All of us with kids know at young ages they are not the best brushers so it's important to go to the dentist for oral health. Trey, my Medical Assistant was also really nice, did an efficient job of taking my vitals, and listened attentively to me when I answered questions about the reason for my visit, medical history and meds. He also made me feel welcome and comfortable. Finally, Dr. Capawana is wonderful! He, too, was very attentive in listening to me, never interrupted or rushed me, and thoroughly examined my toe and foot. He explained my diagnosis in terms I understood clearly, answered my questions, explained my treatment options, treated my toenail issue painlessly and expertly, and provided me with very clear post-treatment care instructions. The vein clinic I now go to in Spokane said they will not perform the laser ablation on lower calf because of nerve damage. The whole experience has been a traumatic one for me. Not only that but Dr. Para's nurses downplayed my numerous phone calls after surgery due to concerns and anxiety and Dr. Para downplayed everything I mentioned to him about my results saying it was due to my age and projecting it back on me. Actually 51 is quite young. I am disappointed that i did not seek a second opinion after my initial consultation with him.

This wasn't the real issue though; I ended up getting a bill in the mail for almost $200 from them for the eye appointment despite being told multiple times that they had talked to my insurance company and there would be no cost to me. This feels very deceptive because I probably wouldn't have gotten the exam if I knew how much it would cost. I also was only notified that they had the wrong information and that I would need to pay something by getting a bill in the mail. There was no phone call, email, or notification through their portal. This feels like a major issue to me because mail can get lost and not everybody regularly checks their mail since so many things are paperless nowadays. When I called about this situation they were very rude to me and didn't apologize at all. Please stay away from this place at all costs if you're looking for financial transparency.
