We ended purchasing some cleaner crustaceans at the advice of Jim to help keep our new aquarium clean. We purchased Mexican turbo grazer snails, emerald crabs and a Goby. For a while i brought fish here to trade for store credit and would use the credit to get new specimens to freshen the gene pools of my aquariums full of home bred and raised livebearers. Unfortunately, most of the fish i got from here ended up dying within a week or so. I am not sure if it is issues with bad genetics, stress, water chem etc.. All i know is i have established tanks full of a few hundred fish being born, raised and moved on at any time and the only fish i have that die are the ones I get from this store. I do have a healthy Bristlenose Pleco i got from here, and one stunning sailfin molly, so it is not all bad. However, i can say with confidence that 9/10 of the livebearers (swordtail, molly, guppy, platy) i get from here don't make it a month. It is really nice of them to offer credit for stock, (honestly it should be standard but not all stores do it) but unfortunately not only were the fish I was buying back unhealthy, the supplies/food i would buy from there was priced higher than i see elsewhere. Brenden and Cole are 2 really nice and friendly guys who care about the animals and the customers.

I worked for 2 years at Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando where I personally worked as an educator and am extremely impressed. In fact, Carleen one of the owners taught me things the aquarist did not. They are a small business with only one location in the Fox Run shopping center. They are not a commercial chain that has staff with very limited knowledge with their $15.00 per hour job. You have some that think they know everything and make up what they do not know. One example was when I was told a Blood-red Parrot Cichlid was just another form of Gold Fish, Another was when I was told fin rot was just the way that type of fish was supposed to look. I laughed at the first and told the second one they were a waste and walked out. Carleen and Kevin (owners), Perry and Robin are the ones I have worked with. They can tell you about the pairing of species, care, disease and treatments. If they don't know they will tell you and do research (not just a Google look up but research) and let you know. I changed phones and had to look up their phone number when I came across these reviews. It's true they do not offer guarantees on their animals and that's ONLY because the don't and can not know if you transported, acclimated, have the right food, or even had compatible and sustainable environment your animals needs to flourish You see the animal prior to buying it (if you think something is not right don't buy it), you have their attention to ask any questions, etc. If you want a quick purchase that's what you are going get. Some of these reviews sound like people that have no intention or care about the hobby and are come there like it's some kind of zoo with the knowledge of an AI Google Search. Now I am sure not everyone has had the best experience, it's ridiculous to think that, but when I read some of these I can just shake my head. If you want shiny floors, signs that come from a corporate office or someone that will agree with all your opinions to make a sale go to a large chain or order online, Me, I want real knowledge of the animals, care of and proper habitats so I go to Just Fish
