I decided to try a new wash and fold service and I am so happy I went with Ming's! I called them at 8:30 am (right when they open) and at 9 am they came to pick up my laundry! The guy even came up to my floor to pick it up for me. I got a call at 1:45 pm that my laundry was ready. They came 15 mins later to drop it off. They have an 8 lb minimum for $12 and then charge $1.10/lb. This place is reliable and responsive! My new go-to wash and fold service. Highly recommend!!! read more

Saw their card in the lobby of our apartment building and decided to give this place a try. Happy to say they did a fantastic job on our laundry. All our clothes were washed and folded and packed nicely. The clothes also had a nice laundry smell which I loved. They are priced quite reasonably as well compared to other laundry services in the area and offer free same day pick up and delivery if you schedule the pick up before 10 am so we decided to try it out and we were pleasantly surprised at how great the service was. I was in search of a new wash and fold service, with pick-up and delivery, as there aren't many options near me, and the service I was using previously raised their prices. I found Ming's through a business card they left at the front of my apartment building. They advertised free pick-up and delivery, and priced wash and fold at $1.00/lbs. To say I'm blown away is an understatement. I've used a few services here in NYC but Ming's is the best so far! I called to set up a pick-up time and someone was here to pick up in less than 10 minutes. I got a call in less than 24 hours saying my laundry was ready and I was able to pay over the phone and schedule the delivery. My laundry was delivered just as quickly as it was picked up! My intercom/buzzer system wasn't working at the time so I went down to retrieve my laundry and the man who was delivering it asked if he could bring the laundry all the way up to my apartment-- a 5th floor walk-up! I was then able to sign and tip (which I was very inclined to do!) on the receipt. My clothes are exactly what you'd expect. Laundered, folded, and in great condition. I am very impressed with Ming's and plan to use them again in the future! read more

I have to brag on them for my most recent experience. I was heading out of town and had worked late - meaning they were closed by the time I got home. I gave them a call and explained that I had an early morning flight and desperately needed my clothes to pack. They went above and beyond, and even though they were closed and their delivery person was no longer there, someone came after hours and hand delivered my laundry! I have been using Ming's for over a year now and am extremely happy with the service I've gotten. The most important thing to me in a laundry service is consistency, quality & timing. They have been very accommodating to my schedule - coordinating and calling to ensure I'm home before coming to pick up or dropoff. My clothes are always completed in a timely manner and folded nicely. I have never had any problems. In fact, they have called a couple of times over the last year to confirm I was sure I wanted them to dry a couple of items. Several people in my building are now using Ming's as well! Ming's is great - when you call for pickup they usually get to you within 15 minutes. They usually deliver within the day. So far I've had a good experience here. They pick up and deliver to the doorman in my building. They're quick and efficient. I usually get my clothes back within 2 days even if I drop it off late evening. It's under $2 to clean a button down shirt. I had them also fix a broken seam and they only charged me $5. I used their wash and fold service right before I was moving out of state. The pickup and delivery was fine. My clothes, however, were not. I didn't open my bag until I after had moved and found that my 3 favorite bras had been ruined... Price: How can anyone beat 65 cents per lb in this area for wash-and-fold? Minimum charge is $5 or $7, depending on how much they like you. For dry cleaning, I got a pair of work pants for me was $4.25. Service and quality: It's solid. My pants had spots that didn't come off after the first round of dry cleaning (they told me when I went to pick it up), looked like some tiny permanent paint marks. They cleaned it again with no additional charge. I appreciated that commitment (the spots eventually came off). I would have given them 5 stars if they'd called to tell me so I didn't have to make the extra trip. They also washed my sleeping bag as part of the wash-and-fold, which was nice of them (instead of charging the 'blanket' equivalent price). NOTE: Closing hours are subject to change, depending on how the owners feel on that day. Better to ask in advance or call. read more

I used this service for over a year and recently they have been awful. Destroying clothing and giving me attitude when I complained. Did not offer to replace anything or even discount the service. Terrible customer service. I specifically mark my laundry and they ignore everything. The owner told me he "doesn't care". They destroyed about 6 items from Lululemon totaling in close to $600. They are mean and don't give a rats a** about their clients. STAY AWAY. Trust me. When my boyfriend went to confront the owner, there was a woman ahead of him with an armful of clothing covered in bleach and paint stains. She told the owner to take her info out of the system as did my bf and we will never use them again. This is not UES service. We always tipped the delivery guys 30-40%. B.S read more

