On the chilly day, I decided to beat the cold weather by sipping the Ph Gà : Vietnamese chicken noodle soup cooked in chicken stock served with chicken breast rice noodle and fresh herbs from Mini Mango. It was quite soothing, refreshing and filling. Their Bành Mí sandwich collection looked interesting and i will give them try on my next visit. Beef peanut satay soup

Great service and super friendly. They have a lot of wonderful options for food. I stuck to my usual beef peanut satay. It was good, but definitely not as spicy as three would have you assume. Spring rolls were great. My friend got the vermicelli chicken bowl. The chicken was so juicy and tender. She said it was the best she's ever had. They had clean bathrooms and a lovely and quaint atmosphere.

Came here on a recommendation of a friend. Located in summerside, it's tucked away in a little strip mall. The restaurant style is pretty small and more suited for take-out and not for more than 20 people max. It's a bit of a hole-in-the wall ordeal. My boyfriend and our friend ordered the Bun Bo Hue which he swears by. Im not as adventurous with my food options so I decided to order the Brisket Pho. After placing our order, we grabbed our waters and utensils which were situated on an island near the counter. I liked the idea of the self serve since I drink water like i'm dehydrated and I don't like to bother staff for a million refills. When we got our food, I was pretty disappointed with the broth. It was super bland and I had to douse it in sriracha and hoisin for it to taste a little like regular pho. The owners did reach out to me and let me know they do a more healthy approach to their broth -- which is respectable, but I prefer to go to authentic Vietnamese spots with super flavourful broth. They DO however have really good iced Vietnamese coffee. It's more on the sweet side and not too bitter. If I were to come back I would come back for just the drink. I feel this would be a great spot for people that are just starting to experiment with Viet food. I don't think I would come back just because of the broth but I wish all the best for this restaurant!

Grab your own water & utensils!

Came to Mini Mango tonight at the recommendation of fellow Yelpers while in a part of town I don't normally find myself. The little restaurant itself is quite cute and you almost forget you're sandwiched in a strip mall. It's kinda like Famoso meets Wok Box but better. Walk up & order from the VAST menu, pay, grab your water & utensils and then grab a seat while waiting for your food to come! Tonight, the hubs and I tried the fried prawns wrapped in wonton paper (blah - boring and overpriced), lemongrass veggies with tofus (Yummy), and a Vietnamese sandwich & soup combo (double yummy)! The total came to just under $35 with tip. The lemongrass was excellent and came with a bounty of fresh veggies - red/green peppers, mushrooms, celery, onions, carrots oh my! I looooove a good lemongrass & this did not disappoint (Just under $12 so easy on the wallet, too)! Next up was the Bahn Mi (Lemongrass chicken sub) combo with mini wonton soup (phenomenal) & drink for $9.95 (Another killer deal with dynamite bang for your buck)! Now, if only I could get a Mini Mango on my side of town!

Soup's on!

This is one of my favorite go-to places when I visit Edmonton. It's a very small spot in a strip mall....kind of like a Vietnamese Opa, but with a broader menu and more attention to the food than you'd associate with a typical ethnic fast food place. You won't go there for the decor or ambiance - yes it's neat, clean and nicely decorated in a weird "asia meets Ikea" kind of way, but the food does all the real talking. It's been busy every single time I've dropped in, which has typically been mid-week around 6pm. A wait is not unusual, and their take-out business appears to be very brisk. Haven't tried the pad thai, but the bánh mì (Vietnamese sub sandwiches), lemongrass salad and thai red curry have all been very good. My favorite is their pho ga, which runs a close second to the sublime pho at the Bagolac Saigon in Calgary.

