So when my cousin decided on her birthday date that she would like to come to this establishment then I got excited. Located on Main Street Newmarket, this little shop has many soups selections to choose from. They also let you have a sample to make sure you're making the right choice! We both decided to get the soup, sandwich and a bottle of water ( $11 ) and boy did we make a good choice. Normally you would except a small soup bowl with a sandwich however this soup was in a HUGE (to me anyways lol) bowl with a full sized sandwich. My soup of choice was the chicken noodle with a ham & cheese croissant. I feel like chicken noodle is always a good staple to determine if it is worth coming back. I must say, it definitely was worth it. The chicken noodle soup was soo filling. Had some hearty vegetables and they definitely did not skip out on the chicken. I had to push myself to finish my sandwich as I was already too full! Thank you for amazing service and I am definitely coming back

An interesting menu where I was told that I need to have the Schnitzel! I had it along with the Hunter's cream sauce (yum!), and garlic mashed potatoes..they were all delicious! Schnitzel piece (I got the chicken) was very big, and the serving was a good size. I should've gotten the rosti potatoes...they looked crispy and mouthwatering..but now I have a reason to go back! We had the raclette to start, and it was an interesting dish. It smelled like socks but tasted great! We sat under a big bell, and when you ring it, it orders you a round of shots. That was a cute touch, I'm sure it's even more fun when the place is packed. All in all, this placed was hyped up and I wasn't disappointed.

They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the items on the menu looked quite 'Swiss.' I tried 'The Classic' and 'The Light Breakfast,' both of which included eggs, toasts, Rösti, and a choice of bacon or Swiss sausage. The Rösti was similar to a hash brown but cooked in a flat way. The service was okay. The staff forgot my hot water and grapefruit juice, but they were able to make up for it with reminders. Overall, it was a good dining experience. The order taking and service itself was quite longer than we would've thought it would be. We probably waited for our order for at least 15 min. We ordered the Chirashu Ramen, Tonkotsu Miso and Agedashi Tofu. However, Sapporo Miso Ramen was mistakenly served to us instead of the Tonkotsu Miso which was quite disappointing. The food were great. The broths were light and nicely balanced with flavour, not too salty. The shrimps in the Sapporo Miso Ramen were cooked perfectly but the pork in the Chirashu Ramen was a bit chewy. The soy sauce served with the Agedashi Tofu had a hint of sweetness which was quite refreshing to the palate. Overall, the food satisfied our cravings but the promptness and accuracy of the service could be improved.

Service was very attentive, with staff clearing bowls and refilling water frequently. It's quite a small restaurant with very little seating (we saw lots of people turned away during peak dinner hours), so a reservation is recommended on Fridays or weekends. Overall a nice spot and would visit again.