I've been sending my laundry to Ming's for 5 years now - one of my longest relationships in NYC! They've never lost an item and I trust them wholeheartedly with everything. They pick up and drop off promptly, my laundry always smells delicious, and most importantly - they are so honest. I once sent a box of detergent with my laundry, and they sent it back saying "we use the same one," rather than keeping it and saving money off of me that way. We also recently sent a wallet along with the laundry - full of credit cards and cash. It was returned to us without a single cent missing. So far so good. Been having mings pick up our laundry every week since moving to manhattan a few months ago. I just leave my bags with doorman and call and they pick it up 20 min later. I get home from work 8 hrs later and its washed and folded waiting for me at the front door. Dru cleaning takes another 12 hrs which isn't bad at all. $0.85 cents per lb. great deal. They have my card on file and auto charge it. Makes everything super easy. Don't even have to think about it. Thats how laundry should be. Theyve never lost or ruined a single thing (knock on wood). I am torn between giving Ming's 2 or 3 stars. They are efficient and affordable. They pick up my laundry pretty much anytime before 7pm 7 days a week. They arrive at my apartment quickly for pick/drop off. It's $.70/lb - I'm guessing it's because they pick up and deliver. My problem? My laundry is always folded really weirdly. Like wrinkle-causing weirdly. Some items are even crumbled into the side of the bag. I basically have to refold everything. I'm going to try a different cleaners this time around. So I highly recommend Ming's if you don't mind refolding. But you probably will have to. Or maybe they didn't like me, who knows? read more

I love Ming's! Wash and fold is only 65 cents/lb. for same-day service. I've dropped a bag of laundry off at 11 and it was ready for me when I returned at 6--a pretty quick turnaround. Ming's is the only wash and fold service I've ever used. I prefer to do laundry myself and am very picky about how my clothes are cared for, but laundromats in this area are so expensive and practically non-existent. So I took a chance on Ming's. Since August, I've dropped my laundry off at Ming's at least 5 times. It's always come back smelling fresh, perfectly and compactly folded with nothing missing and no damage to my clothes. The employees are always courteous and professional as well. They accept credit cards, but I believe you have to charge at least $10. read more

I just love this place so much. They don't charge for pick up and delivery. And they show up for pick up within 5-10 mins of calling them. They charge for next day laundry but you really don't even have to request that because it's ALWAYS ready the next day anyway! I was naughty and had 3!!! huge bags of laundry and it was ready for me before 12 the next day. The delivery guys are really nice and friendly too, they always smile and make light conversation. I am very picky and I have never had an issue with my laundry. My whites are bright and everything smells good and I haven't had any allergic reactions. They also match your socks for you which is nice and they group things together. All my workout items are usually together, towels together etc. I've used them at least 20 times and have yet to complain. For .65/lb this place is a gem! So happy I found them. read more

Truly fantastic service. These guys are always at my place within 20-30 minutes after I call them, the delivery guy arrives with a smile and climbs up the stairs to meet me. They know my address after one time and all I have to give is my phone number and say pickup or drop off. Their prices are unbeatable. I had them do 13 dress shirts for wash and press and 2 full size loads of regular laundry, all came to $40, returned neatly folded and organized within a day. Finally, a decent laundry and dry-cleaning service in the E. 60's at dirt cheap prices! Around here every laundry/dry-cleaning service that I have tried has been overpriced and the only coin operated laundromat (Nick's) within walking distance charges $4.50 for a small load, so Ming's is a refreshing new addition to the neighborhood. Most other economy wash-and-fold places contract out their laundry to a central facility (often losing your clothes), but Ming's does their own laundry. Free pick-up, delivery, same day service, and at the "special" price of merely 65 cents a per pound of clothes. Pressed shirts on a hanger are $1.60. Dry-cleaning for suits are $8.50, dresses are $6.80, and blouses are $4.00. We've been using them for over a month now and so far, so good. Nothing lost, nothing damaged. Service has been consistently prompt, as in, you can call at any time during their business hours and they will come within 15-30 minutes to pick up or drop off your laundry (You can also text, but they send incoherent texts, so I would just call). Did I mention that they are open 7 days a week? I really like this place. I highly recommend it. I hope they'll be able to stay flourish at these prices, and still maintain the quality of service that I've experienced so far. Fingers crossed... read more
