There's a fish tank in the lobby of the restaurant that my kids love watching (and who is kidding who, I like watching too). Friends who've dined here with me have always been happy with their meal - both sushi and Chinese options. I also often get take out from Sashimi Asian Cuisine. They offer delivery too, but I live close enough that I don't mind picking up.

Both times I was in, it was around 6:45pm, and very quiet (a couple of other tables). This last time, I had the sushi deluxe - 10 pieces of assorted sushi, with a tuna roll. It also comes with soup, and salad, to start - and is more than enough for one person. The fish is fresh, and the rice is perfect. The lychee martini is also delicious - and very moderately priced. I really enjoyed both times I ate here - and will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

Mimi's Kitchen opened very recently in the former Napoli Pizza plaza space near Tractor Supply Co…read morein Hanover. The place is order at the counter and online with table seating inside and smaller table seating outside. The food menu offerings include pizza, calzones, salads, subs, paninis, pasta, burgers, sushi, poke bowls, fries, onion rings, fried calamari, chicken dumplings, meatballs, wings, chicken fingers, street tacos, mozzarella sticks, kids menu, cooler drinks (Coke & Pepsi), and baklava. The pricing seems pretty reasonable. Before going inside, I checked out their online ordering platforms, Toast (in-store menu prices) and DoorDash (higher prices/a few deals). I almost ordered the Haven roll on DD (BOGO), but I decided instead to order on Toast. I ordered the Baked Poblano Peppers ($9 plus tax) and the Bolognese ($14 plus tax) served with garlic bread. The estimated order time on Toast was 15 minutes, but my order was ready & packed in 25 minutes since my items required more prep time. I actually enjoyed some of my hot food at an outside table despite the wind. The portions were generous. The 2 baked stuffed poblano peppers with stuffed with a sweet ricotta & sausage mix with spinach and smothered in a savory tomato sauce, sort of like lasagna, but with peppers instead of noodles. The Bolognese was packed heavy into a foil container with pappardelle noodles, slow cooked meat, carrots, celery, herbs, in a rich creamy tomato sauce. The hot baked garlic bread was buttery. I repacked my food when I enjoyed enough and enjoyed the rest of the food the next evening.

But upon coming up the stairs I saw a welcoming dining room...and we had a great dinner. Pleasantly surprised by how good everything was... the service, the food, and the pricing. --vegan kimchi, oh so good, spicy but not killer --chicken skewer app, super tasty, I wonder what the spice is that gives this a great flavor? --scallion pancakes, these are a bit different from the Chinese version, and really, really good, crispy exterior and soft interior (tho they're a bit oily) --bulgogi, another good choice, the gochujang dipping sauce is a must, but wish they gave more than four lettuce leaves to wrap, the platter is huge Next time in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to returning.

The food was great, and my server was attentive throughout most of the meal. Unfortunately, the way…read morea problem with my drink and the bill was handled at the end left a very bad impression. I ordered a beverage, took two sips, and immediately told the waitress that something was wrong with it. It honestly tasted as though someone had poured perfume into the drink instead of alcohol. I explained that I could not drink it and asked for something else instead. I did not finish the drink and then complain about it. I took two sips, immediately brought the problem to her attention, and returned it. When the check arrived, I noticed that I had been charged for both the undrinkable drink I returned and its replacement. When I politely pointed out that the first drink had not been removed, the reaction was astonishing. Neither person said anything. They simply stared at each other with blank looks and then somberly walked back to the register, as though I had done something wrong by asking them to correct the bill. I should not have had to defend why I should not be charged for a drink that I immediately returned because there was clearly something wrong with it. If the waitress failed to tell the bartender that the drink had been returned and replaced, that was not my responsibility. They eventually brought me a corrected bill. Despite the uncomfortable way the situation was handled, I still calculated my tip on the original total before the drink was removed because I was trying to be gracious. In retrospect, I wish I had not. A simple, "I'm sorry about that, let me fix it," would have ended the matter immediately. Instead, their demeanor made me feel as though I was being difficult or dishonest for raising a completely legitimate issue. The food was very good, but the rudeness at the end of the meal overshadowed what otherwise would have been a very positive experience. No customer should be made to feel that they have to defend themselves for returning an undrinkable drink after two sips.