I have also got a free bowl of soup and a free dessert that expired five days after the deal was in my offers in the Z! Eats app. Zoup! (also known as Z! Eats) currently has three locations in Ontario. I tend to go to the one on Dixie in Mississauga, as it's closest to my workplace. I decided to expand my horizons last Saturday by visiting this one in Newmarket while I was in the area running a few errands. This eatery is by highway 404, so it's convenient to get here. It's in the same plaza as Booster Juice. This eatery is in a row of four businesses, between Starbucks and Osmow's. I pulled into the parking lot on a Soggy Saturday. I pulled out my Z! Eats app and placed my order. I had a $2-off offer to use. I got the following items: - Wild mushroom barley soup - Pulled pork mac and cheese I paid through the app. I had to add a credit card. All was great. I got an estimated time of five minutes for my order to be ready. I got distracted seeing a bakery in the same plaza. I visited it while waiting for my order to be ready. I probably spent fifteen minutes at this bakery. Oops! I drove back to Z! Eats (it's a vast plaza) and got the same parking spot. I walked into the eatery. I was the only person here. I got a friendly man who happened to be the owner. I complimented his hours. This eatery is open till 7 pm on Saturdays. The Dixie location is open till 5 pm, but I have been there well before closing and it was already closed. It was a lovely chat. I wasn't expecting him to give me a coupon for a BOGO entree option the next time that I am here or at the Cambridge location. So nice! He asked me whether I wanted butter with my baguette. I said yes. He had my order ready and handed it over to me. He wished me a safe drive, as there was a freezing rain warning. I wished him the same thing when he hit the road in an hour. I took the backroads and then feasted at home. I am absolutely longing to have the wild mushroom barley soup again. It had so many sliced mushrooms, carrots, onions, barley, and more. It was hearty and delicious. I got a bowl. I find the cup to be too small. I haven't tried whatever the larger size is. I may need to get it next time. This soup was fabulous. It's also vegan. The pulled pork mac and cheese was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to get shells. They were perfect to scoop up more of the cheesy sauce. The shells were cooked perfectly. I loved it. The pulled pork was generous. I liked that the barbeque sauce was drizzled over the pulled pork only. Sometimes, the sauce is overly sweet that it overpowers everything. The sauce was smoky and tangy. It was perfect without dominating the mac and cheese. I tend to have the baguette the next day for breakfast. I like making eggs, slicing the baguette in half, toasting it in a pan, and then putting scrambled eggs on top of each slice. The baguette is excellent and I always look forward to getting it with my soup. You can also get crackers instead of the baguette. If you don't like either, you can also say no thanks. It was my first time getting mac and cheese at Z! Eats. So good! I'll be back for more. This location had tables and chairs if you'd like to dine in. It was clean and cheerful. I'm glad that I dropped by this eatery. I'll be back for more. It's the closest location to my home. (115)

It was not chunky like other baked potato soups & was quite smooth. Lobster bisque was good - rich with a pronounced sherry note.  French onion soup was pretty good. Since it was scooped it couldn't be broiled by the bowl but there was still a fair bit of cheese in the soup. Turkey chill was good - rich & chunky. There was more turkey than I expected.  Italian wedding soup was good, with a nice herb profile. Roadhouse sirloin chili was a nice rendition of chili, with a spin of using beef shreds. French bread hunks (served with the soups) were decent. I could tell they would be amazing if they were fresh & crusty. Italian market sandwich was decent. The herbed bread was good & the toppings decent. Too bad iceberg lettuce was one of the vegetables. The balsamic vinaigrette glaze was too light though. Buffalo chicken mac & cheese was decent. The richness of the sauce doesn't go with the tartness of buffalo though & the tomato on top had a weird texture. The chicken was not crispy.

The service was pretty good, and we got to sit outdoors on the patio on a beautiful sunny day - one simply can't ask for a better dining experience. One complaint from a couple in our party was the coffee tasted and smelled like dish soap. In spite of the time told to us by the hostess. It was our first time there. Our orders were placed. Yet the food seemed to take a long time to get to our table. Meanwhile others got seated after us and their food was out to them, shortly after they sat and ordered. Catfish burger 11/10. Portobello mushroom burger 7/10. It seemed to be missing something. Salads were phenomenal 10/10. Mac'n'cheese, another 10/10. And I never eat that. At all, it was really, really good. Top of the line. The staff were friendly, yet I couldn't help but notice how it seemed our table lacked attention in getting served. I dont know if its because my friend and I were out of towners. I asked twice for hot sauce that was actually given to our table from a different server than the one who took our order. And she was the second person I asked. Mind you it was fairly busy and I understand that. I appreciated learning of the history of the restuarant. In it being originally a bakery and then taken over by the son-in-law. Maintaining the quality and integrity of the food coming out of the kitchen. Definitely nice to hear and not something experienced often in the big city. My friend and I live in Toronto. The washroom I felt was a little close to the dining area. I think there needs to be some more separateness between the dine area, the washrooms and the kitchen. Smells tend to linger. I also didn't enjoy how they use billybee honey instead of a local one. Aside from that. Great restuarant with a wonderful mission. Will likely return.
