The inside of the restaurant is spacious and can seat about 25; there is no patio available as the restaurant is located in a plaza. I had the pad see ew and spring rolls. Great thai restaurant in Barrie. They have a good selection of authentic thai dishes. I will say that the spice isn't true thai spicy if you ask for it and definitely reduced in comparison to down in Toronto. Regardless flavours are great and it's the best place up here for a thai dish fix. Service is pretty quick and the space holds a decent number of people for its size. There's definitely some good decor to capture a good vibe in the restaurant. I would recommend if you're up in Barrie to check it out. read more

Seeing this has pretty good review, my friends and I decided to have a try. My friend is a vegetarian, so all the dish we order are vegetarian. Coconut soup , green curry and veggies order. Coconut soup we have medium spice. It has no spicy at all. The sourness is a bit more than coconut. Green curry has mild spiciness, it is good. The last veggie, sour more also. All 3 of dish has the same ingredients but different sauce. This is the ever first time in my life has this experience for 3 orders with same ingredients in the restaurant. $50 for two 5/5 Authentic Thai place with such a good rating on Google Maps and that too a justified one. We went here for dinner and my god, it was such a soul-satisfying meal for me. Thai food is my go-to as a vegetarian anyway but this place set very good standards for me. I ordered Fresh Rolls in Appetizer and Pad Thai, Massamman Curry and Steamed Jasmine Rice in Mains. Fresh rolls was such a fresh start than usual fried spring rolls. So light and refreshing. It was served with two sauces and both were on sweeter side. At least, one could be on spicier tone but I think Maine compensated for that, haha. Pad Thai and Massaman Curry were so flavourful - just what I needed on a cold winter night. Spice and warmth. I am still dreaming of those. The server was the sweetest person ever. Overall, it was perfect from every point and I wish it was in my town so I could frequent often. :( read more

I first visited Rim Thanon, Barrie's newest Thai restaurant a couple of weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. It was that good! I visited a second time and tried some different menu items from my first visit and once again, everything was excellent! There are still a lot of menu items I'm looking forward to trying but so far everything has been exceptional and very authentic! First time visit. Tried luncheon special with my wife. Seems that ramen style beef dishes are very popular at the moment. Dish was okay but I think I would have preferred basil beef with a side of peanut sauce from the main menu. The spring rolls and mango salad were a nice favourable addition. Fantastic lunch. This easily the best Thai food I've had in Barrie. From the start, ordering cold rolls, there was a depth of flavour from the fresh veg to herbs. It was outstanding and the presentation was on point. The restaurant was busy, fantastic vibe inside. Service was prompt for the crowd, I was no exception. I have been in here once before, and didn't realize that when I say 'not white people hot, but real hot, I truly meant it l. So I ordered the drink noodles again, the flavour was amazing the first time, I was wondering if they can get the spice profile to match the flavour profile. It did not disappoint. I could have it spicier however, I'm a bit wild like that. The balance of spice and flavour were met. I'm beyond happy. I'd love a nap now, unfortunately life gets in the way. read more
