I deducted a star because of the lack of privacy from the Walmart cashiers when you're in wax chairs up front (they do have private rooms for more intimate waxings... bikini, underarms, etc...) And they do not use hard wax which I've grown accustomed to but I'll get use to the strip wax.

Perfect for spring/summer time. Ive also been getting waxed for years and she is really skilled at when to apply pressure. I frequent this shops every 2-4 weeks and I only go here now. I live in Tinley Park and pass a few shops just to go to this one. They always arch my brows exactly how I like and fits my face frame. They have a loyalty card which I appreciate as well. I mainly use them for eyebrow threading but have gone to them for underarm waxing as well. 5/5 stars in my book.

I recently visited this place for a facial, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I…read morehad hoped. First and foremost, there was a complete lack of privacy. The facial was performed in an open area, which made it difficult to relax. I found it uncomfortable to have the front door wide open, I was actually chilly during the service. While I appreciated the efforts to help with my blackheads, it became apparent that the staff here may not be fully certified for facials. My instincts were right; I overheard another customer before my treatment warning me against this place, suggesting they specialize more in eyebrow services. It felt like more of a numbers game here--getting clients in and out quickly rather than providing a quality experience. I cannot recommend this place for facials. it's better to seek out a qualified professional elsewhere. My advice: stick to their eyebrow services if you must visit. Its a hard pass on any other service than eyebrows.

My experience here with Kushi was good overall. And you have to ask them to go back and remove certain spots that they couldn't see of hair left. I feel like as a waxer it's your job to do that and catch that. 2. I find that the younger woman who works with them is very entitled and has an attitude. She walked in on me undressed when she wasn't my waxer because she needed the waxing cart for her client in the room next door. NOT OKAY. I wish I didn't tip. I booked with Kushi again for this month. I showed up on time for my appointment. Kushi was not there. The two girls were not aware of an appointment and were not expecting me. When I asked for Kushi and they saw I was disappointed about her not being there when I specifically booked with her for wax... the younger woman again said something in her language to the other lady about me and that's when they acted like there was no appointment. I went in regardless thought I'd give someone new a try. The wax bottles were not melted at all. We barely did a like 3 strips and she asked to let the wax melt..... I wasn't going to wait and I just felt very annoyed and disappointed. Unprofessional to say the least. I'll never be coming here again. And yes the wax bottles are shared between clients so unsanitary.

It was my first time here yesterday evening. I need to get a few services done before my trip this…read moreweekend. I love that they offer (soft and hard) waxing and threading. They make it easy for you to book online through Square. They did a really good job with threading my eyebrows, lip, chin and neck. I love that it's precise, and she listened to my needs with my eyebrows. They have plenty of free parking on premise, and they also have a punch card. Onto my issues: 1) they do not wear gloves whatsoever for waxing services on your stomach, butt etc. I get it if they don't for face services, but in my experience at any facility that does hair removal, this is the first time where someone did not wear gloves. Yes, she did hand sanitize but it kind of irks me in terms of sanitation. Knock on wood I haven't caught anything yet, and they did get the job done though. I just won't be back for body services because of this. 2) it was one person working there the entire time. I made an appointment, and she was expecting me but there was still a bit of a wait as they take walk-ins as well and I was running a few minutes behind. 3) she would not stop upselling me. I get it - I have been a sales rep before, but it's a problem when I tell you multiple times that I am not interested. I am also not someone who came in for just an eyebrow. What is also interesting to me is that the other people around me who only got an eyebrow service was not upsold. TLDR; I'd be back for facial threading services exclusively, and it is the only thing here that I can recommend to others, unless you are ok with someone touching your body and private areas without gloves.
