read more

Mint Orthodontics - Dr. Peter Truong, me, Dr. Greg Johnson - Orthodontists Near Me - Irvine, California

Dr. Truong has treated my son for braces for a year and half now. He is very knowledgeable in what he does. I am a dentist myself so I am very picky in who sees my son. Not only is Dr. Truong professional but he's very thorough and smart. He graduated from UCLA dental school and has been a board certified orthodontist for many years. His staff is very friendly and I love all the little fun activities that he has in his office. His office is very clean and high tech. I refer all my friends and family members to Mint Orthodontics. read more

I had braces when I was in middle school and since then, my teeth and bite have shifted a bit. So I decided to do another round of treatment. I was recommended to Dr. Truong by my mom because she did her braces with him. When I first went in, I had no idea what my options would be (either braces again or Invisalign) but Dr. Truong gave me my options, explained the process, and we both decided that Invisalign would be the best for me. 1.5 years later, I am all done with my treatment and couldn't be happier! He was one of the reasons why I am so pleased with my result because he is very professional, intelligent, compassionate, and also super super friendly. He is definitely one of the doctors that really care about his patients. Also, his office staff is phenomenal. They always communicate with me so well anything related to my appointments and always found ways to accommodate to my schedule. I was working in San Diego, so I only could make it to Saturday appointments throughout the year but they always made it work for me. Thank you so much, Mint Orthodontics! read more

I just want to tell everyone about my horrible experience with mint orthodontics. Initially we were treated very nicely and they seemed very professional and competent but soon the brackets started following out. After the first two came out they told us that this was normal and then just left them off. I told myself that they're the professionals so I went along with it although it seemed strange to me. Then another came out and another. When my wife went to inquire about it, they started to become very agitated and unfriendly. Keep in mind this is only within a week of the original installation of the hardware. We had enough and lost all confidence and asked them for a refund. We went back to our dentist who removed the braces and we waited for our refund. A week after they said they would mail it out it still hadn't been sent. My wife had to go back and they finally gave us a partial refund. They charged us $800 for defective work and we were glad to be out of there. Just a warning for anyone who is thinking of using this orthodontist. read more

Dr. Truong is wonderful, and the hot coco in the lobby is good. He does ortho well and is good at his job.

This place is *truly* amazing. I was on my second round of braces (wear your retainers people!) and when Dr. Truong took over as my primary ortho it was beyond refreshing. After a couple of years of frustration, I had a fresh set of knowledgeable eyes looking at my teeth and using innovative ideas to get things moving. The entire office staff is incredible, caring, and are genuine beyond measure. It's a rare quality to have in any Southern California medical office and was definitely something I missed having moved here from a small town. I was blessed with an amazing experience and a beautiful new smile. I highly, highly recommend!!! read more

I am so happy I came to Irvine Village Orthodontics to get my Invisalign done. Dr. Truong not only made my teeth straight and pretty he also made my visits very pleasant and easy! I usually dread going to the dental office just because of the dental atmosphere, but Irvine Village Ortho is not your average! Starting from the front office, they have a huge coffee machine where they have a variety of drinks!! Coffee, hot cocoa, tea... I love it so much! The staff is also really friendly, they don't make you feel rushed or pressured at all. I went to one more dental office before I came here and I felt really pressured and rushed to make a decision on whether or not I wanted to start my Invisalign treatment. Dr. Truong answered allllll my 99999 million questions and then some. The best part is, he cares about how YOU want your smile to look like, so if you have suggestions, he listens and also explains the pro and cons. Thank you Dr. Truong!! I lovee my new smile so much read more

Dr. Truong and his staff are excellent. I've been with them since 2014 with Dr. Johnson and have continued coming here. They have always been professional, fun (as fun as braces can be), and helpful. As a patient I feel cared for and appreciated. All questions and concerns are taken are of. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest orthodontist that can handle the most difficult of cases and the office is also very modern. The entire process in straightening my janky teeth with Dr. Truong and his amazing staff was pleasant from start to finish. I went in for my initial exam and Dr. Truong was very upfront with me on how best to tackle my crooked teeth and he set expectations on a realistic timeline and what I needed to do on my end to help ensure a great finishing result. My work schedule was a bit crazy this past year or so but Dr. Truong was always accommodating to me in order to have me come in to make sure every thing was on track. Him and his staff did their best to see if there was any wiggle room in costs and if my insurance could help in any way since he knew I was not a millionaire and that was much appreciated by me. He is also is a man of his word as he had promised me if I fulfilled my duties as a patient that I would be the recipient of a custom Supreme mouth-guard for my hoop dreams and hypebeast life. There is only one in existence in the world...maybe probably. I highly would and will recommend Dr. Truong to anyone looking the be the best version of themselves as far as teeth goes in the future. read more

I am so happy to have found This office! I highly recommend anyone who needs braces to come here. Such a modernized office with the latest technology and they have an in house X-ray machine! . I have been to a few orthodontic offices and all of them referred my stepson out for X-rays; moreover, there's a Separate fee for the referred X-ray lab. *which was very inconvenient and expensive.* Dr. Peter took his time examining my stepsons teeth and gave us varies options because he does have a severe case.