2 colour vermicelli bowl with beef and springrolls

YUM! Nobody wants to cook the night before their vacation. All the dishes are done, the house is clean... You don't want to mess it up again. So, after we dropped the dogs off at doggy daycare, we headed to Mini Mango for some dinner. The staff were really friendly and quite patient with us as we looked through the menu (It was our first time there). We ordered at the counter and took our seats. The food arrived in a very reasonable amount of time, and we were very happy with how everything looked! My mom ordered regular Pho and said it was very flavourful. They provided the typical hot sauce, hoisin, bean sprouts, and mint and she put it all to use. I went with the 2 colour vermicilli bowl. Although tasty, I found it to be lacking flavour slightly. But some added hoisin and hot sauce fixed that! I was very happy with our experience here. I would happily return, and will do so frequently.

Pleasant service Found the crispy egg noodles with seafood bland as well as the salad rolls. Spring rolls where good same as the peanut sauce. To many items in the menu for my liking

A little pricey compared to other places but it is near Summerside so that may explain why. But the food was great and service even better.

It's also generally quiet enough to have a nice conversation, if you're a talker like me. The service was quick and friendly, and they were very good at reccomending dishes! We found this particularly helpful for choosing what meat/protein to put in our meals, and we all agreed that they knew what was best. As for the food, it was the most absolutely wonderful and authentic Thai I have ever had. Every dish was flavourful, fairly priced, and came in a huge portion! We have never gotten a single bad thing there (and we experiment often), and we have never left without takeout containers full to the brim. The leftovers are always amazing, too. I could go on and on about how much I love this restaurant, truly. What a lovely place to dine in St Albert that I wish I had discovered so much sooner! If you're interested in what to try, my favourites are the Pad Thai with chicken, or the Pad See Eiw with chicken or tofu. I'm not a beef lover, but they make it quite well there I will say. The curries are quite good but some of them get fairly spicy, at least for me. The peanut curry is definitely my favourite! As for appetizers, they have these excellent deep-fried crab and cream cheese dumplings that I can never get enough of! Be aware though, there are lots of peanuts used in recipes, so be careful if you have an allergy.

Tried this place twice about a month apart, the food is great but there's inconsistent portions and service can a bit slow as it's a mom & pop restaurant. Seating arrangements are ok but can definitely could use a deep clean/upgrade - old time hole in the wall look, feel & vibe. During our latest visit, the restaurant opened up a few minutes late as owners were running a bit late. Service was slower as there was only one person attending 6+ tables that came in about the same time. The food tasted great but again was inconsistent with portions & plating. We both ordered the same Pad Thai Tom yum at the same time & one plate completely was missing mushrooms & lacked bean sprouts while the other had an abundance. The rice curry dishes are good but could use a much bigger portion of rice.

We are always on the search for Thai food whenever we come to Edmonton and today was no different…read more We didn't want to venture too far into Edmonton and I looked up "Thai restaurant" on Yelp and Thai Corner came at the top of the list. Service was great, very attentive crew. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, no gaudy or cheesy decor. Small , quaint restaurant (I think seating for about 40-ish). We got there shortly before 2pm, was seated right away. It looks like they close at 230 (Sunday) and then reopen at 4 for dinner service. The server did come around before 2pm to ask if there's anything else that we want to order before they shut the kitchen. We appreciated that. Highly recommend them. We will definitely come back and I'll try the salmon Penang curry next time!

But there it was, this bright green little gem. It's not as modern as other places, but the food was fresh and topped up on the buffet + even though not as big as others, there were still a few items I hadn't seen anywhere else. Their broth was good too - we tried the satay & tom yum and both were flavourful. They've been open under the same management for 11+ years! Covid has been tough - they closed completely when dine in was shut down and are just starting to rebuild business (I don't think they do take out but I'm not 100%). It was completely dead when we were there, minus one other table - and they still kept filling the food with fresh items. They kind of fall under the radar, maybe because they're not as flashy as other places? But they are yummy with super nice people - if you're considering hotpot, it's worth checking out! A few things to note: it's one of the cheaper AYCE hotpots in the city (I think it was $26 + $2 for broth - other places are $35-40). AYCE only. No late night or lunch special, the price is the price all day. Cash or debit only.
